Laena’s death was 100% changed so Rhaenyra’s death would look more heroic. Laena’s death was so viewers could see Rhaenyra’s death that of a dragon rider’s.
A black woman’s already traumatic death (although Laena was a white woman in the books) was changed to prop up a white woman. A white woman who slept with her husband the very night of her funeral. A white woman who undercut her daughter’s inheritance. A white woman who forced her parents to witness the aftermath of the brutal “murder” of their only remaining child perhaps days after burying her.
Laena’s death was used to make Rhaenyra look better and I will forever resent the show for doing that.
it was uncomfortable to watch laena burn herself to death while knowing she did not in the book and while i can seperate the book and the show it feels weird to have made her a black woman but to give her a much more horrific death and life in general
I'm not going to spoil you, but their first meeting is so funny because of Lucy's naivety. Her character development is like Sansa and Cooper is like her Sandor
Bleh. Not a Sandor fan (interesting character, but not a fan). But I think it’s also different because Lucy is a grown adult whereas Sansa was 11-13.
Are Lucy and Cooper supposed to be endgame? I also don't play the game. They both give me Ellie and Joel from the last of us but a little bit more violent.
Speaking of video games, have you ever seen red dead redemption? Arthur Morgan is the best!
They are show original characters apparently. The story is based in the universe of Fallout but not based on any game storyline. They haven’t met yet since I’ve only just watched the first episode, but we’ll see.
I have heard of it, but I simply don’t play video games so the most I get is when they make a show out of it lol
I decided to try and watch Fallout (although I have never played the games). Not going to lie, I mainly did so because the ship Vaultgate sounded interesting. I know it’s not canon, but the dynamic appealed to me.
But you have Lucy’s brother joking that her future husband could be a cannibal with a bunch of tumors, and if that isn’t Ghoul to a T, I don’t know who is.
This could apply to both NGNM and Wildfire and Blood. Alicent's relationship with Criston Cole is apparent. Everyone sees how close they are. Both her spouses in both fics don't like him. But Alicent wouldn't have an affair, unlike her spouses. I like to think that she toys with the idea, in another life, what could have been. She has the thoughts of it but wouldn't dare have an affair. She just can't. She's devoted to her husband. Even if they treat her so poorly.
"In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you." Perfectly describes Alicole in both my fics and, I hope, the show.
