Break-Time
I know that makes it seem like I haven’t already been taking a break lmao
Tumblr media
I’m really slow on writing these days! I’ve been a bit busy with school every weekend, and shopping for new furniture for my new room at my dad’s place.
SADLY, I’m gonna have to take a break until after school is over for the Semester (May 14th) before I can write again for you all!!
So this is a little bit of a hiatus/break for me! To get everything situated and all :)
No worries <3 I’ll be back to you all soon enough :)

Hey, I'm the 'Tendou Anonym' from your last ask ^_^. If I remember correctly I already sent you 2 (or was it even 3??) requests for our beloved noodle boy a while ago. But since tumblr has a tendency to eat asks could you maybe give a short summary of the request you have for him, so I could see if mine got through.
Tumblr media
Sure sure!!
I’ll keep it vague-ish since I’m too lazy to just copy and paste lol
1. Spin the Bottle/7Mins in heaven request
2. Scratch Marks on his back
3. S/O is harassed & Shiratorizawa helps out
That’s all tbh! If you guys have any other ideas for our lovely noodle boy (that I’m comfortable with) I will gladly receive them :D Though don’t get booty hurt if I delete the ones I don’t wanna do and don’t announce it…. which I’ve done :)
I am very tired lol

I NEED TENDOU KIDLET SPAWN KNOWLEDGE! I need it like I need /AIR/
An Anon Request that was “/mysteriously/” deleted
Pffffft alright alright calm down - honestly, I only had Tendou having a single daughter for the longest time, but then decided just today that I wanted him to have a son, too… Ya know… so he can be haunted by his own childhood while looking at his offspring? Ah… fun :) Thanks for the request - Admin Satori <3
Tendou Satori:
Akito (Bright Person; Like Autumn Season) - Son (8 years old)
Mirai (The Future) - Daughter (4 months old)
So many people. So much talking. So much staring, he was sure. What did they think? He was a freak, right? That’s probably what they thought. He hadn’t changed much since high school, maybe a hair cut here and there and a few piercings when he revolted against himself… But he’d gotten over that relatively quickly… maybe… Probably not, he did have plans for another ear piercing at the very least…
Did they see the shining on his ears? The one in his eyebrow? The holes in his nose and lip? God, what did they think of him? That he was probably some delinquent who wandered in. They’d probably be calling for the cops or security to get him out of there soon enough. Oh god - then what? What would they do? What would they sa-
“Look, baby girl, look at daddy.” Tendou’s attention was immediately brought away from the surrounding crowd of parents and teachers to where you sat beside him on the bleachers, your hand holding his softly. Mirai, his daughter, looked up from your neck, where she’d been about to put your necklace into her mouth, and smiled toothlessly up at her father.
You’d felt him freeze, you’d noticed his zoned out expression. He was panicking and overthinking, and here you were… you and your daughter… to bring him back to earth and tether him still. You didn’t blame him. The two of you looked a little out of place in such a crowd of pristine parents.
Pristine since you and your husband had somehow made it possible to get your son, Akito, into a private school. He got in easily with his academics and all, and while the payment plan had been horrible in the beginning months… This was the best plan for his intelligence to flourish. This was also the first time the two of you had attended an event at his school - his very first volleyball game!
Mirai reached out to her father, and giggled happily when he leaned his face down so she was cupping his cheeks, “Hey there, little fry, don’t eat mommy’s necklace.. Daddy got that for her forever ago… If anything, I get dibs.” Mirai only giggled more at his talking, the movement of his mouth making her hands press further into his cheeks, feeling the row of his teeth from the outside.
You rolled your eyes with a laugh, “You’d eat my necklace?”
He shrugged with a smile, “I did buy it…” Then he thought better of something and turned his head so he could press a kiss to your lips, only pulling a fraction of an inch away before you could recover from the surprise. He smirked, “Unless you want me to eat something else?”
But you didn’t fall for his clumsy flirting, and instead you leaned closer and ghosted your lips over his, “You forgot to eat before we left the house, didn’t you?” You pulled away enough to see his sheepish expression, shaking your head with a tsk coming from your lips. “I think they have-“
“A concession stand, yeah… Come with me?”
He didn’t want to go alone. Not with this many people around him.
Too many. Too many eyes staring.
His anxiety was creeping up his back, and while he wanted so badly to tune it out like he would in high school and college… he’d met you… and you’d helped him lower all his walls… The birth of your son had him even softer than before…. The birth of your daughter had him walking around as a sentient puddle at this point.
You wanted to. You wanted to go with him and protect him against whatever would absolutely not happen… but you couldn’t. “Satori, I gotta hold our seats…” You gave him an apologetic pout before leaning down and kissing the top of Mirai’s head, hiding your smile in her vibrant red locks, “Get me some chips or something, yeah?”
Tendou pouted, slouching forward in his seat comically and making Mirai giggle at her father’s silly actions, which only brought his attention to his daughter, “Mommy’s so mean to me, Little Fry Mirai!” His baby girl was too young to understand anything going on, so it wasn’t a surprise when he only got a playful raspberry in response. He gave one back at his sassy girl and you whined about being spit on from two different directions. “Fine, fine fine…. But you owe me!” He stood, tall as ever, and pointed at you with a mischievous smile, “Another baby.”
A violent blush overtook your whole body, and you smacked his pointing finger out of your face, “Satori!” He sent you a wink, even going so far as blowing you a ‘seductive’ kiss, before he was making his way down the bleachers to where he’d seen the concession stand before. “Your daddy is…..” You looked down at Mirai, who’d found interest in your necklace once more, “…. The love of my life…” You sighed with a bright smile, your hand brushing back her bright hair and feeling your heart swell when her red eyes met yours; Your husband could only produce identical copies of his own genes apparently.
He was a wonderful father, though.
Of course, he’d had such a low self esteem when the two of you met that even the thought of having a child with someone would send him into a self-depreciating spiral into darkness… but you’d shown him hope. You’d walked into his life, won his heart with memes and inside jokes and not being a complete dick about his appearance…. You loved him. The moment you’d met him, you’d known he was your forever… And while he hadn’t been so convinced and had been initially adverse to letting you close…. He grew attached to your persistence and determination…
And he fell hard.
It wasn’t surprising when you became pregnant after a couple months of dating him… Honestly, you were kind of surprised since you couldn’t remember not using protection… but hey, you took things as they came at you - you flowed without a fuss and handled situations as they were presented… And yes, you’d been worried that Tendou wouldn’t want to have a family so soon or even want you to be part of it or wouldn’t participate in being a father at all…
But he’d stepped up. Scared and worried and riddled with anxiety and voices saying he couldn’t ever measure up…. He stepped up and was there for you. The horrible morning sickness. The weird cravings. The first sonogram. He’d been the first person, including yourself, who’d felt your son kick from the outside.
Words couldn’t describe the way his face lit up from that feeling.
You’d like to think that was the moment he’d started being okay with being a dad so young.
Tendou wiped his hands on the edge of his shirt as he approached the little table, asking for their makeshift meal and a bag of chips for you… They were staring. Hardcore staring. He could feel the heat of embarrassment rising up his neck. Why was it so hard to ignore the staring? Couldn’t they just look away? He was just getting food like everyone else…
“Freaky weirdo~!”
Tendou flinched… only to immediately realize no one had said that to him…
Someone had said it… just not to him. He took his items and looked around the immediate area.
Nothing. Just staring people.
“What’s wrong with you? You’re different from us! Weird! Creepy!”
Around the corner maybe? Tendou forced himself not to focus on the people around him staring. He couldn’t focus on them right now. Not when he was hearing more or less the same insults he’d received when he was a kid.
“Were you grown in a lab? You’re so ugly!”
“I bet your mom left because you’re so horribly weird looking!”
“Freak!”
“Loser!”
Every insult had an aching spreading throughout Tendou’s body, sprouting from his heart - he remembered. He remembered every moment he was bullied and pushed around… and from the sound of it, so would this kid if Tendou didn’t put a stop to the vicious cycle.
Rounding the corner, Tendou felt the blood drain from his face… Everything faded away.
Akito. His son. Shoulders curled inwards, arms brought up to his head to protect himself as the kids surrounding him punched just beside him against the lockers. The slam of the metal making his son jump with fear, his lips curling inward to hide his whimpers and cries. There were tears.
Tendou could see his tears ….
“Leave me alone!” Akito begged, but the kids didn’t listen. “Leave me alone!” He wanted to fight back. He wanted to prove to them he was stronger than them and he wasn’t a freak or a weirdo. Akito may look like his father, but he had your fighting spirit… or was at least developing it.
His footsteps alerted the bullies. Their heads turning to see just who had interrupted their fun. “Oh?” He hummed, though he wanted to yell, “And just what are you all doing?” Akito looked up at the sound of his fathers voice, relief relaxing his expression just the slightest.
“Oh!” He’d caught them off guard. They hadn’t known their victim had been loud enough to draw the attention of an adult. “Uh… Nothing! Just talking to our friend here!” They gave sickly smiles as they pulled Akito from the lockers and wrapped their arm around his shoulders, though it was hard since Akito had his father’s childhood height. If there was ever a image definition of ‘uncomfortable’ it would be his son’s expression in that moment.
Tendou knew better of course. He’d been there to see it from the relative beginning… and he’d lived through it when he was his son’s age. He knew what was going on. But…..
No. No buts, he decided. The buts of bullying ended today. It ended here and now.
He gathered his courage and stepped closer to the boys, his red eyes seeming to glow with his intense glare directed towards the young boys. “If you ever touch him again….” He couldn’t threaten children could he? What kind of…. They hurt his son. He could see the signs of a black eye forming on the inside of the cup of his son’s eye. “It’ll be the last thing you ever do.” Ominous enough to be taken many ways….
At least if the kids told on Tendou, he could play innocent in that it wasn’t a direct threat. Not really. But they, the bullies, would know it was something to be taken seriously.
Without warning, Tendou reached forward and grabbed his son by the arm - with a grip that told him to hurry and follow, but making sure not to squeeze too hard… in case his son was really hurting from what had happened.
Akito was quick to duck under the bully’s hold, sending a sheepish wave in their direction as he allowed his father to pull him back down the hall. He wouldn’t be playing in the game today. The coach had already benched him since there were far better players on the team…. Not that it mattered much to Akito…. He just liked playing whenever he could!
But the thought of going back to the bleachers… where you would be sitting… where he’d have to explain his forming bruises and why his dad looked on edge….
The young boy felt sick to his stomach, and pulled his dad’s quick pace to a stop…. Tendou didn’t have to look at his son’s expression to know what he was feeling. Both of them loved you very much, but Tendou knew from experience that the moment you found out someone was bullying your loved ones…. You wouldn’t tolerate a single second more of it.
Which would always place them in the spotlight of everyone’s stares while you put the bully in their place.
There were too many people around for Tendou to be comfortable with that now.
Especially with his son being in the crossfire as well? He shook his head to push out the thoughts before turning to face his boy, kneeling down on one knee to be on his level. “This is gonna feel weird, but…. It’ll help hide it for now…” Dad always came prepared. Tendou pulled out a small tube.
Concealer.
Ever since his first run in with bullies in middle school, Tendou always kept a bottle on him. To hide the results of those run ins. To disguise the bruises at least until he was safe and home. This wouldn’t be any different…. Only it was entirely different.
This was his son.
Guilt rose inside his heart at the sight of the forming bruises, his long fingers rubbing the cream softly over the signs of bullying. He’d failed. As a father. As a protector…. He couldn’t keep his son safe. “I’m sorry, Akito….” His heart broke in his chest when Akito’s red eyes met his own; so much trust and understanding… Tendou knew he didn’t deserve it.
