Since then, Bruno cut out himself again, but that time was different: he didn’t talk at all unless someone spoke to him; he didn’t meet anyone’s eyes, especially Alma’s; he skipped meals and locked himself in his room for days, weeks… he was out of control.
But with his nieces and nephew, he was a completely different person: he was always the storyteller, the magician, the artist and the best uncle ever, he was just a little bit more absent. Otherwise, even the children noticed that their tío Bruno wasn’t well and they always asked Julieta to give him an arepa to heal him, and every time her eyes became wet.
Pepa and Julieta had tried too many times to talk with him to fix up something that they didn’t realize to be that broken, but Bruno always knew a way to escape.
One night, Pepa had a nightmare and decided to go into the kitchen to make herself tea; there she found her brother with a mug of hot chocolate. She immediately run silently to Julieta waking her up because that was the perfect moment to talk with him: the kids were all sleeping, their husbands were snoring for quite a while and their mother… well, their mother never went out of her room during the night.
They talked, or at least they tried to.
How Bruno grew up distancing himself from the family and cutting his life down; a strange voice came to his “help”…

Encanto + Pokemon 2.0
Ok sooo I asked you recently on my IG Story what kind of pokemon Madrigal triplets could have in the world of Encanto and Pokemon mix ... and I found that since there are 3 triplets, just like starters, it's a perfect match! And that's why I went with colors - green pokemon for Bruno, orange for Pep, and blue for Juliet. But after a while I changed my mind and decided to give them starters from the newer game Pokemon Legends: Arceus. I found them to be quite suitable for children, which is why they have Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott.
In turn, I came to the conclusion that the first generation primers fit the three oldest grandchildren of Madrigal. Isabela gets Bulbasaur, Dolores Charmander and Luisa Squirtle. Don't you think it's better? Btw in the second picture in this post you have the first idea that I gave up in the process, you know.

Yeeey dark skinned Ariel who apparently only irritates people because she exists 🌟 But seriously, I am irritated by how many people have a problem with the fact that the made-up mermaid from the movie does not look like 1:1 like in the animation from over twenty years ago. Personally, I remember the times when people complained that at The Lion King, Disney didn't change anything, but as it did now - still some people have a problem with that. Don't tell them this, but in the REAL original, Ariel had blonde hair, committed sui***e at the end, and ... her name wasn't even Ariel. Oh and my opinion surprised even me, I don't like live actions in general, but this slightly scary atmosphere is very interesting. And I'm waiting for Sebastian sooo yes. I'm waiting for the movie with the little mermaid.

Encanto + Pokemon Because why not? Yes, this is random but after three depressing comics it's time for some comfort! I love "Let's go Eevee / Pikachu" so why not add it to Disney. And who's better to own Eevee and Pikachu than Mira and Milo. And yes, one that Mirabel has is shiny because it's as unique as she is. 🌟 And a little sweet bonus - let's admit they got these Pokémon for their fifth birthday from their uncle Brunooo. Every trainer has to start somewhere, right?

3/3 "My name is ..." (Last, I have to admit, it was quite heavy and I'm not sure if I'm completely satisfied with the last panel. But I wanted to add, probably a little bit of comfort anytime soon.) 🫓 Juliano was the eldest of his siblings and foe him - it was very troublesome. After all, imagine that you want to be responsible and helpful, but all the time you are either standing in the kitchen or at the stall and watching the worst medical cases with a fake smile. Your brother says he hates you and your little sister has to protect you from your own father. A father who sees only imperfection and problems in you, and who has a hard hand and control over your head. But you're weak so you just stay in this reality until you break. Well a real man should stay and face his problems right?

