A little late in posting but we had an AKC Rally trial last weekend!

Both Dolly and Link earned qualifying scores—yay! Dolly earned her first Q toward her Rally Excellent title and Link earned his second. 💛💛

We have been celebrating Mr Link’s birthday since the 13th—his actual birthday. He’s had sniffaris, stinky sardines (yum..??), and lots of belly rubs.

It’s been a wonderful start to 2024! Mr Link and fluffy pal, Mochi, each earned their very first AKC Agility titles, Novice Fast Preferred (NFP), over 2 weeks, with 3 Qs over 4 days of trials!

Much thanks to @fluffy.corgi.mochi’s human for the on-course handling!!

Dolly ran the courses as well as For Exhibition Only (FEO) and was on the sidelines cheering everyone on!

2024 is the year of the Dragon! 🐲🏮✨

Mr Link had a fun last two weeks, picking up his first of three legs—and a first place finish—needed to earn his AKC Rally Excellent title at the PWCCSC Specialty in Ventura on Jan 26. Then, during his AKC agility debut on Feb 3, he earned his first AKC agility FAST Qualifying score and second place finish! He had a really good run on Feb 4 too but didn’t qualify because we took the wrong exit and didn’t stop the timer! 🤪 Still a lot of fun! We will try again next weekend! Much thanks to @fluffy.corgi.mochi for the agility runs!! Miss FancyPants Dolly also participated but wasn’t focused for her Rally E leg (dismissed 🥲) and had zoomies during her agility debut. She asked to speak to the manager to get a ribbon for the 1 point she earned but management politely declined. 🤣

Mr Link passed his NACSW ORT (Odor Recognition Test) back in Oct and was able to earn his NW1 (Nose Work Level 1) title today!

Very proud of his work ethic and drive. This good boy will get lots of treats and snuggles today.

Continuing Doggie Education (Socialization)…!

Dolly kept the lady company while the lady was working (line editing some files for work). Dolly practiced some quiet mat (“spot”) time at a local outdoor shopping mall’s food court area. Lots of people walking by, some dogs, and a few skateboards and scooters too.

Yummy treats for calmly watching the world go by…. 🐾🐾

Team “3 Musketeers à la Pembroke Welsh Corgi” earned new Rally titles last week! 😊

Our BFF, Mochi, earned her AKC Rally Intermediate title! 🎉🎉🎉

Dolly and Link each earned their AKC Rally Advanced titles. 😄😆

Ahoy, we had fun today at the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California’s Fall Match event!

We got to practice Rally Advanced (off leash), show in Altered conformation (Dolly got 2nd place!), and we competed in the “Best of Bread” contest..!!

So much fun! Can’t wait until next year. 🏴‍☠️

Wow, it’s been a while and we’ve been so busy! We had 3 days of rally trials and didn’t do so well the first 2 days 🙈 but we stuck through it and we both earned qualifying scores on the final 3rd day. 2nd and 3rd place—Yay!

It was a lot of training and life lessons this weekend. The biggest takeaway was “don’t give up!”

And, train, train, train for the unexpected. Because this weekend was def full of the unexpected. 😜😂

Thank you, SAVKC, for putting together such a smooth event. …Even if our first two performances in the ring weren’t so smooth. 😅
