About Last Night

(After Bengals game)
It was around 8:30 when you and Joe got home from the game. The Bengals lost. It was their third loss this season in a row. It sucks but you know they are desperate to get a winning streak going and working hard to win a championship.
You threw my boots of and hung my coat in the closet near our entry way. Joe already was downstairs just before you could even take your shoes off. The loss was hitting him hard especially because he knew he could have done better. He quickly got to work on film. You were upstairs alone in the kitchen heating some food up for the both of you.The kitchen lights were the only lights on along with the lamp in the living room. The only noise you heard were the creeks on the floor boards when you walked and the microwave heating up some vegetables and rice. You could hear faint noises from joes film downstairs to. After a couple minutes the food was done and you took it out to put on a plate for Joe and bring it down. You walked down the wooden stairs into the basement and made a right to joes home office. Then knocked on the door that was wide open to let him know you were there.
“Hey, I made some food for you.”- you
Joe just looked at me
I walked over to the coffee table in front of him. He was sitting on the small leather couch you got him a few months ago to make it more comfortable in his office for film watching.
“I’m not hungry.”- joe
You looked at him
“You got to be hungry Joe. You just played a three hour game. You got to put something in your system.”- you said sweetly
“I said I’m not hungry, y/n!”- joe raised his voice
He never raised his voice at you EVER.
You were taken back. You honestly were a little scared. He has never raised his voice. You didn’t know what to do.
“Fine, I will just take it back.”- you said picking up the plate
“Y/n! God, can you move. I can’t see the screen!”- joe raised his voice again
“Excuse me,Joe what is wrong with you. You have never raised your voice at me ever! And it’s rude. I get your frustration about the game but don’t take it out on me. Here take your food back, eat it cold.”- you scoffed
You left the room. As you turned to the stairs tears started rolling down your face. You covered your mouth in shock about what juts happened and trying not to let Joe hear you sob. Walking up the steps and into your kitchen you started sobbing even more. The tiredness started to hit you and you couldn’t believe the interaction you just had with Joe. You put your elbows on the kitchen counter and covered your face with your hands. Trying to control your sobs you breathed in and out.
After about 5 minutes you heard footsteps. Your eyes were red and one last tear streamed down your face. you wiped the tear with your fingers before joe could see you. You decided to act like you were doing something so you got the cloth that was on the counter and started wiping away some stains and crumbs. As you were wiping,Joe walked in. He looked up at you quickly. You didn’t even want to talk to him let alone look at him right now.
“Y/n.”- joe
“Don’t Joe, I’m not in the mood.”- you
“Can we please talk? I’m so so sorry y/n I-” -Joe
“I don’t want to hear it right now Joe!”- you
You looked up at him
His eyes were also a little red. He started crying after you left. He felt horrible for what he just said to you and how it made you feel. He finally composed himself enough to come up and talk with you.
“Just go upstairs and I will meet you there. I’m tired and I want to go to sleep.”- you
“No, I want to talk this out with you. You are my wife and the love of my life. I hate that I made you cry, so we are going to talk.”- joe
“Fine Joe, here it goes. I get it, You’re tired and angry about the way the game turned out. But that is never a reason to take it out on me or anyone you love. Especially when that person is trying to help you. It is so hard Joe seeing you down like this, so hard. I work hard to make sure when you get home you have food on your plate waiting for you, I make sure that your clothes are washed and clean for the next day, and when you are injured I make sure you have everything that you need to stay healthy and not in pain. I love you Joey,so much and I love this life I have with you, but its can be hard at times and I know you know that. It’s annoying when I get home from a tiring day and just want to curl up in bed but I don’t. I want to make sure that you are ok and that you eat after a long day. So I make you food and bring it down to you. But all I get is you raising your voice at me which you never do and you saying “I’m not hungry” and “Y/n! God, can you move. I can’t see the screen.” You know how that fucking sucks after today. I was just trying to taken care of you and I know you know that now but you can’t just raise your voice at someone who loves you and is trying to help you,Ok?”- you
You just stared at Joe waiting for a response.
“I’m sorry y/n. Truly from the bottom of my heart. I know it’s hard for you. I get that it’s tiring and tuff taking care of someone like me. But I should man up and I don’t and I’m sorry. I should have never raised my voice and I seriously have no idea why I did. I would never raise my voice at you and now I did. I saw it made you scared and taken back. I wanted to come up to you right away but I know when you are sad or angry you like to have some time alone. Im so pissed at myself that I made you cry. I love you y/n so much it hurts and I’m so grateful that you take care of me the way you do. I promise to never raise my voice ever!”- joe
He walked over to you and gave you a tight hug. You wrapped your arms around his torso and gave him a tight squeeze. You looked up at him and gave him a kiss on the lips.
“It’s ok Joe, I know you didn’t mean for it to happen.”- you
“No, it’s not ok. I hate that I did it to you. It wasn’t right.”- joe
“Joey, seriously it’s ok! I promise you. I love you Joe with all my heart.”- you
“I love you to,y/n. I will love you for forever and ever.”- joe
He grabbed your cheeks and kissed you.
“Want to go to bed?”- joe
“Yes, please!”- you laughed
Joe laughed along with you as you two walked up the steps to your bedroom.

