Platonic yandere john kramer
TW: manipulation, death, mentions of harm towards reader, probably OOC.
John kramer's behavior towards the reader depends on how he meets the reader.
There are two ways this can happen, one is that you were his biological child or you were put through one of his traps.
If you are his biological child, he will push you away when he takes on the jigsaw role to protect you from what he is doing.
So his tendencies would be very light to nonexistent.
But if you met him through a trap, things would be much more complicated. (And worse for reader)
I imagine the reader would look up to him after they have been 'rehabilitated' similar to Amanda's situation.
If you continue to show interest in his work and ideology, then he'll make you into an apprentice.
This is when his obsession begins for the reader.
John kramer is a manipulative, obsessive, and controlling yandere.
I imagine the reader would be in a weak mental state after they have been 'rehabilitated' so John would use this to his advantage because he isn't physically strong as he is slowly dying because of his cancer.
He would enjoy every minute with you, whether if it is you two working on traps or just being in the same room together because he doesn't have a lot of time left.
He would be really happy if you are completely loyal to him, he would be very happy and he'll give you praise as a manipulation tactic. he may also mention that he could put you through another trap to make sure you behave.
He tries to hide his favoritism towards you hidden from Amanda and Hoffman, as he believes that they'll hurt you if they know. And the only reason he'll allow them to meet you is because it’ll allow him to spend more time with you.
He'll feed you lies about Amanda and Hoffman to keep you from getting to attached to them as he believes that you deserve to be around better people.
When the game starts in saw 3, he'll comfort you as both of you know John is going to die soon.
He'll tell you how proud he is of you and reminisce about the time the both of you shared.
He makes you the official heir to the jigsaw game and gives you the plans to the rest of the games and traps he has. Then, he allows you to let your emotions out before he sends you away to safety.
The reader is allowed to either continue the jigsaw traps or go on to live a normal life. It just depends if you catch the other apprentices' eyes.

Absolutely loved your platonic maomao work! How would things change if you are childhood friends? Would she be more motivated to return home?
I do think that she'll try to convert you into a fellow poison appreciator so you'd at least let her eat some suspicious herbs in peace.
Sorry for taking so long to answer. I've been busy with school stuff.
The biggest change would be that she is MUCH more attached to you.
This increases her other yandere tendencies towards you.
However, the reader would be more exposed to the red-light district more because of her work. This increases her protective side tenfold.
Also, if you two were childhood friends, it would be very likely that you would be taking care of her father when she was kidnapped. Because you'd feel bad if you left the old man alone by himself.
You only figure out that she was kidnapped by the number and contents of letters she sends to you
She would try her very best to escape without getting herself killed. She'll try to manipulate people around her to help her leave, and if she is desperate She'll ask Jinshi for help.
She would try to keep you close to her when she eventually returns home, and if she's desperate enough, she'll bring you with her back to the palace so you two don't get separated.
And when it comes to converting you into a poison appreciater. I fully believe she would do this, though it would be a semi-slow process.
Because she doesn't want you to get yourself killed while messing around with herbs and other plants because you don't have the tolerance that she has.
She doesn't allow you to touch the herbs or poisons. Instead, she'll just have you learn and understand why she is obsessive over poisons. And she may gilt trip you a bit by saying something like: "If I don't do it, someone else would, and we both know how that would turn out."
When you eventually show interest in medicines, she'll be over the moon, and she'll teach you everything she knows. And if you listen to everything she says, she may even try to make you more resistant to poisons like her.

Platonic yandere Maomao
Tw: yandere themes, mentions of murder and poisoning.
You two most likely meet at the Jade palace where you've been working as a servant. And you have shown a great interest in the medicines that she makes.
Maomao takes a while to grow close to someone, so you'll have to be close to her for a good while for to grow an obsession for you.
Maomao also doesn't show a ton of emotion, and when she does, it usually has something to do with medicines or poisons. So you'll most likely never know about her obsession for you.
I also think she'll know that what she feels is a bad thing, so she'll try to avoid being around you, but if you persist, she'll allow herself to get closer to you.
She is a manipulative and protective yandere, even if she doesn't show it often.
She gives you a lot of freedom and doesn't try to control you too much. However, she will step in if she thinks you are doing something dangerous.
When you two are able to leave, she'll have you come home with her, especially if your family sold you to the Imperial Palace. This is one of the very few times she'll force you to do something.
inevitably, you will meet Jinshi, but Maomao will step in if he tries to charm you (I might write for him later)
While she is a Yandere, she rarely resorts to murder. She perfers to blackmail people to stay away instead. She only kills someone if she thinks they will hurt you greatly.
if she has to kill someone, she'll poison them. (How surprising)
She isn't really affectionate, but she'll let you hug her. and maybe she'll return the affection even if it is a bit awkward.
Both of you stay close together most of the time, so you'll help with the investigations she's participates in. But she makes you stay back if the investigation has a violent culprit.
She doesn't want you to be around verdigris' house or red light district at all without her with because she doesn't want to risk you being kidnapped or worse.
The only time she'll do anything to you is if you don't listen to her very clear warnings or if you try to leave her.
Her punishments mostly include a non-leathal amount of poison to keep you by her side as your symptoms are very similar to a few illnesses at the time.
Overall, she is a rather tame yandere. Just listen to her and everything will be fine.