Akito was a bit taken aback…. His dad rarely called him by his name. It was always pet names. Kid. Kiddo. Fry. Noodle. Fire-stack. Troll doll. It was how he showed his affection, and it helped Akito quickly come to terms with his appearance because these were the same nicknames Tendou had been given when he was growing up. Troll doll and kiddo were Akito’s favorites, honestly.
But no nickname? Something was wrong.
And, much like you would, he acted accordingly. Akito wrapped his arms around his father’s neck and held him as close as he could. “It’s okay, daddy… I’m okay.” And he was. Sure he’d been hit, and bullied, and teased… and sure that’d taken a few hits to his pride…. But he was proud of his dad, and he was happy with how he looked.
You and Tendou had succeeded in making him comfortable with who he was.
Tendou held his son close, hiding his face in his shoulder and closing his eyes tightly. His baby boy was so strong… So much stronger than Tendou had been at his age. “Your mom is gonna kill them…” He muttered, and the responding laugh of his boy had Tendou’s internal panic settling.
Everything would be okay….
A/N: I did not write this request for a full 2-3 days just for it to have been deleted.... I am... SO mad right now.... shaking with rage....

Haha…. Yall know me…. If I don’t have an idea, I just make one up as I go ;D lol I’m so glad you guys like this little 3 parter! I honestly didn’t think it’d be this big of a hit!!! Thanks for the request! - Admin Satori
Part 1 here     Part 2 here
Kuroo Tetsurou:
Souma (Real/Genuine) - Son (6)
“So… are you guys dating?”
Startled at the question, you turned to your co-worker with wide eyes, “U-uh w-what?” Not that they didn’t know what was going on; They’d been your first friend when you’d started working at the school! “I-i… uh….” You felt confusion color your expression in a warm heat, “Who?”
But they simply rolled their eyes with a smile, “The alley cat.” A raised eyebrow, and yet you still looked confused, “The smart kids dad.”
Your mouth opened into a small ‘o’ as you realized who they were referring to. “O-oh…. Uh… Kuroo-san…” He’d told you to call him by his first name a while ago…. But you’d simply save that for when he was around - there was no need for you to embarrass yourself further. “Of-of course not.” You laughed nervously, “Uhm… We’re just friends.”
They smiled knowingly, “Uh-huh… Friends who go over to each others homes for dinner pretty much every night…. That’s what friends do, right?” They raised their eyebrows in question, a teasing lilt to their voice.
“He’s a great cook…” You muttered guiltily. It wasn’t a lie. Every night you’d go over for dinner, after being invited the previous evening, and he’d make these… amazing dishes. Complex in flavor being both spicy and sweet or salty and smooth….
At this point, you were excited to see what he’d make for dinner each night - or what conversation Souma would spark up about his excelled class regime or what new chemical Kuroo was testing out in his labs….
Sato, your co-worker, simply hummed in thought, “You should pay him back, you know… It’s kind of mean for a girlfriend to not reciprocate that kind of affection~.”
“We aren’t dating!” You huffed out, feeling your cheeks heat even more at the mere thought. Of course, you wanted to be dating him. He’s cute. He’s funny. He’s got a good heart…. His son’s adorable…. But be it forbidden that you ever admit to having a crush on your former students father….
But the thought of dating Kuroo didn’t leave you. The rest of the day you were plagued with the fantasies of his holding you close, his lips against yours or pressing against your neck or forehead…. His hands gripping your hips or thighs…. His calling your name-“ _________-sensei!”
Flushed with shame and embarrassment, you responded to your student requesting your attention.
——
“So when are you gonna ask _______-sensei to live with us?”
Kuroo nearly choked on his sip of water, rushing to put the cup down before he was looking at his son with wide eyes, “W-what the-“ He stopped himself from continuing that question, trying his hardest to never swear in front of his boy.
But Souma didn’t seem fazed by his father’s surprise. In fact, he looked expectant for an immediate answer.
Live with them? How in the hell did Souma get to that conclusion? All that was happening was you having dinner with them… every… night…. oh..
He cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck a bit awkwardly, “Uh, buddy? I thought we talked about this? _______-sensei is just a friend of ours. Why would she be living with us?”
Souma pouted, “Well… Because they’re always here. Isn’t it mean to make someone travel distances they don’t need to travel?”
Distances… Meaning you going to work, going home to change, then coming all the way back out to their house for dinner before going all the way back to sleep for the next day to start…. It was a lot of back and forth, Kuroo knew… but an invitation wasn’t mandatory to accept. If you felt there was too much back and forth, or you felt uncomfortable with the amount of travel just for a free meal… you were more than welcome to reject the invitation.
It’d break his heart, but it was your choice to make.
Going a single day without seeing you would definitely be something he’d have to get used to if you decided to stop. It’d been about 3 months since you’d first come by for dinner. Every evening after that there you were eating dinner with him and his son… Acting as if you were part of the family already, something he found himself longing for.
Maybe it was because Souma really liked you…..
No. Kuroo wasn’t going to lie to himself. Souma liking you was just a plus, honestly… A priority, but a plus nonetheless……
He liked you. Really really liked you. The thought of you not coming around to eat dinner or visit for a single day made Kuroo’s heart ache.
Why? Was he alone in this feeling? Were you really just coming by to hang out with his son and get some free food? Was he just wasting his time preparing these extravagant meals that he’d had only a few minutes to read up on before making?
“Daddy!” Kuroo met his son’s disgruntled expression almost immediately, “Don’t ignore me.” He muttered, and Kuroo couldn’t help but laugh softly.
“I would NEVER.” A swear on his life. He grabbed his son in his arms, lifting him high above the ground and resting him on his shoulder, “Ahhhh, duck!” Souma immediately ducked as they entered the kitchen, just nearly missing hitting his head on the doorway - something Kuroo wouldn’t have let actually happen, but the playfully irritated look on his son’s face was worth it.
——
Tonight felt… different. You weren’t sure why, but it did. The air was charged excitedly, as if it were waiting for something to happen - to you or to someone else, that you couldn’t feel. But it lay in wait the entire rest of your day into your evening.
Nothing to wear! Nothing you wanted to wear anyway! Why was it so hard? Why were you putting in so much effort tonight? Why tonight specifically? Before, you’d simply wear a nice t-shirt and some jeans or pants… Your ‘off-duty’ teacher clothes!
But now? Why did you feel the need to pull down your favorite casual dress? Why did it feel right to slip it over your shoulders? Why was the struggle to zip up the back so satisfying to you??
Cute… You wanted to look cute. You wanted Kuroo to think you were cute…. Maybe it’d spark something… Maybe it’d start something… Probably not, but you wanted that possibility to be open to him.
And now there you stood, in front of his door, hands clasped in front of you nervously after ringing his doorbell. Sweaty palms? Not even! Try shaking hands. Cold feet. You were pretty sure your fingers were so cold they’d lost all feeling.
“Sensei!” Souma cheered happily as he opened the door, “I missed you all day today!” His words shot straight to your heart, and you smiled widely as you kneeled down and took him into your arms in a tight hug. “I have so much to tell you about school today! So much happened! And then daddy made this cool thing at work and it-“
“Oi! That’s my story, kid!” Kuroo poked his head around the front door, quickly looking away with a slight blush at the sight of you holding his son so close. Cute. “Dinner’s almost done!” As quickly as he’d come, he was back in the kitchen, hiding his embarrassing thoughts in the deep recesses of his brain while he struggled to focus on the meal he was making.
You smiled shyly, but quickly pushed away your thoughts of him as Souma continued to chatter in front of you, his hand taking yours and leading you inside the house.
Still a mess. You wondered if Kuroo ever actually cleaned or if he kind of just tossed things around until a path was made amongst the chaos. As embarrassed as he was about the mess every time you came over, he didn’t really seem to make an effort to clean it up after you’d made sure he knew it didn’t bother you.
It didn’t. Honest and true. Your apartment was a mess, less so than their house but a mess all the same.
——
Dinner came and went. Filled with shy sideways glances between you and Kuroo. You’d catch him staring as you talked to Souma… Or he’d catch you staring while he playfully bickered back and forth with his son. You’d never blushed for so long before, it was like every time he even spared you a single flicker of his golden eyes you felt like someone was holding a flame inches from your face. So warm. His gaze was so intense even when it was just the shadow of what he could actually stare at you with.
Oh, you wished he’d actually stare at you. Stare at you and not look away when you swallowed your nerves and met his gaze.
Maybe you were thinking too forward. He was a single dad of a young boy… No mother or father in sight… You didn’t know what had happened with them, but they’d left their child and Kuroo behind in their path…. Kuroo was a busy man, making sure they had enough money for their house and bills and Souma’s schooling and supplies….
Maybe you had to step up for him?
You’d helped with the dishes and cleaning up after dinner. Standing beside Kuroo at the sink with Souma on the other side of you. Kuroo would wash, you’d rinse, and Souma would dry and put them away.
Kuroo was so close to you. Closer than you’d ever had him before… Inches. You could feel his body heat on your left side, see every flex of his arms as he cleaned his plates and cooking utensils. What did it feel like to have his hands on you? Holding you close? Stroking through your hair or caressing your face? Did he have soft hands? You wondered how big his hand was compared to yours, his longer fingers could most definitely bend over your shorter ones.
This was getting out of control. You barely knew him-
No. You’d known him for a couple of months. You’d learned a lot about him. Not anything about Souma’s mother… but enough to know something had happened to them that had been an accident…. You weren’t close enough to learn that backstory yet, so what made you think you were close enough for him to be romantically interested in you?
Doubt surged in your chest. Maybe it was right. Maybe you were seeing what you wanted to see. Maybe he was just being nice because his son really liked having you around?
Uncomfortable. You felt like your cute casual dress was 30 pounds heavier on your shoulders and hips… Had you been fooling yourself this whole time?
Souma had walked with you to the door, “And tomorrow, daddy said we’re gonna make mochi! Sensei, I’m so excited! It’s gonna be cold in the house though… so I think you should bring a jacket… Just in case! Frost bite is scary!”
You smiled down at him, kneeling in front of him before you stepped out of the house, “I’m sure it’s going to be so much fun, Souma… We gotta make sure you don’t get sick though, okay? You’ve missed a lot of school this semester.”
He looked down with pink cheeks and tinted ears, surprised you’d heard about his absences, “Ah… you.. you heard about that…” He gave you a sheepish smile as he looked from under his lashes at you, “I was sick…”
But you only laughed softly and ‘booped’ his nose, “From all this ice cream your dad keeps feeding you!”
“Eh?” Kuroo rounded the corner, “I don’t force feed it to him or anything, if he doesn’t want it he doesn’t have to eat it!”
More laughter as you stood from your kneeling, not seeing Souma make his sneaky escape… leaving you and Kuroo just inside the house, “Expecting a child to not eat ice cream as an option isn’t very sound logic, Tetsurou.” His name slipped passed your lips so effortlessly, but still your stomach clenched in anticipation. Each time you’d said his name that night, you’d felt like your insides were fluttering excitedly… God you had it bad.
He scratched the back of his head with a dorky smile, the result of you calling him by his name yet again, “And I don’t think they’d put an illogical man in a chemist lab so… checkmate.” He stuck his tongue out at you.
You smiled softly, letting out an amused hum, “Well, you’ve got me there.” You pretended to wave a white flag of surrender, “Out brained once again.”
The mood settled as the two of you stood there. It would have been awkward… if it weren’t for that charged feeling you’d felt earlier in the day. It was comfortable for the most part… and for the other part it was anxiety inducing. What was going to happen? There were so many options presented before you for you to take - as the one taking action or even the one reacting to one….
