So a few weeks ago I posted that I need to raise $1k in order to stay above water with my bills. Well, I didn’t meet that goal, not even anywhere near it.

In June, I lost my position as a preschool teacher over something that shouldn’t be legal at all, I shared a joke on facebook one of my coworkers disagreed with. She caused such an issue with it at work, that she convinced my employer to LIE to me and say a ton of parents had complained to them and that I had to be let go on principal. When I reached out to those parents who had access to my facebook page, to apologize for offending them, none of them had any idea what I was talking about, and had found the post I was let go over to be hilarious and true.

I decided to not go back to work full time at the support of my partner, because I needed to devote extra time to my school work. I completed that difficult semester, and went to work as a private nanny, knowing how much this path had helped me previously when I was on hard times. Here in this smaller town however, people don’t hire nannies, they hire “Afterschool helpers” and Babysitters. And they pay to match these titles.

Over the next 2 weeks, I need a minimum of $400 to pay my 2 credit bills minimum payments, my health and dental insurance, and my phone bill. In order to pay off everything, I need $1200.

I currently have $120 in my account, with $96 income to come in at the end of the week, but that is all I will have to my name between now and the time the bills are due. My core expenses, gas, food, shelter, are covered by my boyfriend.

Here is what I am offering in exchange for the help:

Dionysus Libation

Ok. For those who are in the Florida area near Orlando I want to extend an invitation to the libation to Dionysus. Every second Saturday serves as a monthly libation to one of the Theoi. December 8 is the date for that libation. What ideas do you all have? I think this would be a great first meeting for all of us and a way to launch our Hellenism in Orlando. Offerings

Hey gang. Part of what I love about my practice is that you can experiment and see what works for your worship to the Gods. I just tried something that I have never done before. I read that if you leave a food or drink libation out for the God or Goddess youre currently working with, once you feel it is time, instead of burying it or whatever you normally do, you can eat or drink it. The thought is that the offering is filled with the energies and blessings of that deity and you are not only sharing the offering with them (I drank with the deity as I offered it to Her) but you are taking them into yourselves. I thought this was interesting and good way to forge a bond with them. Here's what I did. I offered some beer to Athena and drank with Her as we discussed all of my educational endeavours that she has been very vocal and at the forefront about. When I felt it was time, I thanked Her and drank the beer I left for Her. We'll see what happens. I may love it or just the opposite. Thoughts on this?
