All these characters are from an RPG campaign called; Gehenna's Gates, set in the world of Vampire The Masquerade. Feel free to ask any questions!
Danya and Anselm, the destined lovers that never were.
Anselm a True Brujah cursed with true love, Danya a Ravnos with the face of the woman that once stole his heart and never gave it back.
Their relationship became incredibly complicated, he can't simply get over her, and Danya would never want to him to go away. When they are away they aren't happy, and when they see each other's they keep fighting. They are a bit like Sire and Childe since he taught her Temporis, but she is too stubborn, and they see the world very very differently. But he isn't so cruel to steal her away and love her enough to prefer her to be happy. And she isn't so pure and good to not want his presence anyway.

Rudolf and Danya are one odd couple. She, a Ravnos burden with a lot of humanity, dedicated to save the world, without spilling blood or ruling it, she is just there for the thrill of it, and to guarantee a happy ending for herself and her friends. He is an ex-soldier, a Caitiff vampire with Lasombra's powers, cursed by the horrid actions he did in war, which caused him profound pain and sufferance.
well, in short, they hated each others, then not so much, she saved him, he devoted his life to her. Rudolf can be quite possessive, especially when Danya's ex is involved.
The idea behind this piece is trying to convey the idea of their relationship, which is of love, lust, possession, but also worshiping like a not-so-vergin Mary on his part. For her, a person that was treated like she was less-then for all her human life, oh how she love a man that put her on pedestal, and how she loves her wounded, starved little soldier.

I wanted to try to animate Danya dancing like Esmeralda, which is one of her main inspirations, (shocking right? Who would have guessed) I always loved her as a character, especially her stubbornness, idealism, and kindness which I tried giving to Danya.

The last picture you post is very intriguing: it’s definitely a strange duo, what she saw in him? And why he, a Ventrue, which conspired many times against the coterie, didn’t use it, her humanity or even her mercy, against her?
Ah them. Well, Danya has a foresight power, and the ability to read minds, so when she touched him she saw parts of his life, and most importantly she saw a man that had suffered.
But also she saw that they weren’t so different. He wasn’t an highborn ventrue like many, but he was a homeless kid just like her before being taken by their respective sires.
While he did a great deal of very dubious actions, she saw how he loved what he considered her daughter (a human he adopted behind his sire back’s) and she saw de deep pain her death had caused. So she couldn’t see a calculating monster anymore.
So they became friends.
For why he didn’t betray her I can say that he wouldn’t give him any benefit at all, since they had an important common goal. Stopping the Gehenna. Danya and her friends did some incredible things, and so together they could be the perfect match to achieve their goal. But probably there was something else. Maybe he was just curious on how such a good natured vampire could not only survive in the world but become a leader and someone to be inspired by. Maybe she gave him a little hope.
He tried to give Danya a crown, and make her prince of London, but she always refused. She see herself as a person of entertainment, a jester, not a Queen. She leads because they asked her to, not because she wants to.

Another important relationship for Danya was the one with Jan Pieterzoon, which at the moment it's also one of my favorite flirt.
The man plotted against the coterie many times, till he was captured and left to die by Luc who wanted him dead for the part he played on Simone capture. She came back secretly to strike a deal with him, and save the Ventrue before it was too late. She did it mostly to protect her family and the city (knowing what the Camarilla might do) and a bit because thanks to her powers, he saw something in his past that made her soft heart be a little more sympathetic for him.
After that it started a strange collaboration between them, to solve the Gehenna that slowly turned into friendship, with the man pushing the girl to completely taking over the city, as a prince and she... well refusing. Danya will never trade all the freedom she has by being in a independent government, for all the power the Camarilla can gave.
Jan accepts her with a deep curiosity of what she might become one day.

Her character Elizabeth De Lacy is the big boss and owner of a speakeasy bar, while my character Danya is a dancer and the main entertainment of the bar.
That was the general idea, just something to play even more with our characters

This was a little commission that i did for my friend @ladyhannah,
with her character Elizabeth De Lacy and Alastor Van Hlesing, in a skater/hockey au.
They are a very fun couple, I loved drawing them for her. And it's nice to go out of the main plot every once in a while.
