A self indulgent (somewhat) edit because this Caitlin misses her Barry again.
Don’t let the non-kin Flash fandom find this because they’d probably hate me for it (sighs in slightly diverging canon).
Me yapping under the cut -
I heard these sections of the song randomly on speaker at the gym and went INSANE. It’s so us. It’s me and him.
Like 50% of this is just stuff I made up based on my kin feels and some feels with facts, not based on proper memories. Some are phrased in a way for story effect. Some are ‘headcanons’ for my canon.
“For you, I would cross the line.”
I was deathly scared to use my cryokinesis, because the more I did, the more I wouldn’t be able to go back. But then, his life was in danger, and then there was a spot that only I could fill with my powers. That leads to the next lyric:
“For you, I would lose my mind.”
Maybe, yeah, I sacrificed a piece of myself for him that day. It was the least I could do.
“They say she’s gone too far this time.”
‘They’ being Team Flash, unfortunately including Barry. Locked up in the Pipeline, all of them telling me how I was sick.
THEN…
“Baby, for you, I would fall from grace,”
Becoming Killer Frost made me lose the Barry of my timeline, but I found another one, didn’t I? The Barry that had ‘fallen from grace’, Savitar. He came to find me, to ask me to join him by his side. He was broken, a fallen hero. But so was I, at that point. We both ‘fell’.
“Just to touch your face.”
At that point, Caitlin Snow was dead. In place of her mind was Killer Frost. Caitlin had lost herself, and so Barry would lose himself to be by my side again.
“If you walk away, I’d beg you on my knees to stay.”
What if Caitlin awoke again and Killer Frost was forced to leave through her will? I’m sure Savitar thought that a lot. Even with Barry fearing Killer Frost would take over and Caitlin would leave, before that. But he’d worked this hard to get her now - both instances, so he would obviously at least beg.

SORRY YOU MIGHT BE HEARING A LOT MORE FROM ME, I HOPE MULTIPLE KINFESSIONS AT A TIME IS OKAY (I won’t overwhelm though so like this one max before a wait)
I was sceptical about kin shifts and stuff because I never experienced a distinct one per se, I always just felt this underlying feeling of ‘I am Caitlin Snow’ and all that jazz. But wow this one hit me like a truck today. And the fact I didn’t notice at first is so funny to me. I think I was in denial? Lowkey I was walking at school out of a class and my posture changed subconsciously and I was like “I’m Killer Frost” JOKINGLY in my head.
Then looking back I found that since that hour, I’ve been acting subtly different. For starters, way more confident. I had confidence before but WOAH I did not ask as many questions or feel as doubtful or wanting to be right as I do as Caitlin. I’ve never actually had a proper KF shift before (only feels) so this still feels a bit surreal to me. I thought I was just being weirdly asshole-y but that’s pretty uncharacteristic without reason.
Next, I took a risk instead of stepping out and asking to not do it due to a certain circumstance. In the past I’d always backed out in situations like that due to the circumstance being valid. But this time I pushed through and I’m?? Caitlin would not have done that. And now I say Caitlin in third person without feeling weird, but Killer Frost in third person feels weird. DAMN.
God there’s a lot more than I expected. This wasn’t meant to be this long. There’s the fact that I don’t feel like an entirely separate identity from Caitlin like in the show, but that name is not mine anymore. My name is Killer Frost. But under here still exists Caitlin Snow. IT’S COMPLICATED. Our memories are not different, but I’m just an altered state of her. I’m like an extension of her consciousness. Crap I am not good at explaining - that’s her thing. UHH bottom line when I’m here as Killer Frost could you call me that? But if I come back as Caitlin go with that - thanks Mod G! Still forever a big fan of this blog.
