People, discussions about fictional universes are in the end always discussions about aesthetics, not logic. Yes, there's just plain mistakes in stories. But not half the stuff you find stupid is actually that. Dressing about not liking something as that thing being factually stupid is not a sign of intelligence. It's a sign of being a bit of a twat.
