Actually, it sort of looked like he was pouting about something, and James tilted his head as he leaned forward over the counter to get a better look at his irritated face. “You good there, Ted?”

Teddy’s eyes shifted to meet James’, the green fading back into blue. “Yes, why?”

James arched his brow up in disbelief but didn’t push it, instead sitting back in his seat so he could look at Roxanne, who was staring directly up at the mirror ceiling like she was blatantly trying to avoid her cousin.

Freddy laughed, though, folding the rag he’d used to hit Mason. “He’s making his jealous face.”

“Jealous over what?” James asked, and Roxanne set her cup heavily against the bar.

“Merlin, they’re here finally. Delacour’s late as fucking always, yeah?"

I have returned after a mini hiatus/vacation prior to my boss leaving for a month-long vacation, currently editing the next chapter to be published today! I hope everyone is excited because I had so much fucking fun writing this chapter guys!

Thought it'd be nice to have some kind of visual representation of what I imagined Freddy's bar looked like, from the outside at least, so I looked up some pictures! (Aka I'm procrastinating. My bad.)

So the place itself was an abandoned commercial building that was previously a bar that went bankrupt, so Freddy got it for a killer price. It's three stories and basically has the look of the building below. Not decrepit or run-down, but not super fancy.

Only the first floor is a club, the second floor is storage and office space (Freddy has an office where he can do all his boring paperwork and actual business stuff), and the very top floor is a shared living space where he lives with a few roommates.

The entrance is down a set of stairs rather than the door being on surface level, so the building is built partly into the ground. It's kind of like the entrance to the Speakeasy from Fantastic Beasts but imagine it wider and with a set of double doors.

That's what it looks like from the exterior at least, and writing all that just helped me a ton. This next part of the fic is going to be pretty detail heavy so I may have to put a pin in it until tomorrow cuz it's almost eleven lmfao.

I'm at the point in this chapter where I'm feeling uncomfortably self-conscious about how the flow is going, so I have to bite my tongue and struggle not to go all the way back to the beginning of the chapter to edit before I'm done cuz that ALWAYS ends up taking precious time away from my actual writing time. There's a middle scene in the chapter between point A and point B that I'm not 100% happy with, but I'm going to try not to think about it too much 😵‍💫

5k into this chapter but I have one more scene to write! This is going to be another long one, lads! I wonder if I can finish it before tomorroooow. Idk. I'm gonna try though!

The next chapter is officially 4k words so far, and it is almost midnight, so I have to go to sleep now 😴 already psyched about the next chapter though ya'll. Excited to go to sleep so I can hurry up and wake up and write more, LET'S GOOOOOO!

It's 9:20 at night and we still COOKING! I'm so happy, if I keep going like this I may actually be able to give ya'll two chapters this week! I'm excited omg omg.

Oh abso-fucking-lutely.

I think Teddy reads just about everything, but his favorites are crime, horror, and fantasy (though if you give him a good historical fiction he'll never put it down. Three Musketeers? Fuck yeah 👌). He also likes sci-fi. In TBOTS Teddy ends up being a novelist, so he's extremely well read. He'll even finish books he doesn't like strictly so he can target what he didn't like about the book in order to avoid adding it to his own stories.

James is a bit pickier with his books, I think, and doesn't read as much as Teddy because I headcanon him getting overly attached to the books he reads and that can be emotionally exhausting (he is so me). He'll reread a lot of books. He's more interested in non-fiction or educational texts like potion books, or even true crime. Like he read Where the Red Fern Grows once and cried over it for a week straight (again he is so me).

Anon, I'm finding a way to include Luna just for you. You deserve it 🥺❤️ (and also Rolf, but since we know so little about him, his personality is mostly built on my headcanons, I hope that's cool 👏).

For your post for what we would like to see for tbots literally everything like romantic scenes with jeddy little hints for the love interests for Louis and Roxanne and everyone else a chapter or two just being teddys pov why James doesn’t like Sirius things revolving around the entire potter line everyone beating up that bitch (whatever his name is) who did all that to James jeddy being romance with each other like maybe they dance together in the kitchen or something and albus or lily sees and the funny thing would be is that they aren’t even together when they do that lol them just knowing each other better then everyone else like picking up on the little things they do them going to see the stars together more sibling moments seeing hermione Ron Luna and all of them

OHOHO my dear anon, you'll definitely be getting some hints at Louis and Roxy's future love interests VERY soon~ There's going to be at LEAST one chapter in Teddy's POV, I think after their confession is what I was planning. It's sort of a way to split the story between now and the future (not the far future mind you, more like a couple months. Think of it as a Special Episode between seasons). For sure Caleb is still around, and he definitely had something to do with those Muggle's dying, not to mention how obsessed he is with James. I swear this fic is turning into a whole thing. That wasn't my plan but I'm having too much fun writing to stop, hope readers don't mind >w< heehee. I'm not sure how much of the parents we'll see, but who knows! We might! As for the romance? Oh yeah. I have one specific cheesy ass scene I am desperate to write, and that one scene is the whole reason Jeddy is going to be confirmed in this fic, because I am DESPERATE to write it. SO, that being said, we will definitely be seeing lots of unnecessarily fluffy romantic shit from those two fools. I'm so excited. Just a few more chapters >W< thank you for the ask!

I know it's not Saturday, but I wanted to make up for missing so many updates, so you get a chapter on Thursday, and if I finish on time, you'll get the next chapter Saturday! Crossing my fingers 🤞 tons to look forward to in the next chapter including Lorcan, Scorpius, Freddy's bar, and POSSIBLY introductions to his band! If nothing else we'll at least see them play! Louis lifted his head, looking desperate. “It isn’t too much to ask that someone get to know me first, is it? I mean I get it, I look like my mum, I’m pretty,” he scowled and rolled his eyes, “I’ve heard it all and it’s always the same thing. I don’t want that.” He sighed, his shoulders sagging. “I want to be with someone who doesn’t care about how I look, like my mum with my dad.”

“Your dad’s still pretty hot, you know that, right?” Roxanne asked in a far too casual voice, and James burst out laughing as Louis cast her an absolutely horrified expression.
