THE LION AND THE WOLF / NEW RELEASE & LAUNCH SHOW / BRAINWAVEE
The sixth and final release in the 2013 tape club comes from The Lion and the Wolf, tape is ltd to 50 and is also available as a download.
It contains some covers, some new tracks recorded in a full band capacity for the first time and an acoustic demo. We love Tom and this is a great way to wrap 2013 and kick off 2014.
1. GHOSTS ON TRINITY (album version) 2. RUN WITH US (theme from The Racoons) 3. EVERY LITTLE THING SHE DOES (Our Time Down Here cover) 4. TANGLED TAPE (album version) 5. NOVEMBER SAINTS (demo version) 6. LAY OF THE LANDFILL (Kerouac cover)
Stream the first side of it, and also pre-order from https://feliciano.bandcamp.com/album/the-lion-and-the-wolf-time-on-my-hands or do it via feliciano.bigcartel.com and pick up some distro stuff at the same time. We did a session with 7bitarcade at Southsea Fest (what a day!), watch Tom playing two of the tracks acoustically from that session here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFRmT8uAXZs
The release show is also the launch of Brainwave which is a collective formed between Feliciano, Til Deaf Do Us Party and BraintrUST - hit www.wearebrainwave.co.uk
Show is Thursday 9th January 2014, free entry at The Old Blue Last where TLATW will be playing with a full band for the first time, support comes from Leeds power-rock quartet Brawlers (members of Dinosaur Pile Up & Castrovalva) who are set to explode in 2014, plus Layers and Luke Godwin.

NEW WEBSTORE AND NEW DISTRO ITEMS
Hi.
I've given the bigcartel page a much needed makeover, which should make it a bit nicer to use. There's a bunch of combo deals etc and some distro items added by I Saved Latin, Glass Mazes and Layers with some more to follow. A lot of it is a re-write and overhaul. If you like reading the way I write words then you might just like to browse it.
feliciano.bigcartel.com
All the previous samplers/compilations have been made for free/pay-what-you-like download on the Bandcamp too and you can also now purchase the tapes and CDs directly through Bandcamp with immediate download.
feliciano.bandcamp.com
Finally, show on Sunday at the Old Blue Last, free entry, Enemies, Delta Sleep, Body Hound. SICK ONE.

HOME RUN
Quick catch up on a bunch of things as the year comes to a close. Five tapes, loads of shows, a couple of tours, some sold out merch etc. Much more to come next year, it's pretty exciting.
1. ENEMIES / DELTA SLEEP / BODY HOUND
This show is next Sunday and it's free entry. This lineup is STACKED. Enemies have had a fantastic year having released Embark, Embrace through Topshelf Records and then touring the USA and Japan. Delta Sleep playing our Easter Pissup at the Windmill, set of the day for a lot of people there, and they sold out Catch a few weeks ago for our buddies at TINRR too. Body Hound are the most recent addition to this (after Theo had to pull out), they played the Crash of Rhinos all dayer for Braintrust in September and absolutely blew minds, ridiculously riffy instrumental joy from members of Rolo Tomassi and Antares.
So, yeah, you'll dig this. https://www.facebook.com/events/226190530867986/
2. OUR LOST INFANTRY
Tapes went out last week, wooden boxes look amazing, bit expensive to post though, that's fine, buy them at a show or something. The band have just played some fun shows with The Jorneta Stream, little bit of a lineup change and are already working on new material. Say hi to me (@FelicianoLives) or them (@OurLostInfantry) on Twitter if you want to, particularly if you want a show in your town, tell us about promoters in places you live.
3. THE JORNETA STREAM
As above, these shows last week were great fun. Expect a new release in February along with a tour with The Lion and the Wolf. Say hi to me or them (@JornetaStream) on the internet (maybe even email [email protected] ??) if you live in a place where you would like them to come and play, we really want to see some new places.
Here's what happened when they met 7bitarcade at Southsea Fest, most notable for Gentile's ridiculous amp: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpxnLakbH5A
4. THE LION AND THE WOLF
This is an oddly well structured blog post, everything leads into next thing quite smoothly. Tom George (TLATW) is going to hit the studio tomorrow and then stay for ten days and record a load of music and we're excited to hear what comes back. A portion of what is recorded in this time, will make up the sixth and final release in the Feliciano 2013 Tape Club. It will be released on New Years Eve, it will have some old songs re-worked, maybe some new songs and definitely some covers.
As above, will be touring with The Jorneta Stream in February, where you want them? (@TLATWuk)
5. GHOST TWINS
Working on an album, check feliciano.bandcamp.com for some new (and old) material. Here's the video to Unknown Animal:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjaXwdJk-kk
6. DISTRO
Ok, this kinda warrants its own post really. If you came to the merch stand at any of the shows last week or to the stall at the punk rock record fair last week, you may have noticed some CDs that I didn't directly release. This is a fucking no-brainer, the more I release, and the more shows/tours we're on, there is just more of a platform to sell stuff. I'm not going to start purchasing loads of vinyl but if bands we already work with on shows or whatever are self - releasing music in some capacity, it would be nice to help them shift a few.
CD releases by I Saved Latin and Layers have been available at the shows and will shortly be on the Feliciano bigcartel too (combine some postage orders like). It's an easy thing where I'm covering costs and money from sales are going back to the bands obviously. Get in touch if you'd like to know more or be involved, e-mail [email protected] and put Distro in the subject please.
7. 2014 / NEW MUSIC
This is all going to change quite soon, there's a few of us who have been getting together and talking about how we can make this better for us, and for everyone else. We are really, really excited. If you're in a band and read this stuff, even if you live nowhere near London, now is definitely, definitely the time to get in touch, even if you just wanna say hi and be on our radar. Not everything gets replied to (really sorry, I'd love to) but everything gets acknowledged. Feel free to bug me as much as you want until I reply though, it does work, I promise.
Here's some new bands that I want you to check out:
BRAWLERS http://brawlers.bandcamp.com/  CHUMPED http://chumped.bandcamp.com/ ATTU https://soundcloud.com/attuband/dont-sleep-1 DEATH PEDALS http://deathpedals.bandcamp.com/

