Parasite body horror isn’t uncommon on this site, and while I would not classify Ganon as a parasite, it’s kinda the same ideea, methinks.

Picture yourself in this Astor’s shoes. You devote a good portion of your life, most of it actually, to this supernatural being of legends. A great evil that for some reason promises you, a nobody, glory. And you belive it. And you allow it in your mind, without trully ever knowing what it actually wants. Your head hurts, you have the worst headache you ever felt. And suddenly a third eye forcefully grows out your forehead.

You can’t use it. You can’t make it blink, you can’t see with it. You can’t use it. But you can feel it move, blink, look around. It’s not you, it’s something else that lives in your head now. This supernatural being, your master, can now talk to you directly in your head. It can watch all you do whenever it wants. It can punish you with more headaches, visions, whatever it wants. It warps your thoughts, your desires. You don’t have privacy. Your flesh is the home of another being far greater than you.
