Sometimes I feel a strong inexplicable affinity with Rhys Williams and then I realise it’s just because we’re both madly attracted to his wife

I “knew” I was bisexual before watching Doctor Who or Torchwood, but ignored it, denied it, or pushed it to the side. In my head I was both “not queer enough” or “just faking it.” I didn’t think my experience as a bisexual was valid
But after watching Jack onscreen being an unapologetic, flirtatious bisexual (who, in the words of Tosh, “shag anything if it was gorgeous enough”), I was finally able to accept my own bisexuality. I owe a lot to Captain Jack and Doctor Who / Torchwood in general for helping me realize who I am.

torchwood was SO on to something with the immortal who wanted so badly to die and was so scared to Die. An immortal who LONGED to live a regular life span and to go out heroically for loved ones and KNEW, to his core, he couldn’t. The coward turned hero who faced death bravely, turned immortal for his sacrifice and cursed to spend the rest of his immortal life afraid of dying. He died for real once and was RIPPED back into existence and its ruined him. He came back WRONG!!! FOR REAL!!! And then they make a whole season where he’s ACTUALLY MORTAL and SHOULD HAVE DIED and instead of having him contemplate the meaning of his relationship(s) to death and coming to terms with his hero-sacrifice suicide tendencies they pop him in america and refuse to tackle the fact that this man has wanted to die for 10 straight tv years and NOW HE WANTS TO LIVE???? AND HE’D LET HIS BESTIE DIE TO LIVE????? CMON!!!!!!!

I really want to tell the Doctor Who showrunners that an episode doesn't need to have "stakes higher than ever before" to be good. In fact I'd argue that the best episodes affect only like 5 people. No destruction of a whole planet/galaxy/universe necessary
