That feel when you made a compiler before for college...in SCALA AHHHH!!

There are three projects that I consider some of the hardest in computer science:

Compiler - Requires tons of text parsing, type system configuration, and code generation. A conglomerate of data flow.

Operating system - Build everything from the ground up. You don't even start with an allocator. Implement. Everything.

Browser - So many standards need to be implemented, it's a feat of graphics programming. Just the SVG specification is 900 pages.

Hey Tumblr! I'm currently working on a 2D point and click winter adventure game set in a haunted mansion! :) I am a solo developer, so my budget is near $0 now. Depending on various input I receive / my time, I may consider doing the voice-acting for the characters in my game.

With that being said, do you feel like voice acting would have a major, positive impact on gameplay in this case? Any input would be appreciated! :)

Bye-bye Pixel Hunts! :)

One of the gripes of point and click games are hunting for tiny things in corners of scenes -- I'm actively trying to avoid it in my game, but just in case any hotspots may be hard to find, I added some functionality to toggle visibility here by pressing the "H" key! :)
