I’ve basically been sitting around ignoring current Doctor Strange comics and living in my imaginary world where Stephen and Clea still love and each over. Excuse me as I cry.

Probably the greatest moment of my life was when I found this in a basement comic book store for $6
I want this book to be on EVERY Dr. Strange recs list...
This book just isn’t talked about enough….
everyone talks about The Oath or some other more recent work…ye okay but look at this….
I’ll be honest this one is harder to find, it’s more of an internet search….but if you stumble across one, get it.
It’s actually blasphemy that marvel hasn’t reprinted this one at all.
this one I have is from 1986 (year of publishing). so it smells like it should….old musty-book smell…LOVE ET.
sorry but I find downloads sap the joy out of everything….it’s nice to have books…i fucking love books…
This is the book that Derrickson has been tweeting images from the most.
In terms of Green’s depiction of magic and atmosphere…the images are breath taking…broody…dark and reflects an ethereal mist on who stephen is.
And don’t get me started on how this comic (should I call it that really?) has been written….it is deep…full of unfathomable wisdom and in a way…it leaves one ponding about their own life in a lot of ways….the book speaks to you like you are on this journey….yourself..
and the art work is just….I adore Ditko I really do….but because of Green’s work here….out of all my dr. strange comics…this is the most unique and beautiful….It’s the Lazy River of comic books…there is action yes…but it has grace….such amazing grace….
The thing is….this comic doesn’t read like a comic…
everything about it…down to page layout to the hand written text…I could actually stare at each picture for hours….
I just feel that this is one of the best examples of how to depict Doctor Strange….the artwork is a big deal…as Strange demands incredible atmosphere….the fact that Derrickson has been looking at it…excites me….
It’s a gem in the comic industry that I feel needs more love and attention….

If we assume that he took the traditional American route to becoming a neurosurgeon, then that's 18 + 4 years undergrad + 4 years of medical school + 7 years of neurosurg residency = at least 33 years old when he finished his training and was a licensed neurosurgeon. Given that he was at the top of the field, I would say that he definitely falls into the "good way into his 40s" category.
To add in my own most tiny objection. Isn’t doctor strange supposed to be like 60? He has grey hair for heaven’s sake!
