good morning. my emotions are still high after last night, but todays also my last day at my current job. I'm going to try to make it a good day despite everything.
some requests:
sign the VCU workers' letter to the VCU president asking for the students' right to protest and students' free speech to be better protected (you do not have to be a worker or live in virginia to sign)
donate to the rva bail fund
reach out to VCU, and the VCU president, directly to tell them that tear gassing, pepper spraying, beating, and arresting peaceful students on school grounds is unacceptable. (I can't share this contact info directly, but their email addresses, phone numbers, and social media accounts are not hard to find.)
and of course, continue donating in support of gaza and palestinians. donate to their gofundmes directly, donate to PCRF, UNRWA, esims for gaza, operation olive branch, etc. you have these lists of organizations and fundraisers already, donate there.
