That's a good point! I haven't read the books in a while but I was listening to the musical when I wrote it and that's one of the few moments (to me) where we get some of Luke's true feelings about the gods and how they scorned him and outright failed him.

Large spoilers for the pjo books here BUT

If luke makes a reference to what Percy said in the earlier episodes when we find out he is bad. I may cry. And by that I mean the whole "you are the son of Poseidon" "I am the son of Sally Jackson". But for him it's " you are the son of Hermes" "I am the son of Mae castellan".

Now people who haven't read the books won't entirely get that. But those who know what she went through to protect her son will. These two are unique parralells of each other (partly why I think the reprise of good kid is so powerful in the musical) and it would make perfect sense and agony.

SPOILERS FOR HAZBIN FINALE

HYPOTHESIS:

To be redeemed and go to heaven you have to die in hell

PROOF:

Sir Pentious kicking the bucket and going to heaven

CONCLUSION:

Some poor soul is going to have to kill people to go to heaven (most likely Charlie). If someone thinks they get redeemed and they aren't and fucking DIE they aren't coming back.

On one hand ouch, on the other the angst possibility is strong.

Like I'm a Huskerdust shipper. If Angel gets redeemed and they know about the second death thing, it could be years before they can definitely. Anyways OUCHIES MY FEELINGS

So I was rewatching ghosts as you do and during the first Christmas episode cap says "we all tried it" when Julian tries leaving the grounds.

Picture this:

A newly dead cap, watching all of his peers leave button house, watch his body leave. He tries following them out first time and gets turned around. Havers is the last to leave. He sat in the Hall for a while, processing what he had seen and attempt to defend his captain. Then Havers leaves. He can't stay at the house forever. Just imagine the captainbegging Havers to talk to him and try to tell him what happened, while the man be loves leaves the grounds and most likely doesn't return.
