Sometimes I like to write poetry. Lately I've been feeling awful so I wrote some to let the feelings out. Here it is, careful cause it's heavy.
It Takes Two but One is Gone
It takes two but one is gone
No more singing swan songs
Pain comes and people go
Now I must waltz alone
Two to tango is what it takes
But I didn't choose this as our fate
Now one stays, they waltz alone
On the dancefloor with a shattered soul
It took two but one is gone
Yet the show still must go on
Broken hearts unchaperoned
Broken promises let go
We were two and now you're gone
It's a shame, but carry on
Bloody tears is what it takes
When I waltz away from heartache
