In which, Rose "Sis" Strider is your mean sister
A strict, no nonsense woman who probably has a day job as a journalist, and writes article for an online news website. She's uh, not very responsible lets say, and doesn't see Roxy Strider very often. She's too busy researching SBURB to worry about her. She's fascinated by eldritch lore, which is why she's so obsessed with SBURB in the first place- she likes the horrific implications of such a thing existing.

In which, Rose Strider is a famous movie director
The cult movie director, Rose Strider, famous for her use of horror, mind screw and gothic atmospheres. Though she's probably not as popular as Alpha Dave is, her movies have a very loyal and passionate following, especially among her fellow horror enthusiasts. Despite being a well known figure however, Rose Strider has somehow managed to keep a low profile and her personal life outside of work is a complete mystery. No one even knows where she lives. In a way, it makes sense for someone as mysterious and eerie as her to make the movies she does.

In which, you are cordially invited to become a member of the Midnight Roses. (Not really though, they're not looking for new members.
This is probably the hardest I've ever had to think about what to do with Rose, and eventually, I decided to just say f it and make her a flapper- and sprited all four members of the midnight crew at once while I'm at it. So, from left to right- Rose Slick, Rose Droogs, Rose Deuce, and Rose Boxcars. As a whole, they're more "sophisticated" than the Midnight Crew but are still criminals
Rose Slick is ruthless and determined, but impatient
Rose Droogs is more fashionable and calculating, but takes things a little too seriously
Rose Deuce seems sweet and is more merciful than the others, but she's still a killer with a fondness for explosives
Rose Boxcars, despite her small stature, is the muscle of the group who is quiet and professional, but prone to losing her temper

I think most, if not all, of the roses have that gamine charm, but this Rose in particular, with her dapper suit and gentlemanlike attitude, embodies it most of all. Of course, given what we know about Callie Ohpee, this likely isn't Rossie's true form, but she's still a dapper gentleman regardless.

In which, Rozlin holds onto a fantasy
In comparison to the other Roses, Rozlin Nitram is a little bit more nervous. Shy. Withdrawn. She secretly curses her lot in life and is convinced that her potential in life is limited. Rather than dwell on this however, Rozlin instead dedicated a lot of her time to fantasy, whether that be through her writings (full of self-inserts of course) or from role playing. She's into fiduspawn too, and is heavily invested in the lore.

In which, Rosaborn is looking to ascend
I think, in comparison to Caliborn, Rosaborn is actually mature and rational... At least, at the start. I think that- after getting rid of her Calliope, her ego and megalomania will take over and she starts becoming closer to Caliborn in terms of personality. Not that she wasn't a evil to begin with, mind, but when she was still shackled to her twin she had to be smart and sneaky. Now that her perceived biggest obstacle was taken down, she's convinced that nothing else will stop her from becoming the most powerful being in existence.

Rozlin Tethis is definitely one of the more evil roses. She rules Alternia with an iron fist and well-manicured nails. Unlike Trizza though, she doesn't want attention and does not make a lot of appearances. Most people on Alternia are only vaguely aware of what she looks like, but they all know what she's capable of. Her mysterious nature just makes her seem more sinister, and makes her Alternia a much more paranoid landscape. After all, Rozlin could be watching you. Anytime. Anywhere.
Honestly I really like how she turned out, probably one of my favorite Rozlins.

I'm more confused about what a planchette is
A planchette is that smaller board that you use with an Ouija board :) The one that moves from letter to letter. Both Rami's weapon AND symbol is a planchette.
It's probably not the best weapon, since it's very very small and not even sharp, but she'll find a way to make it deadly. I imagine she either wields one single planchette like a dagger orrrr she can duplicate it to make a lot of planchettes that she uses like throwing knives. Maybe both?

Someone left a comment on the tags of the Rose compilation I posted last night suggesting that the Roses should have slightly different names which I actually like a lot, especially so I can differentiate between the two rose strilondes, sooo have the (unofficial) names for all the alternate Roses + their chumhandles and weapons! In which, Rozlin is waiting for the inevitable
Rozlin Vantas fully believes that she's going to be culled sooner or later, and has resigned herself to the inevitable. Though her imminent(?) demise has made her melancholic and grumpy at times, she still maintained several friendships. She's got a bit of a temper and is quick to lash out at them, but her responsible nature means that she is just as quick to apologize.
Rozlin V is also a big fan of writing, and has been writing romantic stories that she posted online for a long time now. Very popular in troll wattpad. She keeps her writing a secret from her friends though.

In which, Mom (Rose) Harley connects with the past
Let's say she's a little bit of both! Mom Harley is (or was) an archaeologist, probably being the one to discover SBURB in the first place, and writes many history and archaeology related books, and even some college text books. She doesn't do much exploring herself after Roxy Harley came into her life, and has instead focused more on her writing. She's stern but loving, and prioritizes education when raising Roxy.

Rounding out the Rose as kids set with Rose English! She's endlessly curious about everything, and is a big fan of divination. Perhaps she's got a tarot deck related captchalogue deck? She can get pretty callous, putting herself and her pals at risk in search of answers and her big flaw is her inability to understand that she can hurt others without even meaning to, reasoning that she's not doing anything wrong because she's not acting out of malicious intent. Still, she's a hope player who is optimistic and determined. You can always count on her to find the best outcome.

In which, Rozlin is the repulsive ringmaster
Whatever her faults (and she has many), no one can deny that Rozlin Xoloto is a charming, affable troll. She may be evil, but to her, she's just doing her job, and all that murder and psychological horror is just a bit of mischief on her part. When he's not tormenting other trolls, though, she's got a surprisingly philosophical side, and enjoys discussing the nature of the world and everyone in it. Her ideal partner would be someone she deems interesting, as there is nothing she hates more than being bored.

In which, Rose Harley observes the stars
Rose Harley is quite similar to original Rose, just a bit kinder and more mature. She’s much more patient, and isn’t one to be snarky or sarcastic. Rose Harley lives alone on an island, with only her cat for company after her mom died. Her mansion has a large observatory that she had pretty much turned into her room. Her hobbies include stargazing, cosmic entities, and gardening.
She knows about SBURB long before she had to play it, and is the most prepared in her session.