I think that's everything, I bloody hope that's everything.

CASSETTE STORE DAY 2013
No. This isn't a long post solely to defend the cassette tape, everyone has clearly taken a side and made sure everyone knows. It's mostly ridiculous and that's cool anyway. Whatever.
In celebration of the day, I've reduced the three cassettes that we've released this year to half price and still with free postage. I've even made the subscription package (you'll get six in total) half price to which is ridiculous. I'll remove the discount option when I wake up tomorrow.
Here's what's on offer via feliciano.bigcartel.com :
Hold Your Horse Is - Frimley (album) - £2.75 The Jorneta Stream - Lions & Tigers & Bears / Shucks, Folks (double EP, 7 tracks) - £1.75 Luke Godwin - Brand New Lands (album) £2.50 Subscription - all of the above now, plus releases by Our Lost Infantry, Crushing Blows and The Lion and the Wolf before the end of the year - £12
So to re-iterate, the last one is SIX TAPES FOR TWELVE POUNDS. All with free postage and downloads.
The normal prices are listed on the landing screen so you gotta select the discount in the drop down like so: http://instagram.com/p/d9YrNZqmCB/
I'll put some new release details up tomorrow with streams or whatever. Here's a Luke Godwin video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gTas9E-yuA

summer ends
Well, I sort of took a summer holiday from this. Nothing personal, you've all been at festivals and we've been playing football and I got a new job but it's fully all go now. A whole bunch of shows have been announced to take us through to the end of the year and there are more to come, full release details of other things to come too.
Here's where we're at with shows that are definitely confirmed:
Tuesday 17/09/13 - Sam Little, Home Advantage, The Lion and the Wolf, Hold The Fight - Windmill, Brixton - £3 adv/£5 door https://www.facebook.com/events/451868821587415/?fref=ts http://www.wegottickets.com/event/235816
I love The Windmill, the Easter Sunday Pissup there was one of the most fun shows I've done in the five years of doing this stuff. This show is a total no-brainer, mates and party-boys. Love everyone.
Sunday 22/09/13 - Deadverse, Without Maps, Killington Fall, 72% Morrisey - The Old Blue Last - Free entry
Another co-promo with Barely Regal so plenty of riffs and that, maybe one more band to be added. Deadverse are from Switzerland, I've never put on a Swiss band before, have you? Oh yeah, this will be the FIFTIETH Feliciano show. Wow.
Saturday 05/10/13 - Crushing Blows - Urban Bar, Whitechapel
So this is definitely happening and it's gonna be pretty special but I'll tell you more about it later. Not in this post though. Notice that it is a Saturday and it is the weekend of my birthday. PARTY.
Sunday 10/11/13 - Enemies, Delta Sleep, Theo - The Old Blue Last - Free entry
Er, you guys, this is gonna be amazing. It's a co-promo with Pink Mist, Enemies released their album 'Embark, Embrace' via Topshelf Records this year and it's so good, everyone said Delta Sleep totally stole the show at that Easter Sunday show and oh god, check out Theo (@loopsofdeath).
Ok, so what else? Well, that's not all of the shows for the year, I reckon I'll squeeze in two more. There's probably an all dayer in Kent and then there's this tour too, Our Lost Infantry and The Jorneta Stream will be loading up the van and doing a little run around at the end of October. It's mostly booked, just one or two gaps to plug in, if you wanna help with put on one of those dates, please email [email protected] - as it stands though, if you want to see these bands and can get to Canterbury, London, Guildford, Southampton or Norwich, that's where we're at. Please understand we would like to go further away than those places too.
Errrr, Southsea Fest, that's a bloody great thing isn't it. It's like where Camden Crawl is the same as London Fashion Week and The Great Escape is some dirty industry networking vibe and Southsea is just SO FUCKING REAL. I love it. Flatpack are great and they have at 5th Hants, most notably from this end, The Lion and the Wolf and The Jorneta Stream are playing it but also big shout outs to mates like Let's Talk Daggers, The JCQ, Big Fin and Noyo Mathis on that ridiculous stage.Tickets are £18 which sounds like a lot but I guess just ask Her Parents for guestlist cos they're playing too*. ANYWAY, Alcopop/BSM have a stage too and it includes Stagecoach, Gunning For Tamar, Doctrines and a headline set from Anamanaguchi at Edge of the Wedge (TINY) and I think I'm DJing after so get wow.
