manga spoilers also kinda ?? some spoilery concepts discussed
i keep thinking about kazu becoming a dungeon lord..
he’d be ultra susceptible too because he likes to handle things on his own and thinks he knows what’s best for his loved ones
his desire would manifest itself as his want to disappear due to his belief that all he does is hurt those he cares about just by existing so i feel like his dungeon would tamper with the memories of adventurers who enter…
“i don’t want others fo remember painful things” but it’s okay if he knows and keeps those things to himself etc.. bearing the burden of knowledge he didn’t ask for etc..
also out of all my ocs i think hes the most selfish so lots to feed on :]
if yui ever entered the dungeon though i could see the demon preying on kazu’s desire to see yui again, thus leading to a confrontation and a clash of kazu’s conflicting desires..
of wanting to be saved by yui but also wanting yui to forget about him because kazu thinks he’d be happier that way.. etc… nodding ..

staring up at the ceiling at 4am
i think it says a lot about my mental that i vastly prefer and enjoy ships where the two involved love each other and have healthy boundaries and help each other grow as people
before a lot (not all) of my oc ships were very much like. “guy doormats himself for his partner” which is really unbased when it’s like. here’s a guy who gives 110% for someone who kind of gives him crumbs or enables the unhealthy attachment or sees him as subhuman almost 💀
i noticed all of the ships i have in recent times involve ocs encouraging growth and being able to stand as individuals ; not being an accessory to each other
ik plenty of people who are hinged explore more “toxic” dynamics but i personally only delve into that area if the pairing develops from it or w/e
stares at the dev arcs for all my recent ships….. through the wringer they go but they come out the other side better people with healthier ways of showing love which is 🥹🫶

otokazu thoughts…
he probably has some guilt considering sou was the one helping out a lot at home (since their dad wasn’t around often)
he already distanced himself a lot from his mom and koharu in order to keep them in the dark regarding his troubles with his dad, but he took his avoidance to an unnecessary degree because he also felt ashamed at being alive instead of his older brother, who was more mature and “adult-like”
if there was ever something his mom or younger sister asked him to do that sou could do but he couldn’t, it would have a negative effect on his conscience so kazu likely wanted to minimize scenarios where he might “disappoint” his remaining family
