Unfortunately that does not really sound feasible but there is one thing that can help you sail through the summer with a little ease, a pair of SHORTS. Give your regular skinny jeans and tapered trousers a break and experiment a little with the summer savior shorts.Here are suggestions on how to style your shorts, this summer. Work Place Make those casual Fridays a little more stylish at your workplace. Wear solid colored shorts with tucked in basic Henley / Round neck tee, and a belt to go with it. Boat shoes or Loafers would complete your look.

 Casual Hang-out With Friends Shorts define comfort. Wear a pair of shorts with a printed tee, layer it up with an open shirt if you want. Go for light colours and bring that cool back.

Party Going to a summer party and wearing jeans? You gotta think again. A pair of shorts work great for parties as well. Add that extra dash of style to those comfy shorts with a polo tee and loafers or a basic tee with statement boots.

When worn in the right way, shorts lend you a style that is effortless, relaxed and comfortable. Though a lot of us might not be able to wear those in an office setup but you can definitely try it out on casual Fridays and of course the weekend. So what comes to your mind, when we say the word “Selfie”? A Girl taking her pic with her smartphone in front of the bathroom’s mirror. Well that’s the most common selfie that you can find in the pool of pictures floating in the internet. Even though taking pictures of yourself has been condemned by a lot of people, when it comes to men and selfies, people are just going too overboard with their reactions. Men should not take selfies, they are not the true signs of a gentleman and blah blah blah.

> OCCASION: Not every place/occasion is the perfect for a selfie. We caught Barack Obama in a selfie at Sir Nelson Mandela’s funeral, that’s so not cool. Give it a thought.

> EXPOSURE: Take it easy with the Gym images, we know you are working very hard to get that body. And taking a selfie is like a recording your progress but, maybe you can keep that to yourself and not spread it to the world, every single day.

      Dos   > EXPERIMENT: Using the same pose again and again is boring. Try out different poses and backgrounds. Versatility is a great feature to show off, Don’t you think so?

5) WHICH If you are getting something written, make sure the spellings are correct, be careful about which font you choose, you want it to be readable, don’t you? And also if it is in some foreign language check the meaning a hundred times. 

6) HOW Tattoo is a form of body art make sure you do a research on all the good tattoo artists in the town.

7) STATUTORY WARNING: A tattoo is a form of body art, made by injecting indelible ink with a needle into the dermis layer of the skin to change the pigment. It is a painful task. Know that!

Since the beginning of time, facial hair has been a sign of maturity for guys, and even today a guy with a beard or a moustache is “perceived” as more mature, more masculine and a much more romantic partner than a clean shaven fella (even if in reality it is the other way round). So what is about this beard that just makes you look like the one with superpowers? 

A lot of studies have been done to understand the same and sadly there is no scientific reasoning for the same but still it gives you many more reasons to grow one, right now. 

1) Beards are associated with maturity, power, and higher social status by both men and women. 

2) Beards make you look aggressive and intimidating therefore lesser chances of anyone messing with you. 

3) Beards make you look more masculine and it acts as an insta lady killer.

4) Men with full beard are perceived as the protective and responsible ones. In beard, we trust.  

5) It is what is in trend! George Clooney, Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Hugh Jackman and many more are looking amazing in their beards.

Truth be told, I think Ihave logo fatigue. Now don't get me wrong. I'm by no means implying that one put their designer goodies in storage. Nor am I even suggesting you stop splurging on them. What I do have a problem with, however, is stepping out looking like a Harrods or Bloomingdale's threw up on you!

I have always believed that you don't need to dress expensively to look stylish. And this is especially true for guys. My already sore eyes cannot handle another sighting in a boisterous checkered shirt or a pony-flaunting polo. Whatever happened to subtle sophistication? After all, it must always be about the man wearing the clothes and not the other way around.

