you know im actually so glad that this ended the way that it did, because shiv was absolutely right. kendall was not the right person for this job. and not only was it already being shown how quickly kendall was becoming a monster just like logan was with the power just only in his grasp (the scene of him “hugging” roman??? the irony??) and how much worse things would have become with him in charge. in the end shiv not only protected herself by voting against kendall but she probably also saved both herself and roman from the continued cycle of abuse and manipulation. shiv finally broke the cycle

I don’t actually see shiv as having fully lost? she got real power for the first time to make a choice regarding the company. and she only got that vote because of her own cleverness in s3.