It's literally my favorite Modern Madrigals AU! I love the details and dynamics of each character 🥰
Disney modern au
So, I got a bit inspired by @alloutdisneyfan and their Hyper Pop AU, and thought; "Hey, maybe a Disney crossover, but then in a modern AU, would be nice!", and here we are!
Let's start with the Madrigals!
The Madrigal family lived in Colombia, in a nice town close to the capital city Bogotá.
Alma, the matriarch of the family, was retired from her job as a school council member, and focused her time on making sure her grandchildren have successful jobs. She didn't always have it easy though. Alma fled her hometown with her husband Pedro and their three newborn babies from the political conflict in their country, and Pedro unfortunately lost his life in the process. Being in an unknown town without her husband, Alma vowed to make sure her children would get important and high paying jobs so that their family's status would remain high and respected.
Julieta, the oldest triplet, was a nurse in the biggest hospital in Bogotá. Despite having been pressured by her mother to enroll in medical school and working in a medical field, Julieta loved her job. But while she was often busy with her work and taking care of patients, Julie would always make time to make and cook breakfast and dinner for her family. She would eventually marry the love of her life, and have three daughters.
Her husband Agustín sold honey in his shop, and it was well-liked by sellers and visitors. Before his current work, Agustín was a part-time pianist and often played in local coffee shops and restaurants. But Alma didn't approve of his job, and told him that he needed to change to a full-time and respected profession, otherwise she would't let him marry Julieta. Agustín agreed, and quit his job as part-time pianist with great sadness, but he enjoyed his current job as well. He would eventually have three beautiful daughters with his beloved wife.
Pepa, the middle child of the triplets, was a well-known TV weather reporter. She was well loved by viewers and colleges, and her job payed really well. Pepa would eventually marry her beloved husband, and have three children with him.
Her husband Félix was a beloved dance teacher who taught his students South-American dances. His students would be from all ages, from elementary school kids to elderly people wanting to live their lives to the fullest. He would of course marry his lovely wife and have three children with her. When their first two children were born, Félix was a stay-at-home dad and looked after them until they started school while Pepa worked. But when their youngest was born, they gave him to their youngest niece to babysit for the day whenever they both worked.
Bruno, the youngest triplet, had dreams of becoming a writer for theater plays or films. But Alma didn't approve, and demanded him to enroll in law school and become a layer, or at least a well payed and respected job. Bruno refused, but he got pressured and judged for it by his mother, Pepa and their friends, saying to just give in and that he would get nowhere in the arts. At some point, Bruno had enough, and moved to the US in search for better opportunities for his future, away from his family. He basically got shunned anyways after “ruining” Pepa’s wedding, so why not chasing his dreams away from them?
Isabela, Julieta's oldest daughter, was a florist working in a flower shop owned by one of Alma’s friends, and was looking forward to own the shop one day. She was well loved by clients and the shop was quite populair. At first, Alma didn’t approve to Isa’s desired job choice, and wanted her favorite grandchild to be a model, but one of her friends was looking for employees in her flower shop, and Isa really wanted to work around plants and flowers, so Alma approved. It surprisingly paid well, which both Isa and her Abuela were happy with.
Dolores, Pepa’s oldest child and only daughter, worked at a populair clothing store of a famous brand. She also attended a bookclub with her friends on the weekends whenever she had time. Dolores was also engaged to her long-time boyfriend Mariano.
Luisa, Julieta’s second daughter, was working at Bogotá’s local gym and was a personal trainer for elderly people. She would also help her Abuela, parents or Tío and Tía with chores around their respective houses whenever she could.
Camilo, Pepa’s second child and oldest son, was one of the most populair kids in high school. His jokes and pranks would make everyone laugh, he had lots of friends, and quite a few girls had crushes on him. Camilo was in the school’s drama club and aspired to become a famous comedian, which Alma approved of.
Antonio, Pepa’s youngest child and son, was only 5 years old, and was barely in elementary school, but he already knew he wanted to take care of animals when he grew up. He was the baby of the family, and everyone gave him attention, especially his parents and older siblings.
But Mirabel, Julieta’s youngest daughter? She didn’t feel special like her family. She had nothing to offer, and her peers and even her Abuela, Tía and oldest sister let her know that. Mirabel often got bullied in school for “being awkward” and for liking embroidery, and her primo didn’t bother standing up for her. Julieta, Agustín and Luisa tried to comfort her, but they were busy with their work most of the time. Mira felt like she couldn’t do anything other then having to babysit Antonio whenever her Tía and Tío were working or went out, which she had to do since she was 10. Mirabel did have dreams of going to the US and becoming a fashion designer, but Alma immediately shut that idea down, saying that she wouldn’t get anywhere in that field, and that she should be more like her successful mother and sisters. Mirabel was quite saddened by this for awhile, and considered giving in to her abuela’s demands and become a therapist instead, but then Bruno reached out to her, and the two began talking in secret. Mira told him about his dreams of moving to the US and becoming a fashion designer, and he fully supported and encouraged her to go through with it. At least Mira had someone who supported her.
I really want to do a modern AU for other Disney films as well, such as Lightyear, BH6, maybe Raya. So send me some ideas!

