#MakeOverMonday Turn a pasta sauce into a sloppy Joe!  My boyfriend made me dinner (Schar's pasta and sauce made from scratch). There was a bunch of leftover sauce and we didn't want to waste it (cuz there's like starving people in China and stuff) so we recycled it into sloppy Joes (Udi's hamburger buns).

They have buckwheat crepes (which are gluten free, even though they have the word wheat in them. Because that totally makes sense). They will substitute ANY crepe on the menu with a gluten free crepe.

***If you have a severe intolerance, both locations use the same iron as the regular crepes, so be sure to inform your waiter about the seriousness of the issue and they will deep clean the iron before they put the buckwheat batter in, which is what they did for me.

I've been there for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert and feel good morning, noon, and night. The pictures are of: The Farmer, Funky Monkey dessert, and banana and strawberry fruit mascarpone.

Mocha Daqouise (pure deliciousness in English ;] ) is a gluten free cake that you must try. Thank you European Cafe by Sweet Couture for satisfying me. 

Bummed because #GlutenIsAPainInTheGlutes and you can't have regular pancakes? Justify your sorrows by putting candy (candy cakes!!!) or blueberries in your pancake batter. I used Maple Grove Farm's all natural gluten free pancake and waffle mix. 

La Parrilla in Lawrence, KS is a great place to eat GF! Shout out to the waiter Matthew for communicating with the chef and providing excellent service.  Anything on the menu that has a flour tortilla can be substituted with a corn tortilla.

Salty Iguana in Lawrence, KS has a gluten free menu. 

CON: very confusing menu (you have to have the regular menu in hand as well) PRO: very honest about their cross contamination items- they earned mega trust points. They were knowledgable enough to bring out separate chips (their regular chips are GF but are dipped in oil that is cross contaminated.

I just took a survey fighting for gluten free options at Dunkin Donuts (specifying to be aware of cross contamination because gluten intolerance is an actual disease rather than some frivolous fad).  Every vote counts!  If you don't have time to answer literally 1 question, you've had 3 too many donuts (lazzzzy).

Do you want to hear a joke about pizza? Nevermind, it's too cheesy.  Arris Pizza has gluten free pizza crust! I know the owners and they provide excellent service, making sure cross contamination is kept to a minimum (note the foil around the gf pizza, but not the regular one). They are knowledgable about what gluten is-double checking the ingredients in the Alfredo sauce so I could enjoy this wonderful Alfredo and chicken pizza!

Tasia in Springfield, MO has 2 gluten free noodle options, and gluten free options on the regular menu. I'd give the service, food, and gluten free awareness a 5 out of 5. Their brown sauces do NOT have wheat in them, but always double check with your waiter when it comes to soy sauce. This time, I had the Guway Teow.