But just before you were about to make your move - he spoke.
“I really appreciate you doing this, _________.” Your name rolled off his tongue so easily, it shot you straight in the heart… though this shot felt warm and had your heart racing excitedly. “I know it’s not easy, going back and forth all the time… but it really makes Souma happy to see you every day and be able to talk to you for hours on end.”
Deflated. Oh… This was about Souma. You should have known.
You didn’t let it faze you, though. You smiled warmly up at him, though you knew it didn’t reach your eyes, “Of course. He’s a very bright boy… He’s going to do amazing things when he’s older… I’m just lucky enough to have been an influencer in getting him closer to those dreams of his.” You owed Souma so much more than just those dreams… for meeting his father? You owed that child the entirety of existence.
But Kuroo wasn’t finished just yet. He stepped forward, now only a couple feet in front of you… You didn’t feel intimidated in the least. Your heart only kicking up speed in your chest as you tilted your head a bit better to be able to meet his golden eyes. He stared down at you intensely. No longer was he the awkward blushing dork you’d seen a few minutes ago. He’d been switched out with who he’d been before he’d become a father.
This was Kuroo.
He smiled down at you, and it wasn’t one you recognized.. This was mischievous… This smile had a secret behind it… and you wanted to find out what it was. “More than that though…. I’m happy when you’re around…” Forward. It felt like the air was knocked straight from your lungs at his confident confession. “I’d really like to have you around more often, if that’s okay with you…”
Heart hammering, you nodded slowly, “I… I’m more than okay with that…”
A quiet hum from him had the air between you two vibrating as he leaned down, “Are you okay with this?” His head tilted before his lips were just a hairs length from yours, his eyes hooded as he took in your reaction, committing your wide surprised eyes to memory. You wanted more, you wanted to be closer to him… You wanted to touch.
So you did. While he was busy giving you a ghost of a kiss, you’d rested your hands on his chest, fingers wrapping in his shirt to keep him close. He felt so warm under his shirt, you wanted to feel more, to hold him closer… Why were you longing for him so much? It was just a crush, right? …. Right?
“Daddy! Don’t forget to read me a bedtime story! It’s almost bedtime!”
Kuroo inhaled sharply as he stood up straight, away from your waiting lips. And while it was a disappointment of a buildup… you couldn’t ever be mad at little Souma… Kuroo looked over his shoulder at his son, who had simply popped his head around the corner. You much rather would have been kissing this man before you, but in this circumstance, you simply rested your forehead against his chest with giggles barely contained.
“Yeah, kiddo, I’ll be in there soon. Gimme a few minutes.” But the intense Kuroo was gone for now… Back into ‘dad’ mode, he guessed. His hands rested on your waist a bit awkwardly at first before he felt your giggles shaking your body. “Oh? What’s so funny?” He tilted his head a bit to be able to see the side of your face as you leaned your forehead against his chest still.
You pulled away with a wide smile, staring up at him with bright eyes, “I’m just…. relieved…” and you were. This whole time you’d been going back and forth with yourself on whether or not you were fooling yourself into thinking he was interested in you… and now? After that? You knew he was. And the feeling of being wanted by someone as amazing as him was… it made you giddy!
“Oh yeah?” He smirked down at you, leaning down once more as if he were going to kiss you this time, but he stopped short, “Well… Enjoy it while it lasts… Because our first kiss isn’t going to be mediocre….”
Then he pressed his lips to your forehead… which, honestly, was a pretty good second.
He walked you to your car, held and closed your door for you before leaning against the car door, “So… This Friday? You have any plans?”
If you did, you’d drop them all immediately for him. But you knew you didn’t have anything planned. Teacher life was kind of boring after the 12th drawing you had to ‘grade’… Thankfully, you, too, had a deadline for when your stuff had to be submitted. “Why?”
Kuroo smirked as he leaned against your car window, “I’d like to take you on a date…”
A/N: Oof! Definitely didn’t plan that ending but haha I liked it :D

Awww cute! Love love love this idea! Thanks for requesting! - Admin Satori
Kuroo Tetsurou:
“Hey, baby, what’s up?” You happily answered the call. The word ‘panther man
No answer. Not immediately.
You pulled the phone away from your ear to make sure you’d even answered the phone. Yeah, the clock was ticking away the seconds you’d been listening to silence. Bringing it back, you could just barely hear faint breathing. Had he called you and accidentally fallen asleep? You hadn’t taken that long to answer, so that was unlikely…. Did he forget he called you? Maybe he’d called and then set his phone off to the side before rolling over for the night.
But then he would have heard your voice answer, right? He’s got better hearing than anyone you know.
“Tetsu…?” You tried again.
A gentle inhale. Acknowledgement that you’d answered and were waiting for him to say something. He was awake and on the other end of the line…. Yet he still remained quiet.
This was worrisome. You couldn’t remember a time, other than when he was sleeping or eating, that he’d been quiet like this. Even during class he was usually goofing around and causing scenes….
“Baby?” You held your phone in both hands, wishing there was a way for you to push your head through the screen to see his face or to see at least what it was that he was doing. “Tetsu, you okay?”
He took another slow inhale before you could hear him turning in bed. The rustling of the phone meant he’d taken the phone from his ear to move easier, pressing it against the mattress under him as he lifted and turned. Then he was back on the line with a quiet, “I’m.. fine…”
Definitely not. He didn’t sound okay. If you knew Kuroo like you think you did, and you’d been dating him for the better part of 4 years now, you knew something was wrong.
But you couldn’t just come out and call out his lying - that never worked in any situation, right? Not that you’d ever had to do that with him, since most of the time he was already in a good mood before you pointed out his mischievous ways!
Now was different though. “Tetsu… What’s the matter?” You didn’t lay down, you didn’t turn off your side table lamp… You sat on the edge of your bed, both hands on the phone with it pressed to your ear to hear every inhale and exhale he had - waiting on the tip of a cliff for his response. “Talk to me.”
Kuroo was quiet again. For less time this round, but still longer than you’ve ever been used to. “I don’t know….” He whispered, voice shaking at the truth of his admission. He had no idea what was so wrong that he felt like his world was ending. Nothing particular had happened, nothing serious - he’d gotten home from class, taken a shower, relaxed all day while you were at your classes, then made dinner…. It was probably right before bed that he’d been hit so seriously with the most down in the dumps feelings he’d ever had in his whole life! He was worried, and a bit scared, of what he was feeling and why he was feeling it so intensely. “Can…” His voice broke, and you held your breath for his question, “Can I come over?”
What a silly question. He’d never asked for permission before, either. Ever since the two of you graduated high school, he was free to come and go as he pleased from your apartment. You hadn’t found anyone to room with you, so there was plenty of freedom for visitors. So he hadn’t bothered asking and just…. Would visit and hangout whenever he wanted or felt like.
It through you for a split second, and you could practically feel him holding his breath for your answer. “O-of course, Tetsu. You’re always welcomed here.” You’d never been presented with his question from him before… so you were a little lost on what exactly to say to convince him that he wasn’t invited. “I always want you around me.” You blushed with your confession, and prayed he didn’t think you were just saying that.
Because you weren’t. You loved him. He was your boyfriend and, if he so chose, your future husband… You’d drop anything and everything if it was for his happiness and satisfaction. Well, not everything as that would be a telltale sign of an unhealthy relationship - but almost everything!
There was a pause of silence before you could hear him sitting up in bed and moving about his room. “I’ll be there in 20 minutes.” Then a click and the call ended.
20 minutes? That was pretty quick on his part considering he went to the university across town from yours. On a Friday night? There would be traffic! How did he expect to get here so quickly.
He better be careful, is all you knew - otherwise he’d have hell to pay from your end!
Like he’d said. 20 minutes later, and he was knocking at your apartment door.
“Holy hell, you were serious.” You sighed with a tired smile as you opened the door for him. He stepped in and immediately pulled you into a hug.
That caught you by surprise. Not because he never hugged you, but because he’d completely ignored your teasing and instead went straight for… comfort?
You let the door go so it could close on its own before wrapping your arms around his neck and holding him close. “Tetsu…. Babe… What’s the matter?” You whispered quietly, leaning your head against his and closing your eyes. You could feel his breathing fan across your neck and shoulder, feel how tightly his hands fisted your clothes to keep you in place; He was so warm… He’d been so worked up by whatever was bothering him, you wondered if he’d cried on his way over or if he’d just been bottling it up this whole time. “Talk to me, baby.” You pleaded quietly, letting your fingers stroke through his messy black hair, pressing the pads into his scalp just the way he liked.
Kuroo frowned against you, hating that he was so weak right now. He’d never felt this way before - and he didn’t know what was causing it - but holding you so very close, feeling your body against his and your voice in his ear…. It soothed him. It brought sense back to his head. But he didn’t know what was wrong. “I don’t know…” You wouldn’t believe him, a mean voice in his head stated.
But you didn’t push it. Because you knew that was a valid explanation. You couldn’t count how many times you’d had a breakdown and not known why exactly it was happening. Emotions build without your knowledge, and crying or being sad was just a coping mechanism to make sure those emotions don’t explode negatively!
You were just glad he’d reached out to you when he was feeling this way.
“It’s okay…” You whispered, letting your other hand snake under his arm to rub up and down his back. “Let’s do something to keep your mind off it, yeah?” You pulled your head back enough to see his expression. He looked so tired. Had he been sleeping well at all? Or had this feeling just been haunting him for the past couple of days?
The worst feeling was… you didn’t know. You and Kuroo were in love, yes, but you didn’t see each other every day. He went to the fancy university across town and you’d been happy with a full time job and a community college near your family home… The two of you didn’t see each other every day, and instead of FaceTime calls, it’d be texts or just regular voice calls….
Guilt. You felt guilty you hadn’t known this was happening to him. What kind of girlfriend were you?
But that could wait. You could be disappointed in yourself later. Right now, Kuroo needed you, and you were going to cheer him up, dammit!
He was reluctant at first. Not wanting to go anywhere - but when you bribed him with a shopping trip to Target, where he could get any snacks he wanted… He was content walking into the store with you. This is where you went with your fiends when you weren’t feeling yourself. Target and Ikea.
You held his hand in yours, fingers laced as you entered the store, making a beeline straight to the chips and snacks section and watching as he picked out his favorites. He showed you with a less than enthused expression, and you huffed with a roll of your eyes before taking it and opening it for him to eat. “_______, we haven’t-“
“Shhhhhhhush. Just eat it. We’ll pay for it when we leave, no biggie.” You smiled up at him as he shrugged and took a chip into his mouth, “OR! Even better, they’ll think we already bought it and not throw a hissy fit…. Plus it’s like… 10pm, I doubt the night shift cares what we do.” You took his hand after he’d grabbed a handful and stuffed his face, leading him over into the ‘home’ section. “And here! Look, we’re already home!” You dropped his hand to extend your arms in a ‘presentation’ pose.
Kuroo was not impressed. Nonchalantly, he ate another chip as he stared down at you.
A loud sigh escaped you as you slouched in your crouched position, “Tetsurou, look! We have all this cute patio furniture as our home, isn’t it cute?” You smiled widely, showing you were really trying to make him somewhat happier than he was earlier. “See? We could have the pool over here,” You motioned to a section of the display, “And the jacuzzi over here,” Another section motioned to, “And then we have the sleeping healing pods like in Dragon Ball Z right here!”
That took him off guard, and pride swell in your chest at the sound of his amused snort.
“We’ll even get the pods conjoined so we can hold hands while we sleep.” You giggled before taking a seat in one of the patio swing chairs. It was an egg shape, so there was a bit of shade from the blaring lights above.
