Yeasts on Strike!

My bio prof was discussing cellular respiration. While we were talking about yeast fermentation and baking, he goes on about yeast cells dying at high temperatures.

Prof: The bread puffs during baking because of cellular respiration

Prof: So essentially you're working the yeast to DEATH

No one: ....

Not even the class: ...

Me: So what, yeast need labor unions now?

Getting addicted to farming sim games to cope with the lack of real life social interaction is a thing right?...RIGHT?

Lewis would start shaking if he ever meets Gale

Tody: THIS IS TERRIBLE!

Builder: What?

Tody: The pinecocks are becoming an endagered species! It must be because of the poachers

Builder: *sweats nervously* well uhm... you see... about that...

Builder: *finally gives Gust the heart knot after planning a meticulous and higly planned playdate*

Gust: This friendship knot is well made

Builder: What did you just say?!?!?!?

I had to double check if he actually accepted the knot lol. But seriously, the playdate right before I gave him the heart knot was kind of surprising. The first time I complimented him about his designs under the wishing tree he said, "I know." He's a confident ass that's why I love him. But during this playdate he replied about working hard to reach his goals. THEN he says "let's hang out again. I'm not busy next week." Gust never said that before!!

It smells like character development but maybe I'm reading too much into it.

McD: Here, have 'em baby cows as thanks for fixing up the stable.

Builder: I don't have a shed...

*stuffs them for half a year in a wooden storage box*

Random thought while playing My Time at Portia:

more dialogue please <3

I've been playing My Time at Portia and I absolutely love it! I just hope in future updates they add more dialogue and quests for the bachelors and bachelorettes. That being said, Gust has a lot of potential as a complex character (he's my favorite despite how he comes off as a jerk at first), and the player has to read between the lines at times during the quests. Like when he handed you the brooch after helping QQ exercise as thanks and because he didn't need this trinket which Albert gave. It was so hilarious when I asked Albert if he actually gave Gust that brooch. The delivery was so awkward and you'd understand he was trying to cover up for his friend.

But when outside of quests the dialogue repeats multiple times. I was really sad he didn't have anything new to say when I barely survived the quest on Ingall's Mine when all the characters at the end scene had some comment on it. The only time he praised me after a combat quest was during the Rat King

I hope Gust and the other potential spouses as well as other NPCs get more dialogue and quests someday. ALSO, I'm super looking forward to My Time at Sandrock. I heard they were going to improve on what they did in MTAP, hopefully, more dialogue is part of that. For now, I'll be having fun with MTAP and romancing the hell out of Gust lol

Mayor Lewis could never

I just love Mayor Gale so much and he's a very endearing character too. He went off to war and came back to marry his sweetheart. Even after his spouse's death he still loves her and tries to be a good father to his kids. He really cares for Portia and the residents, and actually plans for the town's development. He also came running when the mine collapsed, and back to town for help.

A lot of people respect him too like Mint and Russo. The only man without a neck that deserves respect lol

He got no time for purple boxers and golden statues. (no hate on Mayor Lewis tho)

Hands down best Mayor.

I had too much fun with the horse...

So I rented McDonald's horse for the Land Run event, and thought I should probably experiment around with it.

I kidnapped Gust from his work at the Portia Bridge. And all your talk about people getting too excitable around these parts when you just want to go horse riding with the Builder. We weren't even on a date!

I love Ginger btw. She is just the sweetest! She wanted to go horse riding someday. So I took her riding to Amber Island and set off fireworks. She deserves the best.

I already have Gust at friend level so he doesn't follow me around on my playdates with Ginger. Then I thought maybe I should drop off Ginger near the river where Gust and her hang out. This happened...
