It doesn’t matter whether you “deserve” something to do something or not. Life is a swirling mass of chaos; if you want to do something you might potentially enjoy, then do it. You only have a limited number of chances to do something, each chance different. Life is only lived once, might as well try to make the experience a fun one.

Imagine if there was a wizard/sorcerer who gets overstimulated by too much magic. Sure, this could be kind of avoided by only using nonmagical weapons and never using magic, but what if they're scared of sharp objects/have very bad physical skills? But at the same time they don't want to be useless to their friends so they keep on using magic, knowing for a fact that they're going to get overstimulated.

Partners in Crime
Person 1: So, are you with anyone?
Person 2:... Why are you asking?
Person 1: Well, a woman your age should be married and have children by now! (Plus I know a guy who's interested in you and has bribed me to ask you)
Person 2: Meh, I'm not interested, plus I already have a Partner in Crime.
Person 1: Oh, so you're dating someone?
Person 2: What? No, why would I be dating someone? I already have a Partner in Crime.
Person 1: ... So you're dating someone?
Person 2: No. Again, I've told you, I already have a Partner in Crime.
Person 1: I don't-
Person 2: What, do you want to be my Partner in Law or something? I don't need one those I already have a Partner in Crime. Plus, with the "Law" part of your title, you'll probably snitch on our fun a lot.
Person 1: I- Law? Crime? Snitching? What are you even- nevermind I give up. I'm just going to tell Person 3 that the mission failed.
Person 2: [Thinking that they might be assassins in disguise] A what now?