RELEASES
In the first week of January, we announced this tape club with a full lineup of bands to see us through the year. It's still great fun but as you might expect, there have been a few hiccups on the way. Beware Wolf went on tour with I Saved Latin, then promptly split up. Part Dinosaur are now extinct too, that's sad obviously (Beast Mode was a fucking HIT, check it on the 'Light It Up' sampler on feliciano.bandcamp.com) but we carry on.
Our Lost Infantry came into the fold when BW dropped off and that was a natural thing, the album will be done on a tape with a run of them in a 'limited edition wooden box', that will be ready in time for the tour.
PD have been replaced, I had a few ideas with where to go with that one but didn't want to be too obvious, I've got in a band that I love but who really don't get enough attention, they're based further away than any other band remaining in the club and it's a really cool release with serious crossover potential. Announcement to follow.
Not to be forgotten, The Lion and the Wolf has his own album coming out independently of this stuff and then we're doing a follow up release with different tracks, that will drop on New Years Eve cos why not.
In the meantime, head over to feliciano.bigcartel.com - tote bags have all gone and there's like, one or two lighters left. There are only a handful of Jorneta Stream tapes left though and we got in some CD versions of the Luke Godwin album, they look real nice. It's all reasonably priced too. **
Finally - NATE WEZZ. I've seen people criticise labels etc that run are by one person but using the term 'we' in blog posts are whatever. I just realised that this was never properly sorted or introduced. You may remember earlier in the year, I posted a wordy blog post about wanting someone to help out with this stuff to keep it ticking along as it expanded. I spoke to some great people about this but got this dude, Nick Wells, on board fairly promptly, he's been brilliant at helping make sure shit actually happens, cheers NW!
I'm gonna watch Breaking Bad now, I wish all Mondays were like this.
_______________________________
* I'm quite sure Southsea doesn't even HAVE a guestlist, big up that. ** It's loads of hassle for me to go to the post office on my lunch break but I'm off work on Thursday so place some orders before then please?

we've got a lot to get through.
been a bit quiet on here the last few weeks, a bunch of real life stuff happened, sorry.
1. FLATPACK 2. LUKE GODWIN 3. ECONO 4. LET'S TALK DAGGERS 5. BEWARE WOLF
1. FLATPACK RECS 3RD BIRTHDAY
If the last couple years were anything to go buy, this will be ridiculous. Free entry at Old Blue Last tomorrow. Polio, Bovine, Bloody Mammals and Without Maps are playing. Obviously, that's a lot of riffs, I'm DJing too, let's hang out.
Event www.facebook.com/events/636565553026792/ WAPS http://withoutmaps.bandcamp.com/releases
2. LUKE GODWIN ALBUM
Brand New Lands is released on cassette as part of the tape club (feliciano.bigcartel.com if you aint clued up on that yet) on 20th May and a CD release will follow shortly after. Subscribes will receive download codes next week and there will be a stream of the album on Punktastic. We hope you like it.
3. ECONO
I guess this needs explaining. I'm putting on a show at URBAN BAR in WHITECHAPEL next THURSDAY. The venue is nice and it opposite the tube station, Whitechapel is on a couple of underground lines and the overground and it is in East London, it is easy to get to.
Drawings had to pull out of this rad show which also has MUNROE EFFECT, PIRATE VIDEO COMPANY and THE BRILLIANTLY SIMPLE returning to the first team. ECONO have a bunch of riffs and they haven't played a show in about a year or more.
Event https://www.facebook.com/events/522947534439414/ Riffs https://soundcloud.com/econoecono
4. LET'S TALK DAGGERS
Rad! 17th June at Urban Bar, Let's Talk Daggers with We'll Die Smiling (yes!!!) and Grin & Bear It and one more band. Sick one.
5. BEWARE WOLF
Beware Wolf are no more and there is a replacement in place for the tape club who I'm sure you already like anyway. I wish BW all the best in their future endeavours.
