fucking love when I'm on a call with someone and they start to do a little errand or go somewhere else and they say "and you're coming with me" like. absolutely I am let's go on an adventure I've been spirited away
JUST KIDDING, today we're announcing that from now on, Red and Hema have switched gem types. Hema is now Red's Pink Pearl, and Red is the smallest Hematite of the batch. Not that either of them seems to mind :)
Hands are so, so good. Especially with the contrast you can bring that /enhances/ the soft and positive aspects.
Hands are safety, love, closeness, security, yes.
But they can also be claws, choking, destruction, terrifyingly dextrous tools used to fish things or people out of hiding places. They can be battered and bruised and calloused, or used to rend a building down to its foundation. Claws so sharp, something so small may feel they're in a bear trap rather than someone's palm- fingers curling over them like a cage.
But all that contrast can up the intimacy so easily, so beautifully. The same hands used to render a bigger monster motionless to protect the one they love, so delicately brushing their hair aside to check if said person is alright. The smaller party knowing their protector would never turn their claws on them.
Hands are so important in G/t, you really can’t overlook them. They’re one of the most intimate connections between a giant and tiny. They’re safety, love, closeness, and security. They can be so scary at first and require a lot of trust building before being able to safely hold a tiny. All of the little details and imperfections are eventually memorized, and they not only become a welcome respite, but one of the most intimate things to a tiny. I love hands…
Playing around with whether I want Cheebi to have long or short hair! Along with exploring how Cheebi often rides on Vee's back or his shoulders. She likes to feel tall :> Along with other reasons for doing so.
You know, when I see fictional characters who repress all their emotions, they're usually aloof and very blunt about keeping people at a distance, sometimes to an edgy degree—but what I don't see nearly enough are the emotionally repressed characters who are just…mellow.
Think about it. In real life, the person that's bottling up all their emotions is not the one that's brooding in the corner and snaps at you for trying to befriend them. More often than not, it's that friendly person in your circle who makes easy conversation with you, laughs with you, and listens and gives advice whenever you're upset. But you never see them upset, in fact they seem to have endless patience for you and everything around them—and so you call them their friend, you trust them. And only after months of telling them all your secrets do you realize…
…they've never actually told you anything about themselves.
I feel like so much of the focus is on hands and face when it comes to giants but, man. The rest of them too.
Laying on their forearm and feeling their muscles move beneath you. Sinking into the softness of their stomach. Leaning against their ankle when you get tired of standing. Comparing your size to the width of their femur. Sitting on their knee til they draw their legs up and you slide down their thigh. Being tiny enough to perch in the curve of their ear so you can chat to them. Resting in their collarbone like a hammock. Being gently pinned between their thighs when they need their hands free. Reaching up to feel the soft curve of their jaw when held close to their chest. Curling up to their neck and falling asleep.
