Feyre and Nesta were severely uncomfortable around Rhys and Cassian at the beginning. Nesta even wanted Cassian to completely leave her alone forvever before acosf. Rhys and Cassian also overstepped their mates boundaries on multiple occasions before they knew they were mates (and even after). So in the grand scheme of things, Elain not wanting Lucien or being uncomfortable around him is irrelevant if they are mates. It’s such a washed up stupid argument that is genuinely not important when you look at othe SJM endgame couples and mates 😂
ELAIN'S NOT INTERESTED IN LUCIEN 🌙
Nesta literally knees Cassian in the balls
Refuses his solstice gift
Tells him to leave her alone
Calls him an Illyrian bastard

When I first saw efellana_illustrations beautiful, whimsical artwork, I knew I needed to see Elain in their style. They were so wonderful to work with, and I’m so happy with how this piece turned out💕 I think that this poem by Mary Oliver goes so well with this artwork, and Elain as a character in general, so I had to include it. Personally, I think Elain deserves to spend more time frolicking through the woods, getting up to all sorts of witchy business, talking with the birds, and gazing into mysterious golden orbs.

Lucien is mature enough to decline a blood duel for Elain’s sake and knowing that it would put relationship between courts at risk. Because one thing that’s for sure is that if Tamlin or Eris found out about Azriel wanting to duel Lucien, there’d be uproar!!!
I think it’s wild that anyone would suggest that Lucien would invoke a blood duel.
As if he didn’t leave his home court bc someone (beron) was trying to tell him who he could and could not love.
As if he doesn’t know what it’s like to watch a lover die a (presumably) gruesome and bloody death because of Beron’s actions.
As if he would *ever* risk putting Elain through those things.

Oh really? Where’s this evidence? “Bread” and “Roses”? The colours Sarah used for her new website? The Bambi shirt she was wearing while promoting HOFAS? Sarah saying that sometimes she writes a scene where characters are about to kiss and it feels wrong, than another character will just come in that a better match? (Which literally happened in the bonus scene btw!!) Yes how wrong was I. Elain and Azriel MUST be endgame then 🤭
(Also if you guys are entitled to Elain and Azriel scenes in acowar as proof of endgame, because that’s literally the only book where they interact, than we’re entitled to use actual evidence from the author herself as proof of ours…hope that helps!!!)

And the fact that you think Eluciens are Gwynriels in disguise is hilarious because Eluciens existed LONG before even Ewriels did. And we’re still here because we are the ONLY ship that has evidence from the authors own mouth on multiple different occasions. The same author who saved literal Elucien fan art to her Acotar Pinterest board back in 2021 (acosf era), before she deleted her Pinterest account because fans were getting too suspicious.
Before acowar, people thought that Mor and Azriel were endgame and Ewriel didn’t even come into the fandom until acowar, and even after that book (where like 98% of Ewriel interactions take place) Sarah was STILL publicly obsessing over Elucien. So, you can ship whoever you want, but remember, Sarah NEVER talked about Elain and Az, but she has talked about Elain and Lucien 😂

The "four books of build-up" is lookin' a little weak atm.

This is crucially important. We know that Elain clearly isn’t over the trauma of losing her father, and Lucien was technically the last person to properly know him before he was killed. That in itself, is so important for their story together!!!
Friendly Reminder:
That Elain was the closest to her dad and was his princess. So much so that Feyre painted Elain’s portrait to be featured with their father. And that SJM wrote Lucien, her mate, as the only love interest that was able to meet him and spend time with him before his passing.
And people still think SJM planned for another person to be her endgame? Bffr.

One thing I know for SURE is that if Lucien was given the chance to fight Azriel and had the chance to win…he still wouldn’t do it. Not because he believes he wouldn’t win, but because he’s too mature for that and he would KNOW that Elain wouldn’t want violence to win her over.
My guy would be like “Nah I’ll give Elain all the time and space she needs without needing to resort to physical violence because I’m not desperate, and I actually understand her unlike SOME people…” and then walk away 😭

Sarah wouldn’t go to such lengths to show how compatible Elain and Lucien are in acomaf and acowar, just for them to not end up together. Also the fact that Elain and Lucien were completely side lined in acosf which is odd for Elain’s character. Why was she sidelined in a book about her closest sister? Why was she sidelined in a book where Azriel got more attention than she did, if they’re supposedly endgame? That makes no sense…but Elucien’s future together definitely does make sense!!!
I did not say Elain wouldn't be mc next book. Sarah's answer definitely gave the impression that elriel is next
As I'm guessing you can imagine, my answer still stands.
Before she talked of Az's bedroom habits, she told us in book 3 how Elain's mate has fire in his blood and "fucks" like it too.
Do you really think SJM would waste that on someone other than his mate? When the author herself said she shares Elain's energy in her real life? SJM would have the chance to live vicariously through a character she relates to with a Jamie Fraser inspired love interest!
Before she ever talked of whether we'd met Az's person, she told us there was someone special for Lucien and went on to reveal Elain as his mate the very next year.
On Tumblr, she called Lucien "my love" and said this of Az in a special edition of FAS:
She told us how she purposely did not have Nesta and Lucien end up together because she realized they'd cause one another more pain and Elain took both she and Lucien by surprise so she mated them instead. Using your 2+2=4 logic, she mated Lucien to someone who would not cause him more pain. That means, despite their current state of tension, they're going to have growth and healing together (authors own words). Would that not be a little odd to read about in an E/riel book? Elain and Lucien having growth and healing together yet she ends up with Az in the end? If Az can't even handle the scent of her bond I cannot imagine what he'd do watching them become closer, turning into BFFs, seeing Elain make Lucien smile, seeing Lucien make Elain smile.
As far as plots, Lucien (not Az) is connected to the things threatening their entire world: Koschei and Vassa, Beron, Spring.
Elain is connected to those things too. Because of her visions and the very obvious hints SJM added to the books.
Az is connected to the Illyrians and any future time travel plots that may be introduced.
Elain is not connected to either of those things.
"Az's journey" could very well include him being humbled over how wrong he was about Elain, Lucien and Elucien, at which point he'll have his own growth and then be deserving of his own mate at some point.
I'm curious why you'd come onto a Pro Elucien / Anti E/riel blog and send messages like this? My stance is very clear at this point so you have to know I'm going not going to agree with you at all.
