World Quilt Show Florida is over and I am back home, working, packing away Christmas decorations, and tending to my post-operative patient, Ninja (who is doing wonderfully and becoming quite a pain in the fanny over her restrictions).
It will probably take me a while to sort through all my pictures from the show (not to mention, I’m still sorting through Houston!), but I had to share one of my absolute favorites.
“The Winter’s Tail” by “Shakesmeer” from the United Kingdom. Created by Marion Barlow, Janice Bebb, Jennifer Ellis, Dilys Fronks, Barbara Harrison, Sue Horder, Liz Pedley and Jackie Wigglesworth, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare.
This fun-to-explore quilt recreates scenes from some of Shakespeare’s best loved plays, performed entirely by a cast of meerkats!
It was certainly a favorite of many show-goers, and it won Best Hand Workmanship in the Innovative category at the 2017 World Quilt Show. Absolutely love this!