I think actor Imran Khan gets it right on this account. When I interviewed him a couple of months back, the dapper mister was quick to tell me how his wardrobe is devoid of any visible branding. Not hard to believe, as at the time too, he sported a nondescript Henley. More guys ought to take a cue from himandgive into the charms of the Henley tee. The versatility of the Henley hasunfortunately not been exploited, as it should be. Here's a wardrobe basic that can be styled in myriad ways — you just need to have an inspired sartorial imagination for it.

First up, there's the obvious pairing with jeans and/or chinos but it doesn't end there. Layering one with a contrasting colored tee is your answer to color blocking while throwing on a blazer over one is the epitome of nonchalant cool. And why not jump on to the latest geek chic bandwagon and add on oversized spectacles and perhaps a fedora too? As always, sharp footwear plays a key role. Add combat boots for a rugged macho look or turn to oxfords for a refined touch. Either way the look is bound to be a winner.

Still not convinced? Well, the dreamy Ryan Gosling has given this closet classic his nod of approval many, many times(so there's the guarantee that the look is a hit with the ladies!).So go ahead and un-collar yourself too. Enough said.

In each of my travels I also get to meet interesting people and am never ceased to be amazed that each person is so different and has such a diverse range of interests. Recently I met with a marketing head of a hotel chain who mentioned to me he had a passion for music and was the lead singer of a band. He also went on tell me that it was through his music that he met with the love of his life whom he was now married to! Travel also has a way to teach you new things and push the boundaries of what you think you cannot do. Going on endurance treks for instance can be fulfilling in more ways than one. I also believe that to make the most of your travel you must plan. With the Internet being available everywhere from your laptop to your phone, it is not hard to know more about the place you are going to visit. I for one always look for options off the beaten track to know the place beyond its surface. Even if you want to do the touristy trail it makes sense to know what you want to do and places you want to see so that you can ensure you make the most of your travel. Also while am at a new place I always ask a local on what are the different and unique ways of exploring a place. Chances are that you will find out a local secret or two – whether it is an eatery or a shopping destination. I also always visit a local market as opposed to fancy malls that are like clones across cities to get a feel of the local culture. Food is an integral part of travel and sampling local cuisine is something that must not be missed. Whether it is Chennai's softest idli's at Murugan Idli or the large Rajasthani thali at Jaipur's LMB food makes your travel fulfilling. Travel is always about an experience that is personal and gives you memories to cherish for a lifetime. So what is your travel experience like? Men in Chinos

In my experience, guys and fashion don’t always gel. And I meet A Lot of people in the fashion industry, day in and day out. Sure, men folk are making an effort to be seen as ‘presentable’, and ‘up-to-date’ these days but things haven’t really changed as much. How many men you know are truly comfortable with the idea of flaunting a neon pink shirt or a lemon yellow tie? The prime concern for a guy is that he will come across as effeminate, if you know what I mean, and those who give a damn have my salute!

In a situation like this, where men want to be seen as trendy but not toe an imaginary line either, chino pants always do the trick. Chino pants are made out of thick cotton fabric, so its density puts guys walking the fashion fence at ease instantly. Once they feel comfortable with the fabric, it’s the colour palette that draws them even closer to this fashion boon. Most store racks have chino pants in solids and deep hues like olive green or a burgundy. A guy who wants to play it absolutely safe can opt for one in shades of beige. As for a guy who does not think beyond black and brown, olive green and burgundy are like making a Big Statement. At the same time, it’s the depth of the colours tell the guy that he will gel in the crowd and yet stand out. Get the drift? Of course, if he wants to experiment, there’s no dearth of chinos in sky blue and lemon green, among others.

Again, some chinos have a straight cut while some come with a slight bulge at the hips and pocket area and taper at the bottom. A guy who wants to introduce his wardrobe to a little bit of style, can consider a pair of tapering chino pants in olive green. Pair it with a plain white tee and you’ll feel like on top of the world.

And girls, since you probably understood the above chino dissection better than most guys would, make sure you guide him accordingly, the next time you accompany him for ‘pant shopping’.
