One of my mutuals made a good post and absolutely respect not wanting it to get spread around but I wanna vocalize it myself because it's always been my biggest issue with the community. I speak from experience on this too.

If you see the community as some popularity contest, you need to step back and take a break. I mean this. If it has gotten to the point you are measuring your worth against others no matter what it is and getting to the point you are constantly vaguing about "bigger" blogs, you've enter an unhealthy place with the community and you need a break. You don't understand that Tumblr is not algorithm based app/website and doesn't work like other social media. Popularity equals nothing here, you get nothing out of it. People follow other people because they want to see it on their dash and they like it, people interact with select people because it's what they are okay with. People are not entitled to interact with you. Stop being petty by comparing it to popularity contest, you need to find your happiness here or you need to rethink why you are here.

I'm sorry if this is extremely blunt but as someone who was in this mindset for awhile until I left and rethought things, you aren't going to be happy here and it's only going to get worse as those feelings accumulate. It's not healthy and it's about time someone says it.
