i don’t even want to imagine what it would have been like to be riki. but i’m so, and when i say so, i mean so fucking proud of him for being capable and strong enough to pull through and overcome that. even if it still continues on, he is able to present himself to us. to smile and laugh. to talk to us. even after everything “engenes” have done, he still managed to pull through and be there. i’m so, so, so fucking proud of him. i can’t imagine, i don’t want to imagine, just how hard it must have been to go through, let alone pull through that. he’s so strong, even when he’s not. even when things get hard, he makes it through. that’s so human. it’s inevitable to go through things. but a lot of us don’t have the capability to pull through. he does. that’s something to admire. that’s something i admire.

and of course, she happens to annouce this very loudly in front of y/n, who not only is head cheerleader, but really wants to see their school’s team win as its the only active sports team.

Hi, this is Vivian/Camille, formerly @/dhoya, @/sonatatine (on NCTblr), and now, @/orpheyeux (on enhablr). I've been sitting on the issue for a while, and after countless hours of going back and forth with those that have helped me throughout this entire ordeal, I think I'd like to bring this to the public attention as an educational testimony of sorts on how plagiarism and idea theft can take many, many forms.

It has come to my attention that @/ckvsen's (now deactivated) "In the Middle of Nowhere, From the Middle of Nowhere," has taken elements from several of my works, especially "14 Steps to a Better You," without initially asking me or giving me credit because I deactivated my old writing blog, @/orpheyeux. I initially reached out privately and got the confirmation from @/ckvsen themselves that they did take inspiration from "14 Steps to a Better You." They have since given me credit but because the way they responded rubbed me the wrong way (denial mostly; pivoting the blame to me; the lack of actively fighting to defend their work even when I presented them with a lengthy document), I'll be coming forward and sharing this document so you can view the similarities yourself and make a final judgment. I've yet to receive a proper apology for them taking aspects of my work and using it in their fic, and all I got is a "my bad though" and an "I'm sorry you felt that way," which doesn't look like an admittance to fault or an acknowledgement of taking this situation seriously to me.

From what I can conclude, this is a textbook example of mosaic plagiarism, where instead of taking my work word-for-word, they have taken phrases, concepts, prose, styles, and ideas that I believe are unique to me and my own writing. I like to think and believe that I have a pretty distinct writing style to the point where when I initially deactivated @/dhoya and @/sonatatine, my older mutuals were able to find me as @/orpheyeux through the aesthetics, summary, and writing style I exhibited in the first fic I posted there, "Win" (repost on @/orochxi here). I went under a new pseud and a new fandom while actively pretending I wasn't @/dhoya until so many people have asked me about it, but the fact that my mutuals from my time in NCTblr were able to find me again is, to me, a testament of how distinct my prose/writing style is. I never expected this to happen to me, and if I'm being completely honest, I'm very stressed out about this situation. The only reason I'm coming out and sharing this is to inform other writers that there are many forms to plagiarism and idea theft that often go unnoticed until it's too late. I've spent days talking back and forth between third parties to compare both works, and I've decided that coming out and opening this discourse to the broader platform would quell my anxieties after an overwhelming majority has agreed that the overt amount of coincidences in both works are alarming. Once again, I'm not doing this to stir things; I want to formally open a proper discussion on plagiarism and idea theft. So PLEASE be cordial in your response after scanning through the document and skimming through all the points I've listed. This, to me, is a true parting to this entire situation, and having more unbiased inputs will put the issue to rest and make everything final.
