What are some things that you REALLY LOVE to see in stories? Any story.

I personally bounce back and forth between zany, light-hearted, random humor type of stuff and then things very violent and angsty. cwc;

Hrmm. I like a lot of horror stuff, but otherwise am generally inclined to lighthearted happy stuff. I don't mind bad things happening, but I need stories to have some catharsis at the end. If you cut open my heart you better stitch me up at the end!

I understand thematically that a lack of catharsis can serve a purpose, but I personally don't like it when characters just suffer and suffer and suffer and nothing good ever happens. If there's no triumph, or healing, or peace, then thats a No from me. That's probably why I'm inclined towards slasher type horror out of any other horror- the final girl trope basically guarantees some level of catharsis at the end of it, and in movies where the victims are basically walking stereotypes and/or annoying and unlikeable, the slasher winning can even be the catharsis.

My favorite character/story tropes are probably 'big scary monster is actually really shy/sweet' and 'human and their nonhuman friend'. most of my OCs (mainly my non-pokemon ones but some of my pokemon ones too lol) fall into one or both of these.

I am generally inclined to stories with fantastical elements, barring horror in which I'm usually more inclined to liking when the threat is more 'real', but it varies. I can also say that I'm almost completely uninterested in any kind of romance. LOVE to see friendship stuff, romance, not so much.

uh I guess Poppy? I find a toddler being in the elite 4 really funny and I've seen a lot of cute/funny art about her having both a Tinkaton and a Corviknight.

Mac listens to Sirius's answer intently, repeating it back to himself in his head a few times until he was satisfied he had committed it to memory. After all, actually learning something here is probably some of the best encouragement Mac could give to Sirius, but Mac's painfully aware at how quickly information can get lost in his mind, and it certainly didn't help part of his attention was caught on Sirius's prior comment on his interactions with others thus far.

What kind of Pokemon did Sirius say the messenger was, again? Ah, heck... Still, at least the important parts of the story were there. Mac returns Sirius's smile at the conclusion of his answer with a wide grin of his own.

The air above Mac's hand begins to shimmer and fizzle. A warmth radiates outward from it. Suddenly, a crack! like a can being opened, and a coin appears, falling into Mac's waiting hand.

Mac drops the coin into Sirius's hand without waiting for any kind of response. The coin is pleasantly warm like the air before its creation. A slight hum can be felt hold it, and when the light catches it right, it shines iridescent. Gold, yes, but clearly not normal gold.

"It's a pleasure to finally speak of something I've studied so extensively, Well... to someone who's actually interested in it, unlike that butterfly creature." "I enjoy questions, after all, I wanted to become a university professor and I was going to become one, but unfortunately, the stars had other plans for me."

"As for your inquiry, the universe gates are not new. They're very old, older than me, perhaps... even older than my mother, Lunala. That is to say, they're hundreds and thousands of years old." "They were created during the deity war. I believe during that time Lunala and Solgaleo didn't have their own realm yet. They were merely stardust wandering within Xerneas' own Realm. Please do not quote me on that however, I'm an engineer, not a historian. From what I was taught, they were created so Arceus could wage war on the other gods."

"As the story was told to me... Arceus, The Creator and God of All was quite upset their creations began, well... creating. At first, it was The God of Distortions, Arceus's banished kin who upset them. They had created the gods Xerneas and Yveltal to rule the soul realms. But then from there, those two gods further gave life to their own creations, the minor, sub and demi deities that rule us today." "Arceus was isolated in the God Realm at the time, they knew not of this and when they found out it sent them into a rage. Because of those two giving life to new deities, their title was no longer 'The Creator' that belonged to Xerenas and Yveltal. Instead of accepting this, it chose to wage war on the other gods, and well That was the start of the deity war." Journey quickly butted in at the mention of Arceus, "Seer, you're telling it all wrong! That's not what happened!" They huffed. "I should know because I was actually there, unlike your dumb nerd books and mom."

"The Deity War was a dumb war between BOTH the gods and the mortals!! It was the gods and their magic users! Arceus only asked me to create the portals because of that! You know!"

"So they ordered a meeting between the major deities, them, and me of course. Because I'm way more special to them than both the mew and... whatever their name was. I got to watch the whole thing!"

"I think I did too good of a job because after I showed them..."

"Guess they didn't need me anymore..." Journey's smile quickly shifted into an annoyed look. "I dunno why! I was like the best demi-deity any god could ask for! I always did what Arceus told me, I always created what they wanted me to. I was perfect! Ugh." They crossed their arms. "Sometimes I wanna go back to the God Realm, but Lunala said I live here now because... 'Your god didn't actually care about you Journey, Blah blah blah!' Yeah, yeah! Sure. If they didn't care why was I super important to them! Hm!?" Sirius gave the Hoopa a look of pity and concern, they didn't seem to care or notice.
