I could really use some help signal boosting my shop right now. I'm a disabled artist with no other income, and I'm in a bit of a situation because I haven't had a sale in nearly a month. I'm almost completely out of money, my phone broke last week so I can't update my shop or share WIP pics until I replace it, and I'm running low on some necessary meds. I've had to ask my parents for help paying for my storage unit for the second month in a row. There are projects I really want to be working on and sharing with y'all -- like a tapestry loom I'm making but am still short a few small parts for store -- but I can't do so until I get some sales or commissions! Reblogging this, or any of my other sales posts, would really help me out
My current inventory -- which includes shawls, hats, doilies, jewelry, kippot, bookmarks, and more -- is all available in my ko-fi shop, as are several customizable options for commissions. I am also happy to take commissions and custom orders aside from those options though! Just message me if you're interested!

What was said above... and...
This is an honest ask as well... why is it okay for non-Jews to invoke Judaism falsely? Why is that not cultural appropriation?
These are sacred traditions and they are being treated as a joke... something that can be rewritten (JVP Haggadah) and fast tracked (again, JVP and teacup mikveh). And these are Jewish practices and culture being used in protests - at the same time these protestors claim they aren't antisemitic. If they aren't antisemitic, then you wouldn't be using explicit Jewish symbols and practices to make your point.
i can’t take the people (jewish and not jewish alike) who claim that it’s mean and gatekeeping judaism when making fun of the “jewish” protesters seriously. A non exhaustive list:
held a seder on the wrong day…during the day (in front of the chabad no less which doesn’t seem subtle now does it?)
incorrect hebrew written on the “seder plate” for some words…and all of the words backwards
added extraneous elements to the “seder plate” like strawberries and garlic “for the cause”
had challah during the seder
jvp apparently hosted it and those are the same people who not only think a teacup of water/a pool constitute acceptable mikvehs, but also have a large non jewish membership…including admins who’ve been caught jewfaking
used trader joe’s matzah…which is made in israel
if you can’t invoke judaism correctly for a cause then why do you wonder when the rest of the community doesn’t take you seriously…

a list of don'ts for goyim in regard to jews and jewishness
do not ever ever compare jews or a jewish person to vermin. i don’t care what the context is. it is an incredibly historically loaded thing
do not under any circumstances alter our magen david or call it something dirty or awful. it is a symbol of all jews, and if you call it something like “satanic”, you are hurting all jews
do not insert israel or palestine in conversations about jewishness or jews when it has nothing to do with either subject
do not blame the actions of israel on world jewry
do not think knowing a jew gives you authority on anything. having a jewish SO or friend gives you authority on nothing
do not think that your country does not have an antisemitism problem.
do not think that antisemitism is isolated to one region or one people
do not think that antisemitism today is harmless or dead or a “political tool”
do not ever source nazi/neonazi material for any of your social justice work. i don’t care how “spot on they are for this one issue”, if you do that, you are trash and your social activism is trash too.
do not celebrate our holidays because you think it would be a fun thing to do. would you think it’s fun or interesting to walk into a synagogue surrounded by cops on yom kippur, weak from fasting, knowing that your chances of experiencing violence on this holy day have increased a hundredfold because of your jewishness?
do not respond to accusations of antisemitism with “i bet you’re a zionist”.
do not ever speak over a jew on jewish identity.
do not erase or ignore our suffering
do not call our genocide a white people’s genocide
do not use our genocide against us. genocide is never a lesson for the victim
do not forget the various genocides and suffering of jews outside of europe and the holocaust.
do not forget that we are as subject to various -isms as gentiles. your social activism is not intersectional if you forget jews.
do not forget the jewish history of various social movements
do not forget that we are a varied people—jews are never a monolith.

The Iranian Regime is going to execute rapper Toomaj Salehi for supporting protests of Jina Amini’s murder by the regime in his songs.
Iranian activist Elica Le Bon says, “Iranians in the diaspora picked up on the fact that the regime tends not to execute people who become known to the international community. We have seen many examples of prisoners that were either released on bail or had their sentences commuted through our “say their names to save their lives” campaign on social media, using hashtags to garner attention for their causes, and even before social media existed, through getting the stories of political prisoners to international media outlets. Once reported on, and once the eyes shift to the regime and the reality of its pending brutality, realizing that the action is not worth the repercussions, we have seen them back down and not execute. For that reason, this is part of an urgent campaign for readers to talk about Toomaj as much as you can, using the hashtag #FreeToomaj or #ToomajSalehi. Every comment makes a difference, and if we were wrong, what did we lose by trying?”
