How to have a conversation about a topic you’re not interested in or don’t know anything about:

Listen to what the other person has to say about the topic.

Ask a question about what they said. Asking them to clarify or explain something you don’t understand is great, but any question will do. All else fails, ask them to explain what they like about some part of the topic.

Listen to their responses and go back to step 2.

Do this until 5-15 minutes has passed, then change the subject to a topic of your interest, unless you are actually interested in learning more on this subject, in which case, go on for as long as you like.

Sometimes, they will say something like “I’m sorry to blather on about [topic].” This is an attempt at a conversational dismount. You can either say “no, it was fascinating, thanks” and then bring up your own topic, or you can say “no, it’s fascinating, please keep going” if you want to keep hearing about their topic. Note the tense difference (past -> moving on, present -> keep going).

I just thought I’d write a script for this, because someone who can’t / won’t do this came up in a Captain Awkward column, and listening about topics you have no interest in is a really useful skill to have and not often explicitly taught, particularly to boys and men.

I don't understand the concept of hating "like spamming" or "reblog spamming". As someone with ADHD and hyperfocus, if you go onto my blog and get lost in the sauce enough to practically reblog the last 5 days worth of stuff I reblogged then good on you my dude my friend my bean, please keep it up I'm glad you like it have a cookie fam, you deserve it cause we have the same taste and I feel like my blog is a public library of stuff I find entertaining so enjoy the browse.

So I made it more accurately to uh my own ships? (The SQUIP art isn’t mine and a friend made it.)

I also changed the colors bc a lot of them I saw no reason for and I needed softer colors to work with bc my eyes hurt.

RiverWay RP search

->Hi I’m looking for someone to roleplay the ship RiverWay with. I can do either Jason(Broadway) or Eric(TwoRiver).

NSFW stuff is welcomed! If you don’t want to roleplay NSFW though that is perfectly fine!!

Please be semi-lit to literate! I’m not the best but I do enjoy at least 4+ sentence reply… it’s hard to move the story forward with only 1-3 lines.

Please don’t use ** for actions. Also use // or (( when talking ooc!! I love making friends and talking! :)

->Plots/ AUs<-

Jeremy Heere knows a SQUIP can help him so what about two? So he gets two Squips (Eric and Jason).. at first the two are not pleased with sharing a host and argue with each other quite a lot. However over time they begin to notice flaws in themselves. In their coding. Feelings. They begin to develop romantic and sexual attraction towards one another. Perhaps two Squips messed up coding a little bit.

Omegaverse AU. Jason is an omega and Eric is an alpha. The two are roommates in college. At first the two are annoyed with each other but very quickly develop feelings for one another.

The college AU above but not omegaverse.

Failure as Squips but instead of tossing them. The company experiments a bit and makes the two into humans. The two squips have to learn about human functions, emotions and even attend highschool. (Which ever one I will be roleplaying will be ftm transgender for this AU.) one squip was given AMAB body and the other is given AFAB.

Instead of being inside the mind, SQUIPS are androids with bodies. The androids attend school with their owners. One day Eric crosses paths with a ‘broken android’; Jason. Only Jason isn’t exactly broken and instead as broken free of his coding and helps Eric do the same. (This AU is inspired by Detroit Become Human)

Eric is a rich businessman. He’s stressed with work and spends his days in his beach house alone. Eventually his assistant, Jeremy Heere, convinces him to get a dating app and find someone. Eric agrees but originally to only to find a sexual partner, since he thinks of himself to be aromantic. He matches with Jason and the two go on a coffee “date” to get to know each other. The “date” goes well… extremely well. So well that Eric notices he feels more than just sexual attraction towards the other male.
