Still in awe of how well the D&D movie mimicked the feeling of D&D without doing anything as tediously literal as a "sitting around the table" framing device. The way some characters have names that sound like names a DM improvised on the spot, the sudden appearance and disappearance of a overpowered DM NPC for a single dungeon, the way they used the fact that characters can plausibly just mess up for no clear reason to escalate action scenes...that was cinema

I take a decidedly neutral stance on the proship/antiship thing, because frankly I think all of you are overly hostile and taking the whole thing much too seriously. That is to say - I do *not* fully support everyone's right to ship whatever. Not because it's "morally wrong", morals aren't real and neither are the characters, but because I have a deep enough hatred for certain ships that it has entered my very ideology. If I see you even TRY to put those on my feed, I won't say or do anything, I'm gonna scroll past, but I am 100% putting you on the Violent Dismemberment List. The smallest, subtlest hint of a purple-and-yellow heart and your fate is fucking SEALED.

Being into Palaeontology and Biology now means I can’t look at WoF the same way again because the amateur scientist in my brain is freaking out over how much stuff happens in such a short amount of time. You’re telling me these dragons diversified, evolved, and adapted into multiple different tribes throughout the span of a few thousand years, and at two different points in time??? Yeah right. Hell when you think about it, the history of the tribes and what they describe create the implication that it only took a few centuries. That’s insane.