“What if we want sex?”
You snickered, “That’s what the jacuzzi’s for, buddy.” You sent him a playful wink before bringing your legs into the egg chair and feeling it swing with the released stop of your leg. “Come on, I think there’s room for two in here.” You knew there wasn’t, but hey - it’d be funny if the two of you ended up getting stuck super close in an enclosed space, right?
Kuroo rolled his eyes and instead twisted the egg so it spun, you yelped in surprise before throwing your leg back out on the floor to stop the spinning, “I can’t believe you’d make your poor husband live in a down trodden place like this. Don’t I mean anything to you?” He was playing along. You pretended to hurl, making ‘gagging’ noises as you exited the egg chair, “And now you’re gonna throw up on the few nice things we have, great.”
Warm hand in yours, you pulled him towards the toiletries, knowing there’d be more stuff to play with over there. You had an idea and you wanted to see if he’d play along then at least a bit more. “Fine fine, look, we’re spending all this money and time looking for a better home….” You paused, seeing an out of place plush toy. “Look, we have a bundle of joy, too.” You took the toy from its shelf and, carefully, handed it to him, “What do we wanna name him?”
“Little asshole.”
“Tetusurou-!”
“Fine fine….. Souma…..” He muttered, a light blush dusting his cheeks as he uttered the name he really liked…. For your future kid with you….
You looked down at the stuffed animal lovingly, “Kuroo Souma…. I love it…” You smiled up at him, leaning up and kissing his pink cheek - deciding his blush was for him to handle on his own and not for you to point out and make fun of…. For now. “He looks just like his daddy.” This at least, was a tease of it’s own as the stuffed animal was indeed a donkey. Or… in your meaning, a Jackass.
Kuroo smirked, “Well, he’s got your brains… so I guess he’s screwed, huh?”
“Oho! Scathing!” You laughed before pulling him towards where you’d originally been going before seeing the little toy. “And look, our new house! There’s so many rooms, and a lot of backyard space for more little babies and our friends and family to come hang out!” You let go of his hand before showcasing the toilet paper racks…. Bundles of white paper rolls packaged and displayed in small towers - that could easily be hollowed out to make a small bunker behind the plush paper.
Which is what you did.
Before long, you and Kuroo… and Souma the donkey…. Were sitting on beanbags behind a wall of toilet paper. You’d brought over more snacks and some drinks. He insisted on holding the toy and eating at the same time, making you jokingly question his future parenting skills…. But everything seemed better for him. He seemed happier now - laughing and joking around as he pretended to tell his ‘son’ a story of when you’d stepped in a puddle of melted ice at his apartment once and complained the entire rest of the day.
You wanted to ask him. You really did. You wanted to ask him what was wrong and make sure he knew it was going to be okay. Because you had his back. You were his friend before you were his girlfriend, and making sure he was happy was priority number one for both roles.
But before you could actually gather the courage to ask him, he beat you to the punch.
“I think we should move in together, _______.”
A/N: I was gonna continue this…but I ran out of time…. so enjoy! :D And if you want more, the ask box is open for it :)

Y’alls writing really cheers me up and makes me feel really happy so would it be possible to request a Very Supportive and Comforting Haji with his s/o where they just went through a pregnancy scare during their 3rd year of college? Bc I sure needed that with mine instead of a guy saying I’d ruin their life if I did end up pregnant :/
Ugh real guys are such trash, love - I’m so sorry that happened and how horrible that guy was :( At least you didn’t get stuck with him!! I will make this as sweet/angsty/gentle and cute as I can!!! Thanks for requesting love! - Admin Satori
Iwaizumi Hajime:
The seconds ticked by. Tapping inside your head like a infinite metronome. You felt cold. So cold. Your fingers were frozen as they gripped the hem of your shorts. This could be the end of your life… The end of everything you knew… And it probably wasn’t as dramatic as you were thinking it was.. But it was. It was a big deal.
Were you pregnant?
Oh God… What if you were? You didn’t have a job. You were a college student! You have so many debts to handle, and a career ahead of you that a baby would only postpone further.. How would you ever take care of it?
A warm hand rested over your cold one. Warm fingers curling around the hem of your shorts to completely encase yours. You glanced up at the owner of the hand, seeing Iwaizumi standing beside you. Your boyfriend of only a year…. And the two of you were having a pregnancy scare?
He didn’t seem scared though… In fact, he had his usual stoic expression on his face… Did he even care? Did he want to have kids this early in life? He didn’t have a job either!
Would he be one of those people who wanted you to get rid of it? Either adoption or abortion? Did he not want this baby at all?…
No. You wouldn’t let that happen. If you were pregnant, you wanted to keep it… You may have only been dating Iwaizumi for a year… but you knew you loved him more than anything - a family with him would be a dream come true…
But this early?
How would you take care of it? Would he help? Or would he just run-
You jumped about a foot off the examination table as the door clicked open. Only your doctor, but the clipboard in his hands held the results for your life. Was this the end of freedom? Iwaizumi held your hand tighter, and you could practically feel the shake of nerves in his heart as the doctor went to speak.
“You’re not pregnant.” The air rushed out of you and Iwaizumi in a combined sigh of relief. The anxiety and panic in your stomach easily unraveling with this news. No baby. No panic. No possible mistake of life choices….. Career plans back in motion. Though, the darkness inside your head brought attention to Iwaizumi’s sigh….
Had he not wanted a baby with you?
The doctor continued with the results, explaining contraceptives that are more effective versus the bad practices that most college students, like yourself, tend to do instead. You weren’t listening … You knew how to avoid pregnancy… Literally the only reason this had happened was because Iwaizumi’s condom broke… That’s all.
Not because you hadn’t taken the pill. Not because he wanted to ‘try’ the ‘pull out method’. Not because you had wanted to get pregnant.
It had been an accident.
So why did his sigh of relief hurt your heart? Why did it plague your mind even as the doctor left the room? Why did you feel twenty times colder than before when he moved his hand to gather your things so the two of you could leave?
“_______?” Numb. You felt numb. But you looked up at him anyway as he stood beside you. Everything felt and looked muffled… As if you were stuck inside a jar full of cotton balls. Looking down, you could see your hands were balled in your lap. “_______, come on. Let’s go home.”
Home? His dorm or yours? You two didn’t even live together - your college didn’t have co-ed dorms, and the two of you didn’t have money for an apartment together.
Regardless, you nodded and slipped from the exam table… You didn’t even feel his hand take yours as you left the doctor office.
Weren’t you happy? You weren’t pregnant… You weren’t bringing in a child into the world when you weren’t ready. You were able to continue with your education without having to worry about an additional mouth to feed…
You were too wrapped in your own head when you got to his dorm. He held the door open for you, walked in with you - but when he turned to follow you into the living room… he saw you’d taken a turn and gone into his room and laid on his bed. Facefirst.
He knocked on the open door, leaning against the doorway as he watched your body slump into his unmade bed, “_______?”
A mumbled reply was all he got in response.
“What’s the matter? You were silent the whole way home… Didn’t even ask to get something to eat….” Which was definitely an odd thing - the two of you bonded over your love of food and eating… He could pack away three entire meals without gaining weight and you…. well, you couldn’t eat that much but you did love eating the worst of the junk food like he did…
It was silent. You didn’t respond and he didn’t push. But he did move closer. Into the room. The dip of the bed to the right of you told you he was at least leaning on the corner of the bed. You could feel his eyes on you, feel his hand hovering over your back. Were you upset with him? Not really… maybe a little… You didn’t know.
But your heart ached inside… And you couldn’t contain yourself.
“It was negative.”
Iwaizumi’s eyebrows furrowed, mustering the courage to rub your back soothingly with his right hand as he sat beside you. “Yeah? That’s a good thing…. “ He frowned, looking down at you with confusion, “Did you want to be pregnant?”
You pouted into the comforter, still face down on the bed, your legs dangling off the edge - if you didn’t move soon enough your knees would hurt when you stood back up. They weren’t supposed to relax in that position. “No….”
Even more confusion. “Then why are you upset about it?” You let out a long sigh, and he felt a flicker of frustration; You were acting like a little kid. “_________, at least look at me when we’re talking.”
A whine escaped you, but you turned to your right side, facing him now, your arms wrapped together under your head. You didn’t meet his eyes, instead finding something interesting about the pattern of the blanket.
“_______.”
He had patience. You had to at least give him credit for that. You loved him for it…
“You sighed…” You muttered quietly, still not meeting his gaze, feeling your cheeks flush with embarrassment at how… vague…. It sounded to you. But he was a smart guy… The shift in his weight on the bed clearly showed he knew what you were talking about.
Iwaizumi rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a bit uncomfortable being put in the spotlight. You’d heard him? Had he been that loud about his relief? “Well… Yeah? You did, too.”
Silence took up the space between you two once more. Uncomfortable, tense, heavy silence… You felt like it was pressing you down into the bed, like your heart was pressed directly into your sternum..
But he didn’t leave you for long.
“We’ve got our whole lives, _______… I just…” Iwaizumi cleared his throat, “It’d been an accident, right? I don’t want our first kid to ever be thought of as an accident-“
That snapped you out of it. ‘our’ first kid? As in… He had plans to have children with you? Children as in more than one?
You looked up from the blanket to see he was blushing deeply and now staring at the nearest wall. His lips had rolled into his mouth - an attempt to cut himself off sooner clearly failing to register to his mouth.
“You….”
His eyes were back on you instantly, seeing the hope in your eyes - seeing you slowly coming back into yourself. “Now, wait a second-“
“You want-“
“Let’s not get craz-“
“Hajime~!” You squeaked out with a wide smile breaking out across your face. You brought your balled hands to your mouth as you muffled your squeal, “You want to have babies with me~?” Giggles were intermittently pouring from you, and the effect they had on your boyfriend wasn’t subtle as his blush only seemed to deepen.
Before he could get a response in, you pushed up from your laying position and wrapped your arms around his neck, bringing him down to lay next to you now. You scooted closer to him, feeling your body warm when his arms wrapped around you - they clasped together and rested on your hip as you pressed your chest against his side.
Still he didn’t look at you. But now you could see his blush reached the tip of his ears, across the bridge of his nose and even seemed to be traveling down his neck. Was he that embarrassed?
You smiled happily up at him, resting your chin on the edge of his shoulder, “How many?” Iwaizumi tossed his head back with a quiet groan, “Do you already have names picked out?” You couldn’t help but tease some more. The tension of the morning easily slipping away now that you knew he wanted you as his baby mama, at the very least. You knew Iwaizumi enough to know, without a shadow of a doubt, he’d marry you if he was already planning on having ‘non accidental’ kids with you.
“Can you go back to being quiet?” He asked, but the smile on his face only had your giddiness exceeding by ten times what it was before.
“Nope!” You popped the ‘p’, laughing when he only groaned once more.
The moment quietly passed, exactly what you’d defied, the mood between the two of you growing more serious as the weight of what he’d said finally settled in the pit of your stomach. You tilted your head and kissed his clothed shoulder, feeling … nervous….
Iwaizumi opened his eyes, staring up at the ceiling of the bedroom, feeling your heart slow against him. He couldn’t believe he’d just told you his intentions…. well.. more like his plan… Marrying you was definitely something he was going to do as soon as the two of you graduated.
“We gotta get married first…” Your eyes focused back on the side of his face, seeing he’d turned his head to look at you directly. “After we graduate.” He added almost immediately, not wanting you to think he’d just steal you away from your education and dreams. “Then when you’re ready… we’ll have a couple gremlins running around in no time..” His smile was soft, and you felt… home.

