too scared to post this on twitter lol, but i haven’t been to starbucks since the boycott started just because i have alternative places to go, but genuinely seeing how starbucks is like the MAIN TARGET despite not being on the official boycott and also not donating any money to israel is so jarring to me?? i finally googled it myself and i knew the boycott was started because of something regarding the union, which was that they supported palestine and starbucks took that post down, but other than that they’ve done nothing to support israel? and even that isn’t necessarily in support of israel? the union simply didn’t get permission to make a political post like that. continue boycotting, that’s a perfectly good reason to boycott, but for how much people get ATTACKED for going to starbucks when other companies still have stores there and even send aid to the idf??? there’s a reason there’s an official boycott list and it’s because you guys are targeting the wrong places!!!! starbucks isn’t even mentioned in the organic boycott section of the list either. idk i just think when people mention the boycott you gotta mention more than starbucks when there’s other companies doing actual damage and giving actual support to a genocide. all you’re doing by focusing on starbucks is being performative when there’s so many better ways to support palestine.
