Alright, so I’m writing fanfiction now. This, I would say, is my first Real fanfiction. Cause it’s on Ao3, which as I know it, is the Real fanfiction place.
Centaurworld ending spoilers! Also it’s angsty. Further description under the cut:
It basically takes place At the ending, focusing on the woman and the elktaur. I was reading some fanfiction that basically went, “Okay, but what if she didn’t stab him!” and while I like the idea of them interacting more after elktaur’s re-fused together, I am very attached to her stabbing him. So I found and wrote a solution for myself.
I wanted to focus in on the woman’s perspective, everything she’s been carrying with her from memories of better times to immense soul-crushing guilt. I love her. Anyway.
Is it shippy? Will they kiss? I promise you I do not know. But they both have loved one another before and it shows. I would say they have yearning divorcee energy.

So Widdershins is a webcomic. I might say it’s the best webcomic. It’s certainly my favorite webcomic, and I’ve read a lot of those. I decided to do a redraw of one of its post recent panels because it’s such a momentous occasion, and the end of its ninth book.
So, with express permission from @katedrawscomics I have made this, my piece is on the left.
I’ve awoken my internal beast so if you want to hear my pitch for this comic, read under the cut:
So, Widdershins has an incredibly cool world and a really interesting magic system. It’s based around emotions being used as a way to effect people/objects/the world.
There’s a large cast that gets balanced incredibly well. It’s hard to emphasize how impressive I find this. Every character gets enough attention to be interesting and have depth without overshadowing other characters who need the spotlight. The relationships between these characters are really wonderful, engaging, and truly delightful. I just love all of them and love to see them with each other- There isn’t a single page in Widdershins where I was bored and wanted to hurry and get to the next scene.
So, along with that, the pacing is really fantastic. Each of the stories are contained in a way that makes them great to read, making you excited for the next part, but really satisfying and concluding an important arc. Some webcomics meander a bit, it’s a hard pitfall to avoid in comics that come out with weekly pages, but Widdershins skirts it deftly.
It’s got adventure, it’s got mystery, it’s got magic, it’s got some time period stuff I can’t remember cause my brain refuses to recall when any years are, but it doesn’t get in my way so it’s good.
My favorite character group is Ben, Wolfe, and Mal. Specifically Ben is my favorite character. But also, clearly, I love Harry and Sid, given I drew them. All of the characters are good. Read!

So I normally don’t do this because I do want this blog to exclusively be my art. But this is very important, and I can confidently say my art wouldn’t be what it is today if it weren’t for my friend Michel’s influence. If not because of their art on its own, they certainly prompted me to draw far more than I would have without them.
They make great work, and their style has grown so much over the years. They have such a knack for character design, filling OCs with energy and personality, tweaking, refining, Perfecting them, and generally making great work.
They have a fantastic understanding of color theory and do great things with lighting I have neither the understanding nor the patience for.
They’re a great writer and are hilarious, so if you happen to have comic page ideas, that could be an option. Please compensate them as fairly as you can for their time though- This is a stressful time for us all, and we need to be kind to each other.
Just treat them with respect, okay? This is my friend of many years.
