I would like to create a character, Velvet, a cleric slime/aarakocra hybrid(they/them)
they are stealthy and mischievous with an aggressive attitude towards people they’re unfamiliar with, most assume they’re a rogue, though if you get to know them you’ll realise they’re actually a healer! Despite their aggressive nature they have a soft side, though they’d never show it…
For creating a character and stuff, I prefer having it happen of anon, so I can ensure someone doesn't do stuff with the character in a way you don't like; in this case I'm going to assume your fine with that.
Velvet worships a god of trickery, and occasionally breaks into houses of sick people to cure them. They've heard that the city lord's estranged child has fallen ill, and that the lord refuses to pay for a healer.

Sample adventure post:
The Rat Emperor, having escaped into the sewers, will send their rat kings out to explore the sewers, looking for a place to hide out, and a sustainable source of food.
Having thoroughly explored the sewers The Rat Emperor unable to find a sustainable source of food, but did manage to find a shelter. It wasn't very good though, and would need quite a bit of work to fix.
They also managed to find multiple entrances to the sewers, a rat king looked out of one, but quickly retreated into the sewers, due to the bright light, and it being quite busy outside.

Sample character creation post:
I would like to create a character.
The rat emperor (they/them) is a hivemind of rat kings, created in an experiment by a mad wizard, but they managed to escape into the sewers when he was distracted.
Being a sentient hivemind of rat-bundles, The Rat Emperor doesn't know humanoid languages.
After The Rat Emperor managed to escape into the sewers, they realized they had one problem: they didn't know how to assimilate more rat kings into the hivemind. They could however trap rats in the rat kings that were already a part of them.

Thanks again, both of you.
To be clear, this is not really a "TTRPG", but something played through the askbox of this blog. This leads to there being much less of a back and forth between me and the players, which is why the roll generally needs to be able to encode for quite a few situations.
This also isn't something the players really need to concern themselves with, but much more of a thing on my end, to figure out roughly what the results should be.
I expect the characters to be very different, so there should probably be quite a lot of space between characters of different skillets.
I don't think I'd need a lot of granular circumstance modifiers, as these are probably just things I can take into account when figuring out the results.
This seems unnecessary to me here, as I'll probably catch those circumstances and just not roll to see the result.
I would prefer extreme results to be quite rare.
I hope this helps.
I'm currently working on an online fantasy interactive table-top inspired thing (@dungnsanddragns), and need to figure out a good way to count successes. You're definitely more experienced on this subject than I am, so I thought you might have a suggestion.
To be clear, I'm looking for something where the consequences of the results can have quite the bit of variation, but it doesn't need to be very fast to adjudicate.
Thanks in advance for your consideration.
Sorry, I'm not entirely sure what you mean, are you looking for a system to check if a die roll was successful? So something like a DC or counting successes?