Hi :) I was wondering if you maybe would write a second part of that Tendou college scenario you did a while back (post/180040401365), cause I really loved it ^_^. Something like them becoming a couple with lots of comfort kisses and cuddles.
LOVE me some lizard boi! And I’m really happy to hear you liked that piece!!!! I’ll link it below so we can all collectively reread it
First Part Here
Tendou Satori:
How completely tired and useless could one feel? You could count the ways… You’d missed out on class today, you hadn’t gone into your school study job, you hadn’t gone to your after class clubs or even left your dorm room to get something fresh to eat.
Nope.
You’d stayed in your bed, for most of the day, watching Netflix and Hulu and Youtube while binging on junk food you had stashed in your room.
For good reason, though! You wanted that to be completely clear to your own self! You hadn’t gone to class today because you had passed all your college exams for the semester - there was no point in going in until the next semester! You hadn’t gone to your study job because the office you helped out in was closed for the end of the semester! Clubs, also, were only simply shutting down for the closing of the semester and the cafe…. well, you didn’t wanna get out of your warm bed!
That last one didn’t really have a good reason, but you weren’t going to beat yourself up about it.
“_______-chan~, you’re in the same position as when I left this morning!”
You scoffed with a smile, “Not true! I had to get up to pee like 20 minutes ago.” Only a split second was allowed for you to open your arms, your phone still playing loudly since you hadn’t paused what you were watching, before your boyfriend was flopping down into your bed with you.
Tendou hummed happily as he laid his head down on your chest, his arms wrapping around your hips while his body rested between your legs. He was a very tall young man, so you knew his legs were more than likely hanging off the end of your bed.
Bringing the phone back into your view, you wrapped your arms around his shoulders, your wrist resting on the side of his head so you could still watch your show. Tendou didn’t seem to mind, tilting his head so your arm was resting on the side of his face now and he could hear your heart beating against his ear. Calm and slow… Comfortable. Tendou closed his eyes as he relaxed in your arms.
Though the mood was a bit off. Something felt wrong. You knew something was different from when he’d left that morning to now…
So you set your phone down after tapping the lock button. Your hands were back on him in the next second, fingers running through his hair, your other hand rubbing up and down his back soothingly.
As the seconds ticked by, he seemed to relax more and more into you and the bed, taking comfort in your body heat and your gentle hands.. You were here for him… You loved him… “You okay, Satori?”
He let out a quiet whine, reaching a hand up to press against your face, “Sssshhhhhh, I’m trying to sleep, ______.” He didn’t want to talk about it - you knew enough from that response hat something had happened for sure. Something had happened or someone had said something….
But you weren’t going to just let it go that easily.
You smiled, but it didn’t reach your eyes.. Almost a whole year together and he still didn’t seem to be okay with telling you everything outright… Still seemed reserved in his feelings and things happening to him.. But you had never been one to push him. This relationship between the two of you went as fast or as slow as he wanted it to - because his being comfortable was just as important to you as yours was to him. “I love you, Satori…” You whispered, knowing he’d only whine about sleeping again if you spoke any louder.
Tendou felt his heart constrict at the feeling in your voice. You really did love him, didn’t you? His arms tightened around you, his eyes closing a little tighter as he held you closer. Why? “Why?” He asked, struggling to keep his voice from sounding as choked up as he felt inside.
Any cheesy response now wouldn’t be taken lightly. He was hurting. His heart ache from school and his own parents and friends… still affecting him now as he grew into his own adult. So you didn’t stoop to that level. He needed you to be serious with him, and honest.
“Because I do.”
Not too serious, though. You knew your boyfriend got really uncomfortable if things became too surreal too fast. Too serious and morose too quickly. More than not… It was hard to find that perfect balance, so he took what you said to heart but didn’t run away from the truth of your words, either.
His red eyebrows furrowed, and he peeked an eye open to look at you; why did you like seeing the black of his pupil contract inside the red of his iris? The contrast, you were sure. He pursed his lips as he peered up at you, “Not any particular reason?” You only smiled softly, “Not cause I can get things off the top shelves or because I get you all the staring attention you could ever want?”
You shook your head, “Nope. None of those reasons.”
Now he pouted, not daring to look away from you, though. You were his hope and light in this world.. And now, after what’d happened before he’d come back to you, he needed to bathe in your warmth. “Then why?” He really did want to know… or rather, the darkness that would replace your light, when you eventually left him, wanted to know… So it could weaponize your words against his own heart and against his own head.
“Because we’re two halves of a whole-“
“Idiot?”
“Soul….” You laughed quietly at his interruption, “You’re definitely not an idiot, Satori.. You have better grades than I do!”
Tendou shrugged, “Guess you’re more ¾ths of an idiot then, huh?” He laughed when you tugged on his hair, tilting his head a bit more so both his eyes were trained on you… But not tilted enough to pull away from your comfort giving chest. “You believe in soul mates….?” He’d meant it as a statement because he knew you did… The two of you had talked about it before..
That was the one of the best things about your relationship, he thought. Being able to talk about something as romantically serious as soul mates when the two of you were just beginning to talk. Or what the meaning of life was or what happens after death even though the two of you hadn’t even hit the peaks of your prime!
“I believe in you…” You edited, running both your hands through his hair now, letting one rest on the side of his head while the other stroked down his back, fingers pressing into his shoulder blades and muscles on either side of his spine. He felt more relaxed now. You were thankful you were able to get his mind off of whatever had happened.
Though he didn’t look too impressed with your answer, but you didn’t give him the chance to rebut your belief.
You leaned down and pressed your lips to his. It was an awkward position for you, since you kind of had to do a ‘sit up’ and use muscles you didn’t normally use, but you’d walk through hell for this boy.
He practically chirruped against your lips, and you could feel his body heat from the sudden kiss. Tendou sure did love surprise affection - but his body only seemed to be embarrassed by the actions. And when you pulled away, you could see the blush on his face was as violently eccentric as his hair, and his eyes seemed to have this dreamy glaze over them as he stared up at you.
What had he done right in a past life to deserve someone as beautiful, as gentle, as loving and affectionate as you? And how could he convince you to stay with him for the rest of your lives?
Lovestruck. That’s the only way you could describe his expression. “Let’s get hitched, ________-chan~.” He suddenly sighed out happily, arms constricting around your middle to hold you ever closer. While this would usually leave you breathless, you couldn’t help but laugh quietly at how his heart had immediately gone to that topic.
“We will.. After college.” You booped his nose before bringing up your phone to rest on his head again, “For now though, I wanna hear you do your best Dwight from The Office quote for quote impressions.”
“You’re watching the office again? What episode? Without me? How dare!”
A/N: Not gonna lie… I legit almost started crying bc of how much I absolutely adore Tendou… My sweet boy needs more love TT~TT

Semi Eita: 7 Minutes in Heaven
It’d probably been a mistake to trust anyone on this team. Honestly, you could probably only trust Ushijima… in half the cases presented. As he’d gotten older, he’d gotten more comfortable… and with Tendou as his best friend.. You should have known he’d get the mischievous bug sooner or later!
So yes. It’d been a mistake.
And now here you were in the closet. Alone. In the dark. Waiting for something to happen because as soon as you’d walked into the apartment, Tendou had shuffled you over to the coat closet. You’d locked eyes with Ushijima, had called for help from him… only to be surprised when he’d looked away from you as if you didn’t exist!
You’d given up banging on the door. There was no point when you could clearly hear Yamagata guarding the closet door from Reon’s curious eyes.
Not even Semi was there to save you… not that you were sure he would. He’d been very hot and cold towards you recently - you couldn’t get a clear read on what was going through his head most of the time! But more recently, he’d been very confusing on if he wanted you anywhere near him or not.
This darkness wasn’t good for these types of thoughts. It seemed to weight heavily on you as you thought more and more about your crush. He’d been avoiding you… Or trying to. But you’d been so persistent, going to every practice and game just to see him… walking down the hall with him and Tendou or him and Ushijima just to be near him a little longer.
Why? He wasn’t exactly all that excited about anything, it seemed. Always frowning or angrily pouting… His brown eyes always seemed distant, like he wasn’t focusing on the present. How you wished to kiss his furrowed eyebrows smooth once more and ask him what was on his mind… You wanted to be near him, you wanted him to trust you…
You jumped to your feet at the sound of the door rattling, a sign it was about to open. Now was your chance! You had to get out of the darkness otherwise you’d get swallowed up in your own head!
Light! You rushed towards it, “Let me out of here!” You yelled….
“Wait! What the hell?!”
You collided with a hard body and were pushed into the darkness once more as the doors closed behind them. Frozen in place, you could feel their chest rising and falling with their breath, their hands a whispers length away from resting on your waist. To pull you close or push you away?
Pushing you away, Semi felt his face warm with embarrassment, “Trapped you in here, too, huh?” He grumbled, forcing his mind away from the hot tingle in his hands from touching you. Why were you here? Had this all been planned? Were you in on it? “Couldn’t creep on me enough at school, so you decided to ambush me?” He was joking, of course… but you hadn’t been on the receiving end of his kindness and friendship in what felt like forever.
So you curled in on yourself as you slid down the back wall, pulling your knees to your chest and resting your chin on top. “Sorry…” Barely above a whisper, Semi frowned as he turned his head in the direction of your voice. It was dark in the small space, but he’d always had good hearing. Were you curled on the floor? He didn’t push you that hard, did he?
“You okay?”
Were you? You hugged your knees tighter as you nodded, “Yeah.. I’m fine….” You whispered, feeling him move around in the closet in front of you. What was he doing? Hard knees tapped the tips of your shoes, followed by a quick apology for not knowing where you were exactly. He was kneeling in front of you. “I know you would rather be anywhere else but here… Sorry they trapped you.” That had to be it right? They’d tricked him in here? Maybe even kidnapped him from his studies to come to this silly party?
Semi’s frown deepened, but his cheeks grew warmer.. He’d rather be here with you more than anything in the world. “Th-that’s not… true.” He started off, feeling his embarrassment surge forward at the admission, “I’m just not used to….” He sighed, almost harshly, and you could feel his breath fan over your legs. “Why is it so hard to talk to you?” He suddenly asked, his voice harsh as if he were accusing you.
“Wha…. What?” You blinked rapidly, begging the limited light to help you see him properly! This wasn’t the kind of statement you’d want to be partially blind for! “What do you mean?” You asked, feeling offense take place in your heart; You hadn’t done anything at all to make this entire experience hard for him! You were being you! Albeit, a bit sad and longing, but you all the same!
The breath he let out was rushed, and heated, “It’s always like this!” He continued, his voice picking up speed and aggression. He was frustrated. Not with you or with the situation… but at himself, because he knew it was his own fault he didn’t know how to communicate properly. “It’s so goddamn hard to talk to you and I don’t know why! I can’t even look at you without….” He sighed heavily.
He wasn’t done fighting, just expressing his confusion and frustration with his inability to say how he felt.
You were curious. Was it a good feeling? Did he like how it felt when he was near you? What did he feel? Slowly, with sloth like pace, you moved to kneel in front of him, leaning a bit forward with your hands on your knees to be able to sense where he was in the darkness.
Breath on your face, you were so close to him.. Did he sense you?
“I don’t know what I’m doing wrong…” He muttered, and you felt for him. You really did. “I don’t want you to think I hate you….”
A smile slowly curled your lips at his additional admission. Was he… confessing to you? Is this all he had needed? Alone time with you in a dark enclosed space? You leaned closer, tilting your head just the slightest to avoid stealing a kiss.
Not yet.
“Please… Just say something.” His breath fanned across your face, and you could all but taste him.
