You remember how I told everyone the plot of Season 2 before it aired?
(Everyone tries to remember and then shakes their heads.)
That's right. I didn't. I spent several years going "wait and see". And you waited and you saw.
I'm not going to reveal any of the plot of Season 3, either. So there's really no point in asking me to make things happen, or to tell me what you do or you don't want to happen. I'm not going to.
It was a beautiful night. The stars in the sky were as bright as they could be and the moon lit the ground below. It was quite a peaceful night
"Please! I promise I'll be good! Just let me go back!"
A sobbing voice yelled up to the sky. And the sky responded:
"Sorry son, you know the rules I made! Look at yourself! Much too demonic to be in heaven. What do you think the Almighty would say about you?! You must stay out! I'll let you know when you're allowed back. Goodbye now Adriel!"
"No, no, please!"
Adriel looked up to the sky with his golden eyes and put his hands together, as if he were praying.
"Please come back.. I'll be good, I promise.."
But no one responded
The small hybrid sat there, quietly sobbing to the night sky. When he finally looked around he realized that he was on earth.
He was sitting in a large field, surrounded by small flowers. Little bugs flew through the air around him.
It was glorious, but all of that glory was drowned out by Adriel's overwhelming grief. He saw no beauty in being cast out to a planet no one seemed to like. No beauty in being hated.
He stood up and turned around, his back to the moon that shined down on him. His wings slightly tucked in and his tail hanging low. Tears continued to stream down his face as he silently prayed in his head, though it made his head hurt a bit.
Lord, I stand before You in humble submission and pray that in Your mercy and kindness You would help me to simply let go of all the fears and worries, problems and doubts, guilt and disappointments that seem to be filling my heart and mind so often...
He prayed like a human
*Amen.*
His first time on earth and he couldn't even cherish it.
Silly (sad) little story about my OC Adriel and his first time seeing earth.
I think people should be very careful of the asks they send you.
Like, this is more-so rambling into your ask box than anything, considering how many asks you have, but y’know.
People can be really excited about a theory or idea they have, they hype it up, get themselves all in on it, and then do the most foolish thing ever: send you an ask about it.
Because isn’t there some sort of thing where, if an author/show runner/etc ends up consciously or subconsciously using a fan’s theory or idea, there’s a chance they could get into trouble with lawsuits or something?
So by sending you an ask about a theory or idea, it makes it less and less probable for it to end up becoming real.
In the resurrection episode, Aziraphale asks Crowley to stop time -- why doesn't he have that ability? And are there miracles he can do that Crowley can't?
So I went to read the Kids Online Safety Act, thinking that it couldn't possibly be as bad as what people are making it out to be, I mean I'm a lawyer and expert in statutory interpretation, it can't be that bad, right?
Oh no. KOSA IS that bad. It will literally eradicate queer people online.
The bill says that a "covered platform" - broadly defined as "anything on the internet a minor might use" which is literally the entire fucking internet- has a "duty" to protect minors from anything that might harm them, including "sexual exploitation" and other undefined terms
It also gives state attorneys general the ability to sue to enforce it.
So here's exactly what's gonna happen:
Wacko republicans, as they've been doing with increasing force this year and last, are going to sue any and every website in existence, saying that the mere existence of LGBT people online constitutes sexual abuse of minors. And websites are gonna be so afraid of not doing the most that they'll just axe all LGBT everything.
Like. Republicans have been calling all LGBT people groomers and child molesters for years. The lead Republican literally admitted this bill will be used to attack trans people.
This bill is BAD bad. I'm appalled that democrats are lining up behind what is clearly a republican Trojan horse to eradicate LGBT people from the entire internet.
Hi dad (yes, we brazilians call you like that, live with that), can you tell me how to not be afraid? I'm a scared person, I'm scared of the future, of myself, of what People will think about my sexually as a bi aroace woman, of the world, of love and so many things.
How do I get fearless?
Fearless doesn't mean you aren't afraid.
Fearless means that it doesn't matter how scared you are, you do what you have to do anyway.
The Metatron thinks Aziraphale is dim, and we know it because he says it to Aziraphale’s mirror character, Muriel - Muriel, who is essentially Aziraphale before he and Crowley met. They haven’t learned yet, haven’t grown, haven’t expanded their mind to include humanity’s quirks and whims, haven’t even had a cup of tea. They haven’t had a chance to work out their own side, to gain a new perspective on Heaven and Hell’s flawed system. But they’re curious, there’s that glint there of something more, they just need a helping hand.
We’re meant to see this parallel, right down to the tartan in Muriel’s outfit, because it’s important! Because it lets us read between the lines. It’s Muriel who takes Crowley to heaven to snoop, and they don’t stop him even when they learn that they’ve helped a demon. It’s Muriel who comes to the bookshop dressed in a facade of authority - it’s pretend, it’s not real, just like the Metatron’s offer to Aziraphale later on. It’s Muriel who admits to Crowley that it’s lonely up in Heaven at their little desk. It’s Muriel who seems so genuinely pleased to have helped Aziraphale’s grumpy friend and isn’t afraid of him at all. It’s Muriel who is entrusted with the bookshop once Aziraphale is gone, quite literally taking Aziraphale’s place. It’s Muriel who is a scrivener, and part of that job is to copy (read: follow the same trajectory as Aziraphale and Crowley). In all these instances, Muriel’s role is Aziraphale-shaped.
I think Muriel will be so instrumental in S3, and Heaven and Metatron’s error is underestimating them just as they have done with Aziraphale. We can infer Metatron’s true feelings and attitude towards Aziraphale - and by extension, angels in general - by the way he so easily insults and dismisses Muriel. They’re insignificant, there to serve a purpose, tools for Heaven’s plan.
But Aziraphale and Muriel are both far from dim, and whether they’ve loved humanity for moments or millennia, I believe both will play a big part in saving it.
based on this idea I had of aziraphale using the book of life to reinstate crowley as an angel but accidentally making a new twinkliel instead🧍
