Chapter Two: Raging Void - II

Welcome to Maryn's corruption arc or How to (not) deal with the corruption of your lover.
[We seek to corrupt.]
Months into their relationship, Phernia and Maryn found a Hive nest. They believed it to be forgotten and lost, so they took a couple of artefacts with them back to camp. Phernia wanted to sell them as quickly as possible. When confronted with the Hive she always wanted to run. But Maryn, ever the explorer, wanted to study them.
[Come closer.]
It seemed like only Phernia could sense the Darkness coming from them. It was much more sinister than what the Dredgens did. Or so she believed. In the end neither of them was innocent. Phernia voiced her concerns to her partner but she either didn’t care or was already too deep in.
[Bearers of Agony.]
Maryn didn’t sleep for at least two weeks. Her Ghost Issaya could practically feel the Darkness inside her. So now not only Phernia got to her but her own Ghost? No, this was Phernia’s fault. Her paranoid thoughts got her in the end. Why wouldn’t she stand on her side? She could protect them with her new powers. A cruel smile crowned her lips as she summoned her Ghost.
[I will serve.]
“If you are not on my side, you stand against me!” Maryn screamed. But it wasn’t her voice. It was shrieking and Phernia’s ear drums felt like they would bust. Head still heavy from sleep she stumbles into the chamber next to her. Only to see Maryn crushing her Ghost.
[Rise. and. Feed.]
Maryn lets out another of her shattering screams and charges at Phernia. Afraid of pulling out her Ghost she ran. But you cannot outrun your Fate. Phernia abruptly comes to a halt and Maryn crashes into her. Desperately clinging to each other they locked eyes. And for one brief moment Phernia swears she sees her Lover in those eyes. Just before they go back to glowing sickly green.
[There is no escape.]
Phernia pushes Maryn away from her. With desperation she summons her Golden Gun and aims right at Maryns heart. “I’m sorry”, she whispers. Instead of closing her eyes, Phernia holds them open and shoots.

Err on the conservative side- I'm a Sunbreaker that has been known to occasionally run banner- I pick solar.
Rise is an Arcstrider, but he can and does run almost anything and spends a third of his time on Void. I would say "two or three" because of this.
Bonus: tell me in the tags/replies if your others have the same or different preferences. (My warlock is Strand and my Hunter is Void.)

A few things that annoyed me this week first.
Stop it. STOPPP it bestie, stop! I thought we were done with this word pls we were done. We were done, they're on good terms now, stop it. I'm serious.
The Witness is not he/him!!!!!!! I don't know if this is to show that Shaxx doesn't know/care, but still. Don't misgender the bastards! The Witness is it/its only! Has been for over 2 year consistently.
