I wear my heart on my sleeve and it’s constantly scuffing up against things. This is mainly an author blog ( www.emmasternerradley.com) and about all things sapphic! You’ll also find posts about equality, health (physical and mental), and lots of books. Former librarian. Married to the woman of my dreams! Don’t look at things you know will make you angry. Don’t read the comment sections. Don’t look at the blogs of people who add dumb comments to posts to confirm that they’re dumb all the time. Don’t read old conversations you had with people you don’t talk to anymore. Go look at pictures of kittens or something instead. Protect yourself from negativity in every way you can.
hope you’re having a good morning! it’s a lovely day to remember that Harrow said Gideon’s name as she died even though she physically couldn’t remember it at the time
The very particular feverish genrefic #booktwitter social media pressure cooker where all these debut/aspiring authors are locked in this rabidly toxic codependence where everyone boosts and cross promotes each others books and not-technically-forced-but to basically turn themselves and everything about their personality/identity/life story into a marketing asset to build a brand but also are all very much in competition to be one of the tiny number of breakouts in a given year probably would be great inspiration for a novel though. Murder mystery, maybe.
The daughter was a spinster, a word so sharp it bleeds when touched. Spinsters are not bachelors, carefree and elegant. Spinsters are thin at the edges, full of dust and longing.
Or so the townspeople thought, even though somehow there was always another mother, and another daughter.
Spinsters are witches, and old women are witches, and single women are witches because they simply must be. Women without men must be up to no good.
not to be that girl.... but in your vid I was too distracted by the lesbian forarms and hands. like when you held that knife I just looked at the veins on your hands and the scars and the tattoo. is that wrong?
I don’t think anything is wrong as long as it’s respectful and doesn’t hurt anyone. And I’m having a tough time, so I’ll gladly take the compliment! (And hey, whatever leads to a purchase so I can buy food and more tattoos!)
It’s here, it’s queer, it’s hard to get up… no wait. That’s not what I meant! The HB copies of Snowblooded are here to be unboxed and just in time for Lesbian Visibility Week!