You’re all mine
Summary: you and Joe end up confessing your feelings not just towards each other but also to your parents.
(September 2020)
It was a normal Friday night. You were at your best friend’s house for annual movie night and dinner. You have know Joe all your life. Your moms have been besties since middle school. They introduced the two of you when you guys were only 2 years old. Ever since you both have been best friends. You have always had some sort of feelings towards Joe but never told him. You thought it would ruin your friendship.
You both were laying on Joes couch watching Anyone But You. You were snuggled into joes neck and his hand was on your thigh. You guys always cuddle but something felt different. Like there was a different spark between you and Joe. A good spark. Your eyes started to get tired. Joe noticed your tired eyes and smiled. Knowing how safe and comfortable you felt laying on him. He then moved his hand from your thigh to your back. He rolled up the bottom half of your shirt and started drawing shapes on your bare skin. Going up and down your spine. It sent shivers all up and down your spine. You always imagined what it would be like to be his girlfriend. He always takes you to his events and everyone always asks him if you are his girlfriend. He smiles and his cheeks always get a little rosy. He says “no, she is my childhood best friend.” And that’s all he says. Sometimes people will tell him that they thought we were a couple because he sometimes puts his arm around me and we always check up on each other. It makes you get all happy inside. Like maybe there is a spark or a chance.
After a couple minutes your eyes finally closed and you fell asleep. Joe kept rubbing your back and watching the movie. But soon after he became tired to. He picked up the remote and turned the tv off. He then looked at you. He was mesmerized by you. Your beauty, your love, your kindness, your laugh. He loved everything about you. He realized a while ago that he had feelings for you. He just has been in football mode and didn’t even realize that he caught feelings. Joe stopped rubbing your back and put his arm under your legs and his other arm around your back to pick you up bridal style to put you to bed. You woke up to the sudden movement. All you did was wrap your arms around his neck and close your eyes again. He stood up with you in his arms and walked up the stairs. You usually sleep in the guest room so you thought he was bringing you in there, but he didn’t. Instead he brought you to his room. He laid you down on the side he doesn’t sleep on and out the covers over you. Turned off the lights and went over to his side. Crawled into bed next to you and looked over at you. You were on your side, your back was towards Joe. He watched as your body rose and fell from your breaths. They you quickly realized where you were once you felt Joe get it. You woke up and looked at Joe.
“Hey.”-joe
“Hi”-you
Then you moved your head to his chest and snuggled into him. You realized that Joe probably has feelings for you now because he put you in his bed. Joe didn’t really show a lot of affection to anyone really so when he shows it to you, you always feel like he had some sort of feelings towards you. He started playing with your hair as you curled up next to him.
“So, you probably know that I like you now since you are laying in my bed and-”-joe
You cut him off with placing a kiss on his lips
“Yeah, I know.”-you smiled
“Ok, good.”-joe
He kissed you
“Are you coming back with me to Athens tomorrow?”-joe
“Yeah, I figured I could see my parents and spend time with them.”-you
Joe nodded his head
“By the way, I like this.”-joe
“What do you mean?”-you
“Us, together.”-joe
“Like boyfriend and girlfriend kind of thing?”-you
“Yeah!”-joe
“Speaking of that, what are we?”-you
“Well, since we just kissed and we both have massive feelings towards each other I think it’s only right we start dating.”- joe smirked
“Ok burrow, deal!”-you
We both laughed.
Let’s just say the night ended in both of us not in our pjs.

