taylor has been my top artist for 4 of the past 5 months. she could do more for the world with her platform but can i really be sure i would be any better in her position? no of course not. so i just let myself sit back and enjoy the music and try not to think of the horrible things trying to bring our world to an end. as a guy i strangely get more negativity from my women friends than from my guy friends when i talk about taylor swift, it's crazy.

I think everyone could and should do more especially when they have the money to do so and Taylor has shown to be very generous, but I think knowing where her mental health has been since honestly maybe speak now era, I think she like anyone else sometimes needs to be a bit selfish. She says in sweet nothing how she feels like she should be doing more but she’s struggling. I’m constantly looking after myself and haven’t had the time since around 2019 as well to involve myself with anything but healing so I understand how tiring it is and I’m not writing and producing 2+ albums a year and touring 3 hours multiple times a week.

I wish I had more guy friends who were genuine swifties because I love to talk about her music but many people get annoyed with it. I’ve had hate from both women and men and it’s usually from a lack of understanding and misogyny ‘because it’s fun to hate on feminine things that are popular’. I never claim for her to be a perfect person who can’t be criticized, I love all of her songs though and can relate to 99% of them so that’s what’s important to me.

Despite swifties apparently taking up a huge part of the world population, the hate gets very loud, and being a swiftie feels lonely in spite of all of that. I think there’s also different kinds of Taylor fans and I can rarely find someone who is middle ground like me where I look up to Taylor’s artistry but respect her as a person and see her flaws that she has been spelling out to us for years
