something i thought would be cool to write
Dark, black smoke filled the air along with the sound of distorted sirens, making the air thick and suffocating anyone left. The ash and soot created a blanket covering the once-flourishing city, choking out the soft sunlight that tried so hard to break through.
Buildings were destroyed, with only their foundations trying to hold it together, the internal steel bars skeleton of the skyscrapers that once stood strong shown from under the concrete. Some of these skyscrapers were once homes of businessmen and women living their lives as normal, working 9-to-5s to support families. Other buildings used to be homes of said families, apartments built close to lessen the time it took to get from home to work for those busy parents. But now both lay in shambles; all those lives shattered like the shattered glass, bricks, and concrete that covered the black asphalt as if trying not to let it show.
Streep lamps and road lights were bent and thrown, some sticking out of buildings, others crushed under the broken concrete boulders. They had once guided the bustling drivers to keep them safe, though this safety didn’t last. Torn electrical cords ran throughout the buildings, coiling together like sleeping snakes. Leftover energy buzzing and sparking occasionally as they hung from the wooden poles turned into splinters.
Craters the size of tennis courts were the only things breaking through the debris to touch the once-busy streets. The wind through the streets, almost following the path of destruction, led throughout.
What created the craters was a mystery; nobody saw it coming, and there was no one left to tell the tale. Because, after all,
Dead men tell no tales.
I may make a story out of this dealing with kaiju, or people dealing with kaiju (Godzilla minus one type stuff), or someone forcefully losing humanity because of a monster transformation and them killing basically everyone but y'know, I might not idk

P.S my friend (who knows I’d do anything to wear a suit/tux) told me to pretend to be a spy infiltrating a villain’s fancy party and I was chosen for this mission because I’m really good at doing spy stuff and being able to hide in plain sight (hope this helps)
or pretend to use a disguise spell so you can trick people at this fancy wizard/sorcerers party and steal their magic gem/artifact

we all know the classic trope/scene of tinies being afraid of the giant(s) due to past experiences with giants or just the sheer size difference and all that stuff where the giant has to gain the tiny's trust over time (then the giant does something that scares the tiny and they have to regain their trust)
but where is the stuff with giants being afraid of the tinies? I'm talking backed up against the a (wall or building) trying to get away from the tiny/tinies because they've heard stories or had traumatizing past experiences with them, and the giant doesn't want it to happen again, and the tiny has to gain the giant's trust then maybe the giant is later captured and thinks their tiny friend told others about them and the tiny friend has to try and regain their trust

Carol is trying her best to keep Willow a secret from the other people in her little village (thing?)
Joshua is another character that's gonna end up being a "main character" in Harvest Thief, he'll eventually find out about Willow but he helps Carol keep him a secret
a little background on Joshua, his dad is a hunter type man that loves going in the forest (secretly looking for traces of giants after 2 were found and killed 10 years ago in the same area*) and his mom divorces his dad and left to live with her new boyfriend in California or smth
this one isn't colored (and was kinda rushed) because I wanted to get it out to yall bc I know I haven't posted more HT stuff
Joshua meeting Willow for the first time, both of them are def scared of each other
Willow is unsure of meeting another human because of his... past experiences... with humans and he only trusts Carol
Joshua is just utterly shocked that giants exist and that Carol basically adopted Willow (though he basically adopted him too because his dad kinda ignores him)
they totally end up becoming best friends tho since they're the same age (15-16)
