I’ve been getting ahead in my bullet journal. Got started on the pages for June. I’m going on a trip in May. I don’t really want to be worrying about my journal too much when I’m gone or when I get home.
I wish I had gotten a better photo of this bunny sign before I had wrapped it up. Oh well, live and learn.
Found this little sign at Michael’s around Easter, decided it would be a perfect little gift for my sister and brother-in-law. Originally I did a more purple background but, I think the darker blue works so much better. Especially with the gold border.
Made my sister a birthday card this year. Went for something silly. A girl wearing one of those big dinosaur costumes with the text “oh” on the front. Inside it says “I thought it was a costume party. (Awkward)” and below that it says “happy birthday”
Really happy with how it turned out. Mixed media on card stock - watercolour, coloured pencils and pen. See the inside of the card in the video below
I found this cute little bunny sign at Michael’s. I couldn’t resist getting it to make it into something special for my sister and brother-in-law. Happy with the bunny part so far but, I definitely think I need to change the colour for the background. Still gonna be a purple (I think) but, a different purple? Maybe darker.
[This was written when I worked on this piece. Since it’s intended as a gift, I scheduled for after Christmas. Didn’t wanna chance it since I know my sister is on Tumblr, and follows me]
A couple work in progress shots from the spring/summer. Both of these have been (mostly) finished. The little cat landscape is on a page in my sketchbook, I just need to finish up a few more things on this page. The Rupee painting is done, it’s just awaiting a coat of varnish.
Working on some more painting basics in my new acrylic sketchbook. Painting some shapes, using different values to create a form. First set of shapes are going to be done in grey scale. Using only white, paynes gray and, black paint.
🍏🍎 Finished the first apple on the page I was previously working on in my acrylic sketchbook. Going to be painting a couple more apples on this page. Working on this stuff has been a nice break from some of the other projects I have on the go.
My fiancé’s birthday is coming up this week. Since I’m almost finished with the Mother’s Day cards, I decided I wanted to quickly make him a card. His birthday is the 28th so I’m cutting it a bit close. Not sure if I’m going to do the fish one or the hot sauce one yet.