What did he want you to say? You loved him.. You’d been dying for a chance to get this close to him for so long… If the Hanahaki disease was real, you’d probably have died a long time ago?
But you didn’t say any of that. Instead, you reached out your hand and rested it over his chest, feeling his heart beating quickly against his ribcage. “Eita….” You whispered, knowing he could feel your breath waft over him. Did he like you being this close? His heart was racing against your hand… and you took that as an affirmative. “I know you don’t hate me…”
Well, you knew now. If asked prior to being stuck in the closet, you wouldn’t have known if it was true or not. But he seemed earnest. And embarrassed by how warm he felt over his clothes.
That wasn’t good enough, though. He didn’t just not hate you… He loved you. Semi wanted you to know that, too. Know that in your heart.
So he swallowed his fear, and his pride…. And jumped.
Lips against yours, you inhaled sharply in your surprise. Was that a good sign, he wondered? Did you like him kissing you? By the way you leaned forward, deepening the kiss, he found his answer. And smiled against your lips.

Hugs and kissies xoxoxox - Admin Satori
Kuroo Tetsurou:
It was really nice of the team’s coach, and sponsor, to have an extra room for you to stay in. You and the other managers of their team, that is. Usually, in these situations, anyone not on the team would have to find their own hotels to stay in… And more than likely, the one the team stayed in was always booked! But this year, finally, they’d thought ahead and considerately had booked an extra room for the female managers to join in the activities.
They were your team, too, after all. It was only fair you be near them during their training camps.
You remembered your boyfriend, Kuroo, had been adamant about sneaking you into his room - even though he’d be sharing it with his best friend, Bokuto. He even went so far as to try to get you to start yoga so you were ‘flexible enough to fit in the suit case’. Honestly, you were sure he’d just been trying to get you flexible for… other activities.
“You doing okay? You’re all red.”
A squeak of surprise escaped you, and you slapped your hands to your cheeks to cover the blush that had formed. You’d gone too far down the rabbit hole of memories of the bedroom with your boyfriend…. And actually forgot where you were! Kaori smirked knowingly, “I-I’m fine!” You stammered out, quickly looking away when she only continued to smirk. “S-shut up and serve the damn ball!”
It’d been a boring night in. The boys, coaches and sponsors included, had went out to dinner to celebrate a good training session. Both Kuroo and Bokuto had invited you… but you’d decided it’d be frowned upon since the coach hadn’t invited you… so you’d stayed with the other female managers.
Which prompted a fun game between the 4 of you. So many managers for a single team, but it made sense when taking into account the different school schedules and whatnot. You could only work every other day for the team, while Kaori could only do weekends and extended trips, Kiyoko only worked weekdays, and Yukie could work every day…. But it took more than one manager to handle this… rambunctious team.
You and Kuroo were nearing your last semesters at Tokyo University! Almost done with your degree, and he with his! Everyday spent on the team now was humbling.. Because you knew the future contained bigger and better things for you and your love.
“Got it!” You called out, rushing forward and bumping the ball into the air, high enough for Kaori to tip it over the net. She landed with a happy cheer as the ball bounced just before Yukie could get to it. “Nice one!” You smiled widely, moving to get back into ‘position’ on your part of the halved court. The game continued, your side scoring, their side scoring… Neck and neck before a quick water break was called for.
Standing by the bench, you happily sipped from your bottle of water, listening to Kaori talk about how she’d have to slave away at homework when the four of you returned to the room. You were about to respond to her, offer to help her study if she needed it, when you felt a sharp pinch on the back of your thigh.
Reflexively, you went to kick at whoever had touched you so inappropriately! It couldn’t have been one of the girls, they’d never be so invasive, so it’d have to have been some kind of stranger who wandered into the gym!
Your foot got caught though, their hand holding it tight and forcing you to balance on your foot. You turned to curse at them, tell them to let you go, verbally defend yourself…. When you suddenly realized why Kaori hadn’t jumped to help.
“Oho~ So quick to fight…. Feisty.” His lazy smirk curled his lips, and had you letting out a heavy sigh of playful irritation, “I couldn’t help myself, ______, you just looked ripe for pinching…. A little goose didn’t hurt you, did it?” You knew he wasn’t really asking. He’d pinched you much harder in a different situation.
“I thought you were at dinner.” You tugged at your foot in his hand, but his grip held fast. You weren’t going anywhere any time soon. “Tetsu…” You warned, feeling your heart pick up the pace when his other hand rested on your calve, slowly moving upwards and stroking the smooth, freshly shaven, skin of your thigh. Goosebumps threatened to show themselves at his gentle touch.
“Ah, we left early. It was kinda boring.” Bokuto called from the bench behind you. He’d been talking to Kaori while you and Kuroo had your little showdown, “Daichi didn’t like that very much….”
Kuroo hummed in agreement, fingers pressing into the side of your thigh, a light grip. You tugged at your trapped foot once more, making his smirk twitch in amusement. “Ah well, I don’t think Daichi likes a lot of things…. Like when I take my timeouts to just come appreciate my girlfriend.” Your lips screwed to one side, struggling to hide your anticipatory smile at his words, his actions… He liked what he saw, and what he felt. “Ooooor when I leave from the room to sneak into-“
You kicked your leg roughly, stopping him from continuing since your foot landed square on his sternum and forced him to fall backwards. He stared up at you with surprised shock, he hadn’t thought he’d given you enough room to be able to kick him down. Your stern look had him laughing quietly, “Get rekt, Tetsurou.” Bokuto laughed, this time from across the gym - he hadn’t waited for Kuroo to finish what he’d been saying about Daichi, and instead had taken your place in the game with the managers.
“You’re impossible.” You muttered with a fond smile, offering your hand down for him to take, so you could help him up and dust him off. His hand found yours, long fingers wrapping around your hand in a tight, but gentle, grip. You went to help him to his feet only to find you were quickly being pulled down. You stumbled, “Tetsu!” He laughed as you landed on him on the ground, his arms wrapped around you tightly so you couldn’t escape as quickly as you wanted to. “The floor is so dirty, what the hell.” You whined loudly, like a child, moving so your hands were pressed against his chest so you could push off of him. But he held you tighter, your hands now trapped between yours and his chest.
Face to face now, you pursed your lips in playful irritation, “Come here often?” He smirked up at you, “You know, I’m actually staying in a hotel nearby… Nice place… Good mattress… Roomy showers…. Not to mention… Your shorts do feel a bit… short and tight.” His voice trailed off, and you let out a heavy sigh before resting your forehead on his chest with your eyes closed, knowing he wasn’t finished yet. “You and I could… Ya know….”
You lifted your head, raising an eyebrow at him, “Could eat in the lobby as a mismatched couple?”
Kuroo’s smirk broke into a joyful smile before he was tilting his head and pressing a kiss between your eyebrows, “You read my mind, kitten.”
Sawamura Daichi:
Why did you feel the prickle of nerves in your stomach? It’s not like you were doing anything wrong… You were playing a game of volleyball with your fellow managers! Nothing bad there!
Yet you felt… Cheeky as you jumped around, spiking the ball or tipping it over the edge. You couldn’t wipe the smirk from your face and had to continuously assure your fellow managers that you weren’t trying to bait them into a competitive game.
You were just feeling good today!
Or at least this evening.
You’d treated yourself to a good meal earlier, you’d taken your time in the shower, you’d relaxed for a good hour or two before deciding you wanted to be active! It was when you’d found only your… short shorts…. That you’d realized you hadn’t really packed anything to be active!
But what was the harm in wearing the short shorts? You leaned down, hands on your knees, crouching as you watched the three on the other side of the net tossing the ball between each other. They were planning something, and you were watching intently.
Being a senior in college, it gave you the ability to sense bs from the younger student. You were able to see what they were planning just by their sidelong glances. A long play? Or a tip over the net?
Then they were moving, quickly. And you had to jump backwards to try to keep up with them as the ball was tossed high, one of them jumping higher than they ever had and hitting the ball from its underside. Making it go flying across the court.
But you were feeling competitive! You were feeling like you were a hot shot in a real game, and you weren’t about to let this ball touch the ground!
You never made it to the ball in time. In fact, you’d been interrupted in your run to the ball. Strong arms had wrapped around your middle and held you back just as you were about to go sliding across the floor to save the ball. But instead, you were halted, and forced to watch as the ball bounced against the polished gym floor before it rolled to rest against the wall.
“I don’t think that’s such a good idea, _______.”
Deflated. That’s how you felt. Deflated and ashamed…. Only to quickly feel irritation in your chest blooming furiously as you pushed out of his arms, “What the hell, Daichi! I had that!” You wanted him to know just how excited you’d been, how in your own mood you’d been, and how rude he was to have robbed that moment from you. “I was gonna save the ball! What? Just because you aren’t playing, I can’t play either?”
His brown eyes hardened, warning you of being so rude to him. He’d saved you. Completely. _______, there’s no need to be mean.” His voice was calm, and you felt irritated he’d pull on his ‘dad’ pants to talk to you. As if you were some tantrum throwing child. “You don’t have kneepads on.”
Well, duh.. You knew that. All the actual supplies were locked up because the coaches didn’t want anyone getting into them while they weren’t here. You didn’t have any kneepads or elbow pads, but then he only wore his kneepads for official matches! You couldn’t count how many times you’d had to play nurse for him because he’d be too in his own head to realize he wasn’t wearing kneepads.
This time he raised an eyebrow at your dumbfounded expression, he could read the ‘duh’ on your face and found it kind of…. funny. He chuckled, the initial insult he’d taken from your reflexed attack passing as he realized you’d quite literally followed in his steps.
“______…. Look down…” You rolled your eyes before looking down at your shoes. They looked scuffed, you’d have to buy new ones soon… “What don’t you see?”
“Look, Dai, I don’t have time for this. I was playing a game!” You huffed, clearly irritated with his parenting your every move. You were his girlfriend! Not his child!
Daichi smiled patiently, “No, no. Wait a second.” His arms tightened around your middle as you struggled to leave his hold. He’d feel horrible if you continued to think you were a pro and hurt yourself because he couldn’t get you to see exactly what was wrong with what you’d been about to do. “What happens when I slide without my kneepads? You get mad at me for doing that, right?”
You let out a loud sigh, “Yes, you get so in your head about what you need to do, you forget to take care of yourself first! What about it? Did you skin your knee again during practice today?” You rested your hands on his crossed forearms under your ribcage, figuring you’re going to be trapped in his arms for the long haul if he was just bringing up constant nurse memories.
He laughed. He laughed a short, bark of a laugh at your question, “Well yes, I forgot that today… But that’s not the point.” He quickly covered, clearing his throat to cover the clear embarrassment at his admittance. He’d tried to take care of his skinned knees on his own, but your nursing methods sure did feel better when you were the one helping him. “_______, are you wearing kneepads?”
“No? The supply closet is locked up! How in the hell would I have kneepads?”
“And what were you about to do?”
Another loud sigh, another rolling of your eyes, “Save the ball! Duh- Oh.. Wait…” The realization slapped you across the face.
He’d actually saved you.
You looked down at your legs once more to see, indeed, you weren’t wearing any kneepads. Not even one. Then you looked at the polished floor of the gym - the wooden tiles still presenting the danger of irritatingly rubbed skin…. You would have definitely been hurting afterwards if you’d been allowed to save the ball. It’d been too low for you to just bump it while standing… and you’d wanted to look cool… so you would have.. definitely…..
Covering your face in your hands, you let out a low whine of embarrassment, of shame. He’d saved you and you’d gotten mad. “Dai….”
