Hey folks I got the idea for a nightcrawler double sided keychain and wanted opinions, I need to get alignment better but this is just a proof of concept, what do you guys think? Just returned to tumblr after hiding after mcu namor drop and  1. love that exactly what i said would happen, did in fact happen. MCU Namor fans are looking at the comics for Namor content and getting upset when he’s not at all the same as the MCU version but still continuing to take over all tags and resources related to the character.  2. apparently namor and shuri is the big MCU ship and ??? hey what the fuck? 

you fucking weirdos.

I got recommended one too many total drama video essays on youtube and now im thinkin about my fave for the first time since like 2018 whats up

Here's the thing. The movie was great. I loved the story. Riri was fantastic, even if her suit reminded me of a certain Pokémon. That pain Shuri experienced felt real to me. it actually made me feel a little extra sad because I was watching it with my older brother, right next to me. Just like I did with the first BP movie. It was a great tribute to Chadwick + T'Challa. But man, it would've cost them absolutely nothing to give Namor his racial complexity.

Namor's heart is between two lands in the comics. between loving his people and loving who he is. He is biracial and the Atlanteans hate him for it.

So why the fuck are we settling regarding one of his most important character notes?

To be clear, I'm not mad that he isn't Asian. I'm mad that he's not mixed. I'm mad that his duality was taken from him. I'm mad that something that heavily represented so many different groups has been scrubbed from his character. Do we not deserve that representation on screen?

Further, why did they get away with making Atlantis a cultural copy of Wakanda? Their culture is obviously different, but they really copy and pasted the origin story of Wakanda onto Talokan. Could they not come up with an original story regarding Namor's wings and power? Did he also have to get it from a plant grown on Vibranium?

Fuck the MCU for that. We deserve complexity in his culture and his origin.