2/3 "My name is ..."
(Since you liked it with Pepe, I decided to do a follow-up mini comic with my  GB AU!)
Bruna has been her father's favorite for as long as she remembers, but as she grew older, she began to notice that the pools of positive qualities he could tell about her did not sound like her. In fact, from an early age, the little girl realized that bent truth is pleasant and gives us the opportunity to feel better, especially when the truth was unfavorable. "Your future turned for the worse because you wanted to cheat destiny and get to know it too soon" she always defended herself when the townspeople were angry with "false visions". But the visions were real, it was Bruna who lost herself in what was more pleasant, not real. The problem is that if you're lying all the time it's hard to stop, especially when a fake hint of you is perfect.

Been reading up on your GB AU and I'm curious about how the grandkids are affected? Like, after Bruna goes into the walls does Almo try to have Camila locked up?? And Almo's opinion on Mirano's sewing thing... does Mirano maybe lean more into the accordion, which is perceived as more gender-neutral? And what about Isabelo, how does his character change? I'd imagine Luis is the golden child here instead (Super Strength™️!) but what is Almo's opinion of Isa and his flower powers?
Sorry for so long with no answer! I will answer these questions in a separate post soon, in general I plan to change the names of 3 characters from grandchildren so … please wait a moment!

Honestly if Pepe is this bitter against his sister I can just imagine the fight if she told him on his wedding day that it looks like it going to rain. Then to make it worst he is seen as the bad guy. I think at that point he might actually physically fight his sister.
You see, Bruna grew up in the belief that she was better than her brothers and her character was therefore different from Bruno. She knew that if Pepe got into trouble with Almo, Juliano would have moments of peace, so she'd screwed him up on purpose.
Even if she wanted to be nice to Pepe once, in this eyes his sister just wanted to ruin his day, perhaps one of the few when he was in the spotlight, I'm sure he would just snap. I don't think he hit her, all children's fights definitely ended badly for him - no matter who started, so he had a code that he couldn't do it. But a lot of unpleasant words and a big hurricane are definitely another matter. I think the person who could physically touch someone was Almo who brought his son to his senses with a slap tho.
Add to the fact that probably the conversation between Bruno and Pepe was supposed to be private, so he turned out to be the bad guy in the eyes of others. And then it rained all the time.
I think in the movie that Pepa and Bruno didn't talk about the wedding day was a plot hole … but here it really doesn't surprise me. It's a miracle if they talked at all.

1/3 "My name is ..."
(A little comic about Encanto Genderbend! ⚡️ ) Pepe is a stereotypical middle child, he completely disappeared in the shadow of little his sister, who was idolized by her father, and in the consequences of anger at his older brother, which Almo showed all the time. He hated that he had to keep an eye on Bruna or carry things around Juliano's stupid booth. Or at least he had to be for everyone in the village, with no time for himself and the need to control "his clouds" - as his father kept saying. And the worst part was that, as he moved away from his siblings over time, they grew closer even if they saw each other less during the day than Pepe saw them. In the end all the bitterness in him could only grow.