Daichi lowered you easily, you were thinking sensibly again, but he didn’t say anything. Just letting you marinate in your shame for how you’d reacted to him.
“Dai…..” You tried again, your voice wobbling the longer you sat in your own guilt. Stomaching your nerves, you turned so you could face him…. But you didn’t lift your head to meet his gaze.
You wondered if he’d be mad? Or maybe he’d just leave you? What if he did? Your heart dropped to your stomach. No way… he wouldn’t leave you over something like this, would he? You’d never gotten angry with him before! Playful arguments here and there, sometimes he’d be irritated from the trials of the day and bring it home with him…. And you’d do the same some days… But arguing? Never! You’d never gotten angry with him…
The sound of rustling clothing brought you out of your downward spiral, and you looked at your very thoughtful boyfriend to see he was stepping out of his track pants. Thankfully, he was wearing his practice shorts underneath, but still… The front row view of his undressing had your cheeks flaring with embarrassment. “W-Wha-What are you doing? Stop!” You reached forward, trying to grab the hem of his pants to pull them back up for him but you were too late. He’d taken them off.
And now presented them to you.
“Wha….?”
“There’s a drawstring in the front, and on each ankle…” He showcased the drawstrings tucked in their little pockets, “If you tighten this around you, and make sure it fits,” He gave you a pointed stare, making you look away almost immediately, “Then you can get back in the game and save all the plays you can…”
You bit your bottom lip… Not feeling like you should take his offer.. You wanted to just spend the rest of your evening with him in the hotel, maybe go swimming in the hotel pool or go out on the town with him…. But he was still offering the pants to you.
“Thank you…” You mumbled, taking the pants from his hand and pulling them on. Doing as he’d said and tightening the drawstring around your waist, letting out a yelp of surprise when you felt his hands on your right leg - one cupping your calve while the other easily tightened the drawstring by your ankle.
“Also…” He looked up from where he crouched before you, both of his hands on the outside of your thighs now, just below where your shorts ended beyond his track pants now. His fingers curled around your thighs, gripping them lightly and making you shiver with your blush making another violent appearance on your face, “This way, I can keep all this beautiful skin of yours safe from anyone else’s eyes.” Daichi winked up at you, his lips curling into a playful smile.
Sugawara Koushi:
You hadn’t realized how kind of boring these training camps were… Obviously, they weren’t focused on the managers, of which you were, so they weren’t directed towards your likes. But your boyfriend, Suga, seemed to be having as much fun as he always did with his friends!
And you guessed that’s where you could be placated. If he was having fun and enjoying the company around him… then you could happily go on about your boring day…
Only now he wasn’t around, and you were bored. So very bored. The hotel was nice, the pool was cool…. But you felt like being active! You wanted to go out there and jump around!
That’s where the idea of a fun game of volleyball came from. Your boredom talking for you. And thankfully, the other managers were on the same level of antsy pants to join your offered game!
“Ohhh~ Where did you get those? They’re so cute!”
You looked down at your shorts, smiling proudly as you responded, “The shop by the university gym! It’s got so many colors and the material is super stretchy, too.” You demonstrated by pulling at the hem of the thigh, showing how it molded around your added fingers or stretched accordingly as you pulled it away from you.
That’s all that had been mentioned of your shorts, and yet you felt high and alert from the attention it’d gotten you! Confident! You felt confident in your movement and your body as you played volleyball with your friends!
In high school, you’d been on the volleyball team! That’s how you’d met Suga. The two teams, boys and girls, had met up for a practice match - co-ed - and you’d been graced with Suga as your teams setter since yours was out sick that day. First year you had been…. Floored by his appearance, and flustered by how sweet he was. You didn’t know if you’d fallen for him that day or the years following as the two of you grew closer as friends before eventually becoming an item.
From that first day, you’d always tried to practice with him and his team - to be closer to him more than anything.. but also because the boys team held so much more competitiveness with each other! Especially during your third year when the dynamic duo first years would pop off every moment they saw each other!
There was no competitiveness here, though, just a fun filled game of tossing the ball back and forth - whoever dropped it first owed the others a pork bun.. Nothing serious since the city you were all in for the summer camp had particularly inexpensive snacks! You were in the lead, though! But the girls didn’t want to have to keep track of how many they owed you, so instead they’d just give you the amount owed.
So many pork buns. Your stomach rumbled in anticipation!
The ball suddenly went flying over your head, “I’ll get it!” You called, trotting casually after the ball as it bounced by the gym entrance.
“__-_____?”
You suddenly stood straight from your bending position, the ball held tightly in your hands, feeling a gasp scraping against your throat at it’s sudden appearance. “K-Koushi?” You let out a heavy breath, resting a hand on your heart to show he’d startled you, “Don’t do that! My heart can’t take the surprises of an angel!”
Suga’s smile was soft, but there was a curiosity to his gaze. He stood on the gym steps, having heard the calling of voices from within and picking yours out from the crowd. His hand on the rail, one foot on the step in front of him, you’d surprised him as much as he’d surprised you. “An angel, huh?” He chuckled quietly, “Practice match?” He asked, glancing behind you to see the girls hadn’t actually waited for you upon seeing Suga taking up your attention.
Raising the ball in your hand, you smiled, “Yup. Got bored in the hotel… “ You smiled sheepishly, not wanting him to think you regretted coming on this training trip with him. It had been optional… But you’d taken it thinking you’d have more time with your boyfriend in a paid for room… when really, you only saw him during practice. “How was dinner?” You asked, not wanting an award lull to take its place between you two.
Another smile, though this one held a bit of secret to it, “Got bored.” He copied your response, and you let out a huff of a laugh, fingers delving into the grooves of the ball - why did it feel like you were nervous around him? Were you still feeling the same schoolgirl crush flutters around the young man you’d been dating for 2 years now?
Didn’t that mean the love was still strong between you? And he seemed to be enjoying your little chat… Was he feeling the same fluttering?
You glanced behind you, seeing the girls had continued playing, having found another ball in the opened closet.. You tossed the ball in their general direction before stepping out onto the top step of the stairs, just one above where he’d been about to go. His brown eyes watched you closely, and while his expression remained sweet and tender, you knew his eyes were taking in every single aspect of your movements. Like a hawk watching its prey.
“So you came by to…. Play a game?” The slight tilt of your head didn’t go unnoticed by him; Were you playing the same game he was? Or were you just feigning innocent? Or maybe you actually hadn’t realized the game he’d started up with you the moment he’d seen you pick up the ball?
Suga smiled still, gentle and easy, no sign of mischievousness at all, “Play a game…” He echoed, a slight hum to his voice. “Maybe.” The softness of his voice had you on edge, but you continued to push, stepping closer to the ledge of the step, within arms reach of him now.
He took the offer almost immediately, his hand reaching out, fingers outstretched and making contact with the smooth material of your shorts. “What game exactly, Koushi?” You knew he loved when you called his name, even in the most casual sense… It made him feel loved and like he belonged. Like he was needed and wanted. And he was.
Fingers found their way under the thigh of your shorts, pulling the material.. his eyes on the stretch of it. “This is really high quality material…” He noted, mostly to himself, and you smiled proudly as he let the fabric snap back into place. It wasn’t plastic elastic so it didn’t sting in the least.
“Koushi…” You called his attention, feeling a thrill shoot through you when his eyes looked up at you from under his lashes. He was still a step below you, and you bit the inside of your cheek at how…. Smoldering he could be even from this angle. A true master at his appearance’s influence on you, he smiled softly when you raised your eyebrows at him; he hadn’t answered your question.
“I did say maybe, ______.” He pointed out easily, the gentle amusement in his voice only being prompted by the playful roll of your eyes.
Humming in thought, you felt the rumble of your stomach interrupt your interpretation of his words and actions, “Well!” You started with a bright smile, hopping down the steps quickly before standing at the base of them - two below him now. You put your hands on your hips with a proud smile on your face, “I haven’t eaten dinner and I’m starving!” You pulled the collar of your shirt back, seeing the gathered money in your sports bra. Great shorts… still no pockets. “AND,” You added with extra emphasis, “I was owed pork buns for all my won games, so I’m going to go feed myself….”
You’d started walking away before he could get a word in, his eyes watching your enthusiastic display of pride. He simply turned towards you as you walked a couple feet away from him, about to call out to you before you looked over your shoulder at him.
“Koushi, are you coming?”
His smile was breathtaking, and he nodded quickly before hopping to the base of the stairs and quickly catching up to you. Suga immediately took your hand in his, lacing your fingers with his own and bringing your hand up to his lips to press a kiss to the back of your hand. Smooth and swift, you could only smile brightly in response.
What he asked next though, had you stopping in your tracks with a confused expression adorning your face.
“Those don’t chafe, do they?” He stopped beside you, your joined hands moving so he could tug at the stretchy material once more.
You cleared your throat with pursed lips, trying to think back to the tags on the shorts and if they’d warned anything about chafing or the like. In fact, you didn’t even know what kind of wash cycle they required… “Uh…. I don’t think so?…..” You looked down at your legs, moving them to spread a bit apart under you, not seeing any kind of irritation from your vantage point before looking back up at Suga with even more confusion, “Wait… Why?”
A smirk. A beautifully innocent smirk curled his lips as he leaned down and whispered, “Just wondering if I’ll be giving more kisses down there tonight to take away the pain.”

Azumane Asahi:
Kazuki (One Hope) - Son (9 years old)
He was late. He was going to miss this amazing performance of your sons and not only would he regret it and feel guilty, but you knew it would warrant weeks and weeks worth of apologies from his end.
Which is definitely not something you wanted to handle. You loved your husband, but his guilty spirals tended to be more over the top than reasonable.
But you’d already sent him messages after messages asking where he was, warning him that your son, Kazuki, would be taking his turn any moment now! Asahi hadn’t responded to any of them. After about 5pm, he’d dropped all contact with his phone. You assumed because he was driving like a madman…. well, not a madman. Any reckless driving gave him major anxiety… he was probably driving as fast as he could to get here.
‘As fast as he could’… usually meant 5-10 under the speed limit… You let out a heavy sigh as you shook your dangling ankle, your crossed legs only getting more and more tense with every second that he wasn’t sitting beside you. Your hands were both clammy and cold - balled up in fists around your phone, waiting to hear back from him or take action in what he needed you to do to get him here faster.
Not that there was anything you could do…
The large red curtains on the stage slowly fluttered, someone was peeking through. You knew it was Kazuki. He was looking for you, or his dad… Anyone out there to know he shouldn’t be as scared and anxious as he was feeling inside.
Your heart tightened in your chest because you knew he would only see you there for him. In the crowd, giving him as much support as he wanted… but his father?
Kazuki let the curtains close slowly, still holding onto the heavy material with a downcast look on his rounded features. A pout on his lips, he struggled to keep his anxiety within his being - struggled to keep his scared tears at bay. ‘mama’s here… mama’s right there…. But where’s daddy?’ He gripped the curtain tightly before roughly pushing it away and walking over to where his teacher was giving instruction to his peers.
It was career day. Kazuki looked up to his father so much… He’d swallowed his fear of being publicly displayed and volunteered for a performance to demonstrate with his friends what his father did for a living.
A real life sports celebrity. A national volleyball player! Every time Kazuki saw his father, there were stars in his eyes, and he felt pride in his little chest at how amazing his dad is!
So where was he now? Wasn’t his dad proud of him? For all his efforts in school and trying to be more outgoing?
“What’s the matter, Azumane-kun?” His instructor asked, seeing the young boys disappointed expression, “You’re our next performer, aren’t you excited?” She smiled encouragingly, kneeling down just the slightest to be able to talk to him on his level. He didn’t meet her eyes, feeling his heart heavy with sadness - the person he wanted to impress wasn’t here. “Could your parents make it tonight?”
