It seems like pornography wouldn’t be the best place to learn about women’s rights or women’s issues. The narrative of the industry is that women are put at the forefront to be subjugated as fuck dolls and holes for perverse male action and fetishism of the societal role that the patriarchy has established as law. However, what if women’s rights were not only established but portrayed, in the sex industry.
There is a fringe of sex workers that actually call themselves feminists. These elite do the shoots and scenes that they want, when they want and with whom they want. Being a feminist in the adult film industry almost certainly means you are a fetishist too. The fact that someone can be strong and willing to take their sexuality as far or as little as they want is at the heart of feminist pornography. That being said, a platform such as that must produce fetishes that need exploring and therefore performers to try it.
In a standard shoot, the orgasms and the sexual contact and content are in the control of the director, the visionary, the maestro of consumer masturbation. Let us flip the script, what if the orgasms weren’t up to the director? What if it wasn’t even about the consumer’s orgasm? What is there was a world where performers only preformed for each other, to get each other off instead of you. What if this kind of porn isn’t focused on a consumer base but an organic sexual experience with oneself, as true orgasms should be?
That is why feminist porn is necessary in the field of women’s studies and needs to be discussed as a way for women to become stronger, by telling the world that they do not need to be told how to have sex. If it feels good and it feels right (by consent) do it.

This video shows the ways ads disgustingly objectify women
Objectification of women, or reducing them to their body parts to get consumers’ (read: men’s) attention, is not new, but a video produced for a campaign called #WomenNotObjects has people talking.
It features women holding everyday ads that put their bodies on blast.
Advertisers, we demand better.

.... the underlying thought is anti-woman and I’m sick of it. The picture captions assume that the man makes more money than the woman, therefore devaluing women as either trophy wives or dependents