(Next day) in Athens
“Hey Mama!”-you
“Hey,hon!”-your mom
You just gotten to Athens with Joe and in your backyard with your parents, but Joe is coming over soon with his parents and his siblings for some barbecue.
After setting up the table outside for everyone to eat the Burrows finally arrived.
“Hey guys!”-robin and jimmy
“Hi!”- your dad and mom
After they hugged Robin and Jimmy moved to you.
“Y/n! You look gorgeous as always.”-robin
“Aww thank you, Robin!”-you pulled her in to a hug
“Hey sweetie.”-Jimmy
“Hi Jimmy! So nice to see you!”-you pulled him into a hug
After saying hello to joes parents you see Joe and his siblings.
“Y/n! How have you been?”-codie (Jamie’s wife)
“I’ve been good! How about you? How are the kids?”-you
“They are amazing! They are with my parents tonight.”-Codie
You then said hello to Joes brothers and made some funny jokes with them about when you were younger. As you laughed with Dan you see Joe approaching.
“Hey.”- joe blushed
“Hey.”- you smiled
You pulled each other into a tight hug. Your arms around his neck and his arms around your lower waist.
Your families still didn’t know about you and Joe so you guys had to keep it low key.
As you moved out of the hug, Joe still had one of his arms around your waist and was staring so deeply at you. You locked eyes with him. You were about to say something when your mom called.
“Dinner everyone!”- your mom
You pulled out of Joes contact and walked to the table. You intertwined your fingers with his as you walked over to your seat. Joe sat next to you.
“This looks amazing!”- Dan
“Thank you.”- your mom and dad
Everyone started eating and it was so good no words were said for a whole 5 minutes.
“So, y/n how are things at work?”- Jimmy
“It’s been good! Patients come in and out every day. Some stay longer than others and I usually work more with them.”- you
You are a physician psychologist at your local hospital in Cincinnati. You have been there for three years and love it.
“That’s nice. Anyone give you crap?”- Jimmy
You laughed
“Sometimes, but really just the teenagers who hate talking about everything and anything. I can handle them though.”- you
“Good. Always knew how to put someone in their place.”- Jimmy
“It’s true. She once got sent home from school because she started going off on one of her school bullies.”- your mom
“Oh yeah! I remember that, it was awesome.”- joe
Everyone laughed
They started talking about how Joe and I were inseparable all through elementary school to college. Then they switched subjects into joes love life.
“Joes only had one crush his whole life. I don’t think that’s changed.”- Dan smirked over at us
“Yeah, and I never found out who it was.”- you laughed
“Oh well, you know her very well.”- Dan
“I do?”- you
“Yeah, she is brunette, works in a hosp-.”- Dan
“Ok, ok, I think that’s enough Dan.”- joe
“Hey, he was just about to tell me.”- you
“I know he was but you definitely already know who my crush was and still is.”- joe
“No I don’t.”- you
You were honestly a bit confused. Surprisingly because you can read a room very well and always good at figuring out details but you can’t seem to get it.
“Yes you do y/n, especially after last night.”- joe looked up at you and smirked
“Last night? What happened last nigh- oh.”- you
Your face became flushed
“Wait, what happened last night?”- Dan
“Wait, I was your crush all along? It took you this long burrow to tell me?!!”- you
“GUYS! What happened last night?”- Dan
“Yeah!”- everyone
“Ok, ok, last night we told each other we like one another and we hooked up.”- joe
“WHAT!”- everyone
“You didn’t need to tell them the hooked up part Joey.”- you laughed
“Sorry.”- joe whispered with smile
“Wait, wait, you guys hooked up last night? Finally!”- Codi
Everyone laughed
“So, what are you guys now? A couple?”- Jamie
“Yeah, yeah we are.”- you looked up at Joe
Joe nodded with a big happy smile
“OMG! Finally.”- robin
“Seriously.”- your mom chuckled
Joe put his left hand on your thigh and you put your hand on top.
“So, it’s been me all along.”- you
“Always has been.”- joe smirked
“Such an ass, burrow.”- you
You leaned on for a kiss.

Joe walks up and gives the boys a hug and a shake.
Today was the day that Joe was going to be doing New Hight’s podcast live with Travis Kelce, Jason, and Orlando brown Jr. You were so excited! You decided to come and watch to support Joe. You were wearing a orange skims bodysuit with blue ripped up jeans and Air Forces. You got sat next to THE KYLIE KELCE! You love her and what she does to support women’s sports.
“Hey, I’m Kylie! It’s very nice to meet you!”- Kylie
“Hi! It’s so nice to meet you too!”- you
You both hug and sit down
“So, you are Joe’s girlfriend?”- Kylie
“Yes! been dating for 7 years, but just recently got engaged. Trying to keep it low key.”- you chuckled
“Wow, Congrats!I’m surprised I’ve still been with mine! He’s a lot of work, but I love him.”- Kylie
“Awww, you guys are a very sweet couple! And your daughters are the cutest!”- you

You and Kylie talked a little about being a WAG and how they managed football and family time. The boys were facing you. You had a clear view of Joe and loved seeing him interact in this kind of environment.
The boys talked football for the most part but then they went into family life.
“So, your parents have really been your number 1 supporter since day one?”- Travis
“Yeah, they helped me through a lot and have always been there for me… but my fiancé has also been there for me through a lot and wouldn’t be here without her too.”- Joe
“Wait what! Bring it back, you are getting married?!”- Travis
Joe chuckled
“Yeah..uh just got engaged last year. We decided to keep it private until I guess now.”- joe
The whole stadium went crazy
I was shocked. I of course didn’t mind he told them because I been wanting to announce it for a while but was waiting on what Joe thought but here we are. He looked at me and winked.
“Congrats man! Is she here tonight?”- Jason
“Yeah..she’s right there.”- joe points at you
The camera points to you and soon enough you are on the Jumbotron. You smiled and waved. You were so nervous.
“Ahhh there she is folks!”- jason

