exactly. like yeah they think they’re the last few humans on the earth or whatever, but what if you just write your adult fiction characters to be actual adults throughout the book wow! also, i feel like wanda (and melanie knowing her ofc) would prefer to have an adult host so how does it make sense to write in the characters choosing a younger body TT the flow of the story was so good though. i know smeyer has forgotten about us, but if she gave us more books of The Host then i would love her forever.
re-read The Host by Stephenie Meyer and it still slapped just like when i read it in high school (even though i am now painfully aware of the book’s flaws as a 24yo agh) i always loved ian o’shea and i’m glad to see he still holds up <3 got the post book depression now lol open to chatting about the host :)

re-read The Host by Stephenie Meyer and it still slapped just like when i read it in high school (even though i am now painfully aware of the book’s flaws as a 24yo agh) i always loved ian o’shea and i’m glad to see he still holds up <3 got the post book depression now lol open to chatting about the host :)
