“My name is Aaron Bushnell. I am an active duty member of the United States Air Force and I will no longer be complicit in genocide. I am about to engage in an extreme act of protest, but compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers, it’s not extreme at all. This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal. Free Palestine.”
—Aaron Bushnell
“The act of an American soldier sacrificing himself for Palestine is the highest sacrifice […] a poignant message to the American administration to stop its involvement in the aggression.”
—PFLP Central Media Dept.

“You simply cannot fit more America into a single incident than a man dying a horrifying death in protest of war crimes while a first responder screams at cops to stop pointing their guns at him and go get fire extinguishers. If you were to pick a single moment in history to sum up the essence and expression of the US empire, that would be it.”

“percy becomes a marine biologist this” “percy becomes a baker that” fuck you fuck you percy actually goes into the med field. idc abt ur opinion after he could be a nurse or an EMT or whatever but you can’t tell me it doesn’t fit.
percy jackson is restless and angry and wants to help people, he wants to settle down but he doesn’t want to stop doing stuff, he just want to be safe i guess. bc like he’s not about to be a lawyer or an accountant or a ceo or something, which i think is pretty agreed upon. i don’t think he could ever be a teacher just based off all the literal trauma he had and while i do believe he’s a great baker/cook i don’t think he would work in that field, just based off the fact that in the book he seems to be motivated to help people— mainly, his people, but still.
idk i have very strong feeling about this but i don’t even fully understand it lmao. this is completely my opinion, disregarding the aggressive opening, but it just makes sm sense to me