Kazuki swallowed his disappointment, feeling the ache of his heart at the action - he’d be okay. He knew he’d be okay. You were out in the crowd for him. He’d see you. “Yes!” He responded quickly before the instructor could prod some more. “They’re here!” He didn’t want to be embarrassed, he didn’t want to admit his father hadn’t shown.
That would only make him a target for any bullies listening in. How his father didn’t care for him or would so easily abandon him for a silly sport… But Kazuki knew it wasn’t true. His father loved him very much. He told him every night before bed!
So why wasn’t he here?
Maybe he was running late? Maybe he’d gotten taken up by his practice game? Maybe uncle Daichi and uncle Suga had taken his father out to dinner, and had forgotten about his performance?
The instructor dropped the subject, sensing Kazuki didn’t want to talk about it anymore. Instead, she went forward with ‘rehearsing’ with his friends who would help him in his demonstration.
He wandered a bit off to the side, towards the side of the stage, looking out at where he’d be playing a fake game of Volleyball with his friends. He was dressed the part! A smaller version of his dad’s high school uniform… Because Kazuki had decided he’d be going to Karasuno for high school… because he wanted to be just like his dad.
The ball in his hands felt heavy. Just like his dad? Would he join the national team, too? Would he forget about his family? Get caught up in other things to do and forget important dates? Kazuki squeezed the ball tightly, his little face scrunched in concentration, struggling to figure out what he was going to do…. If he turned out just like his father.
“K-Kazuki….”
Conflicted brown eyes met apologetic matching ones, the ball was dropped, and Kazuki was running into his father’s open arms. He buried his face in his father’s shoulder, hugging him tightly, struggling harder now to keep his tears at bay.
He made it. His dad had made it. Just in time.
Asahi felt his heart ache at how immediately Kazuki had run to him. Had he really caused that much worry? His hand rubbed Kazuki’s back soothingly, “H-hey buddy…. You okay?” He turned his head and kissed his son’s ear, remembering where they were and not to embarrass his son in front of his little friends. But Kazuki didn’t seem to care, only hugging his father tighter, “I’m here, Kazuki.” Asahi assured.
Relief flooded through Kazuki, and he pulled back with a watery smile, wiping at his tear filled eyes, “Don’t scare me like that, daddy.”
A blush dusted Asahi’s cheeks, a flash of guilt crossing his face before he smiled almost innocently, “No promises on the scares.” He cleared his throat, reaching out and wiping a tear from his son’s cheek, “But I promise not to miss a single thing you do.” Kazuki’s smile widened, and Asahi’s heart swelled in his chest.
The instructor called for everyone to take their places, and Kazuki felt a rush of confidence and excitement overwhelm his being, nodding once in confirmation to himself before he hugged his father once more, “Mama’s gonna be mad at you.” He laughed playfully before releasing his father and going to the stage.
Yeah, you would. Very upset. Maybe not angry, but definitely upset.
But he’d deal with that little bit of anxiety to see that smile stay on his son’s face. To see that light pouring all around his boy.
Curtains opening, you cheered for your son, smiling widely when he immediately blushed violently. You had your phone ready, recording every second of the performance. Kazuki portrayed his father in the play, the scene being the very last couple of plays before Asahi’s high school team had won their first nationals since their lull in activity.
Asahi didn’t leave from the side of the stage, pride rooting him in place.
Kazuki jumped as high as he could, the ball now at the end of a pole to keep its trajectory under control, and pretended to hit the ‘set’ ball.
You stared in shock… He’d jumped far higher than you thought he was physically able to.. so far the ball had been too low at first, the props master holding the pole having to surge the ball higher to make the spike at least a bit more believable.
When he landed, Kazuki turned to the crowd and bowed deeply, yelling out with a wide smile, “My name is Azumane Kazuki, and I want to play for the National Volleyball team just like my dad, Azumane Asahi!”

Sugawara Koushi:
When had this happened? Where had the time gone?
Growing up, Sugawara had been a happy kid. Quiet and polite, and happy. Primary school was a breeze, and he made many friends. Even reaching out to the transfer student from the other side of the country. You’d been a shy child. Even his gentle voice had startled you!
“I’m Koushi!” He’d smiled widely, his hand reaching out to shake yours. You remember thinking he was a very pretty girl, at first. A girl with short hair and a boys name.
Maybe that’s why you’d been so eager to be friends with him in the first place, because you’d misgendered him? Regardless, the two of you became fast friends. He was always by your side, and would always pick you for paired projects or games!
You clearly remember going over to his house, with your mother holding your hand as you both approached his family home, and being so giddy with excitement to see your friend outside of school! It was as if the two of you were mirroring the other because as soon as the front door open, you could see him practically jittering with excitement to see you.
Foggy memories of childhood. But happy ones. Hand holding, tight warm hugs and secrets passing between the two of you. He was your bestest friend. And you were his!
The point in which childhood blended into your teen years seemed to be lost to you. But one clear memory of the absolute awkward tension you felt one day when giving him a hug seemed to jut out amongst millions of happy smiling memories. It’d been awkward because…. Well.. You’d developed. The hug pressed your chest to his, and he could feel the difference clear as day.
Embarrassment. So much embarrassment. Mortified that you’d changed so much to put a spin on your friendship with him, you absolutely refused to give him any hugs after that day.
Suga wasn’t exactly happy about it, and he could remember being a bit more pouty than was necessary… But he let you decide what you were comfortable with. Because all his life, Suga was never one to use peer pressure or guilt trips, he’d never force someone to do something they were uncomfortable with. That just wasn’t something he thought was right to do, especially to someone he cared about!
Puberty hit the both of you like trucks though, and as soon as the awkward growths and developing bodies seemed to stabilize… You and Suga were back to being best friends with almost no boundaries.
There were a few. Obviously. The two of you were as close as can be, but even twins have limits with each other. A primary rule you’d set with him is you absolutely did not want to spend the night over at his house or he at your house…. There was just too much awkwardness you felt would be there in the morning if he or you stayed with the other. Your bedhead? In front of his eyes that never seemed to miss any detail?
But when had you started caring about how you looked in front of him? Child you had worn multiple layers of silly clothing and pranced around his house while his mother babysat you, and yet now you were worried about what he might say if he saw your morning drool or bedhead?
Why?
Because at some point during your awkward teenage years…. You’d started to crush hard on him. He was so sweet. So gentle. Smart and kind. Your very best friend and someone you could trust with absolutely everything…. You loved him. Dearly and truly, you loved Suga for just being who he was.
High school brought no difference. Not between you and Suga, anyway. His pretty face did catch the attention of so many other girls, though, and you could clearly remember the countless nights filled with anxiety and despair at the thought of his liking one of them.
But he never went out on a date with any of them. He was so polite in turning them down. “Why don’t you take Aika out? She’s been hanging on your arm since last semester.” You remember asking, mostly because the two of you had been left alone long enough for an awkward silence to build. You were so caught up in your silent simmering jealousy… and Suga… Suga was caught up in how calculated and elegant your movements were as you worked on the classwork before you.
Suga shrugged easily, glancing up at you briefly before going back to his own homework, sketching in his answer for the problem, “She’s not my type.” Simple answer. You couldn’t accept it though since she was the prettiest girl in the school! Suga being the most handsome, cutest boy… You figured they’d pair off to make beautiful babies after graduation.
And yet all throughout High school… Suga stayed single. Daichi gathered the courage to date Yui and Asahi had stolen the heart of a foreign exchange student in his senior class…. But Suga absolutely refused to look at anyone in a romantic way.
Usually graduation brought tears to your eyes…. But you were graduating with your friends! None of them had any plans to go to college far away… In fact, even though Asahi wasn’t going to college, he was still moving to Tokyo to be with you, Suga, and Daichi. Everyone was staying together. Everyone!
So there were no sad tears the day you graduated. Hugs for everyone! It seemed you and Suga had the same idea since you both saved each other for last. His hug was warm and strong, but gentle… and for a split second… you thought you could feel his heart hammering against your chest. Was he nervous?
As the two of you pulled away, your eyes met. The whole world around you seemed to disappear, leaving only Suga before you. Was this really happening? Was he leaning in?
Someone calling your name, loudly, beside you, broke the intense stare down you and Suga had been having. You turned your head to be able to respond to whoever was trying for your attention, but felt your voice catch in your throat at the feel of soft lips kissing your cheek.
That day haunted you the rest of your college life.
Not a bad, horrible memory kind of haunting… But an absolute feeling of loss kind of haunted memory. Because you’d lost that day. You’d lost your mind thinking about that day since that day.
He’d kissed you. Suga had leaned in to kiss your lips… and had kissed your cheek… You wondered what would have happened if he’d kissed you in time? Or if you hadn’t turned your head the other way? How would you have reacted? Would you have kissed him back?
The questions that plagued your mind all throughout your college life, plagued his as well.
Nothing happened. Absolutely nothing.
So why did the two of you meeting eyes send a big smile spreading across his and your face? As if the two of you had some kind of secret. Because he knew you didn’t reject him… and you knew he wanted you…. And yet… neither of you went to make the first move.
And that irritated you to no end! Because he KNEW you hadn’t rejected him… and he still refrained from acting further with you! Like it was a game! And honestly?
You were enjoying his teasing!
Suga had gained confidence since that first kissed cheek, kissing your ear or forehead with every hug he gave you. Sending your nerves into a frantic panic, leaning further into his embrace at the feel of his lips on you, only to be left longing when he’d pull away with a smirk or a playful wink.
He knew. He knew damn well what you wanted, and yet didn’t give it to you!
Was he testing you? Offering you to take first step after he had?
It’s like… the two of you were acting like you were dating… Everyone around you both knew the two of you were unofficially dating, and yet - you weren’t getting the benefits of dating him! Suga LIVED in the same apartment as you! He treated you as softly and gently as he would to any woman, and yet he only gave you his attention!
You couldn’t count how many times you and he would be cuddled up on the couch, watching either a silly rom com or just some documentary on nature… and you’d just feel…. Absolute peace. Because you wanted to be in his arms, and you wanted to be his…. And he did, too, right? He wanted you?
Another night like that tonight, and you decided to see just how much he wanted you. If he did at all…. But that thought quickly vanished as soon as Suga came through the door, pulling you into a tight hug with a “I’m home!” Calling. You hugged him back tightly, feeling your heart pounding in your chest… home? Were you home to him? Or was it just the apartment?
No. It had to be you. He hadn’t said that until he’d pulled you into his arms… You were his home. You just knew it in your heart. And he was yours…. Did he know that? Had you been clear enough for him to know he was the love of your life?
Suga didn’t have a chance to pull to far away before your hands were on either side of his face and pulling him closer to you. Your lips found his almost immediately, and you felt your heart explode in your chest at the feel of his arms hugging you closer than they ever had before. He leaned into the kiss, his lips moving with yours, but you could taste the surprise on his breath. He hadn’t expected you to be so forward.
The kiss was…. Your first. His first… Beautiful and sweet. Gentle and warm. Was this what it felt like to be with your soul mate? Or had the two of you known each other for so long… the idea of being with someone else just didn’t seem right?
Whatever the case… You felt complete. His arms held you close, hand pressed to your back to keep your chest against his.. to feel your heart beating in sync with his own and know without a doubt you were his one and only.
Almost reluctantly, you pulled from his lips, resting your forehead against his with your eyes closed. His breath fanned across your face and yours across his.. He leaned in for another peck, finding he couldn’t get enough of your sweet taste. You smiled against his lips before whispering, “Welcome Home.”
