why do we never see Sean in the cast pictures/videos?? Like it makes me really sad that he’s not being included as much as the other cast members and even his character gets overshadowed by Grizz and I need us all to give Sean Berdy some more love

It’s Capitalism’s fault
broke: it was eurydice’s fault for choosing to go to the underworld without thinking of the consequences
broke: it was orpheus’ fault for ignoring eurydice and turning around on their way out of hell
INCREDIBLY woke: it was neither of their faults just the cruel work of fate

hot take: excusing adopted sibling incest in pop culture because the characters aren’t “actually related” is problematic as hell because it perpetuates the idea that adopted kids aren’t part of the families that they’ve been adopted into

Maybe another reason people don’t compare Nabiyah, T.V., and Eva is because, realistically, these kinds of conversations tend to be about who did it better / who is miscast/ hurtful insults against one actor. I haven’t heard any Citadel audios, but I know that Nabiyah and Eva both fucking kill it as Euridices. While I don’t spend a lot of time comparing them, I do spend a lot of time listening to their songs, because they are AMAZING!!! Considering how rude comparison often seem to get, I’m glad Euridices comparisons aren’t a major discourse. These women are all fantastic in their own right!!! While I’d be interested in hearing peoples thoughts on how the role of Euridices evolved, if the likely outcome is people would making it into a pissing contest of who’s better, I don’t want any of it.
Your opinion on the whole Reeve vs Damon Drama and why nobody is comparing Eva, T.V and Nabiyah like that!
ooooo im here for the tea tonight!!
I think that a LOT of the Reeve hate comes from people who joined the fandom before or during the citadel production. I’ve listened to audios and I agree, it was rough. But one thing is that people change and improve and change over time. If you listen to some of the audios from the newer dates in London you can really see what I mean. I really like Reeve now but if he never got the chance to improve from Canada, then he would only be known as that Orpheus that wasn’t very good. I made a big long post about all of my opinions on the changes and Orpheus and stuff so read that if you want lol.One thing is that there haven’t been a whole lot of Eurydice changes. There have def been a few but Reeve and Damon are TOTALLY!!!! different in their characterizations of Orpheus and so much of that doesn’t translate in Eurydice. But the real tea is, and i mean this in the most controversial way, I don’t think people compare Eva, T.V., and Nabiyah like that because they don’t care enough about them like that!Like don’t get me wrong, I love Damon and Reeve So Much but they’re boring white boys and those contract so much love in fandom circles. Not going to call racism or misogony or anything because this is fandom and maybe that’s a little extreme but WoC get so little recognition in fandom circles and their ships, struggles, interests, and even characterizations in general are overshadowed by white boys. Please don’t mob me but I speak the truth here. That being said, if anyone wants me to compare and contrast the similarities and differences between Eurydices I totally will.

It was an ordinary day in the Broadway fandom:
The “Comet” fans were acting superior to the “Dear Evan Hansen” fans for somewhat hypocritical reasons, the old school Broadway fans were singing songs that nobody had ever heard in their lives, the slightly-later-old-school Broadway fans were comparing Andrew Lloyd Webber to Sondheim (while really everyone knew who would come out on top) or else performing songs from “Les Miserables” in small groups (and shipping Les Amis), the comparatively obscure Broadway fans group-analyzed “Next to Normal” in earnest tones, and the “Hamilton” fans, “Be More Chill” fans, and “Heathers” fans were sitting in a circle, occasionally welcoming an “In the Heights” fan to sit with them.
Meanwhile, in the room’s back corners, the “Lightning Thief” fans were jamming to “I’ll Put You in Your Place” and “Lost” while the “Hadestown” fans searched for missing songs.