“Shes beautiful,congrats.”- Travis
“Thank you! She uh.. has helped through a lot. Y/n has been with me my whole journey from college to bengals so she’s been apart for a long time and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without her so I’m very grateful.”- joe
“Wow! Well Joe you are one very lucky guy.”- Travis
“Trust me I know.”- joe chuckled

It was Thursday night and you were sitting in your dorm washing away of boredom from your homework you had due in a few days. You decided to get it done so you wouldn’t have more work but here you are not understanding physics on a Thursday night. You were clicking your pen trying to figure out a question when your phone rang. It was your boyfriend, Joe.
“Hey Joey!”-you
“Hi baby! What are you doing?”-joe
“Well, I’m trying to figure out a question to my really boring physics homework, you?”-you
“Haha, well I’m just on my way back from practice and I’m in your area and I want to see you.”-joe
“Well, how about I meet you down in front of my building in a minute? Are you close?”-you
“I am actually, I’m looking at your window right now.”- joe chuckles
“What!”-you
You stormed off your spinning chair and to your window over looking your campus and your college park. The only person you see is Joe. He looks up at your window and waves.
“Haha you weirdo! I will see ya in a minute.”-you
“K! I will be here waiting.”-joe
You ended the call and quickly grabbed your coat before opening your door and running down the stairs to the front door. As you open the big glass doors the night crisp air hits your face instantly sending chills all through out your body and making your cheeks rosy pink.
“Hey you!”-you
You ran up and kissed him
“So, I’m kind of craving ice cream, want to go get some?”-you
“Y/n,it’s 40 degrees outside.”-joe
“Ok, then we will get hot chocolate too!”-you
“Haha, fine.”-joe
“Yay!”-you
You took his hand and led him the way to ice cream shop just off of campus.

“Yep! Hows your mint chocolate chip?”-you
“Awesome! Way better than your strawberry ice cream.”-joe
“Yeah, yeah, sure burrow.”-you
He looked at you and gave a short little snort laugh which made you laugh.
“So, I want to talk to you about something.”-joe
“Uh oh.”-you
“No, no, it’s nothing bad y/n, I promise.”-joe
“Oh ok.”-you
“Ok, so I know you know that I want to transfer and get into a better program for football. Well I got an email from LSU saying that they want me.”-joe
“What! Joe that’s amazing!”-you
You pulled him in for a tight hug.
“Yeah…it is.”-joe
You noticed the sad look on Joe
“Hey, what’s wrong?”-you
“Leaving means we have to do long distance and I don’t want to be away from you.”-joe
“Oh… I haven’t thought about that.”-you
“I really don’t want to leave you y/n.”-joe
“I know, I don’t want you to leave either, but this is the best decision for you and I know you will do great things.”-you
“Yeah…I know.”-joe
“But, this is the best thing for you and I know you will do amazing because your Joe mf burrow. And I will come visit you all the time.”-you
“Yeah, you’re right.”-joe
“I will always be there for you Joe, forever.”- you
You then went in for a sweet peck on the lips
“I am so lucky I get to call you mine.”- joe
“Yeah, you are pretty lucky.”- you chuckle
Joe pulls you into his side and gives you a kiss on the head.

A couple weeks later
“You got everything?”- robin
“Yeah.”- joe said closing his dads trunk
Robin then pulled Joe into a hug and said her goodbye.
Today Joe was leaving for Louisiana to go to LSU. I was so proud of him but also sad he is leaving.
They pulled away and Joe turned towards me.
Joe instantly wrapped his arms around my waist as I wrapped my arms around his stomach.
“I’m going to miss you so much JB.”- you
“I will miss you more y/n.”- joe
Tears started rolling down my face.
“You are going to do amazing Joey and I will come visit whenever I can, ok? Just don’t go hurting yourself.”-you
“I won’t I promise, and thank you.” - joe
“Thank you for what?”- you
“For always being there for me y/n. You are always there to bring me up and I love you so much.”- joe
He kissed you
“I love you more QB.”- you
“Oh, and don’t forget to hit up the strip clubs! I heard they are a big hit in Baton Rouge.”- you
“Oh please, you know I only have eyes for you baby.”- joe winked
“Good! Testing ya!”- you laugh
You kissed one last time and he went off. You said your goodbye to Robin and walked back to your dorm. As you were walking in the park your phone rang. It was Joe.
“Miss me already?”- you
“More than you will ever know.”- joe
