Eye of the Beholder; Troy’s journey as a Sirius Character from season 3 to season 8 of FTWD
I’ve talked about the Sirius symbolism for years, and written many posts about it. It ultimately means return/resurrection/rebirth, and it’s not seen just around Beth, tptb utilize it around many characters. Most notably around Rick, which I’ve discussed here. We also saw it around this handsome psychopath from FTWD, Troy Otto.
Tumblr media
I’ve often pointed out how tptb offers us almost a blueprint to how to interpret the symbolism through the various spin-offs. We’ve recently seen Troy Otto “return from the dead” in FTWD, complete with one functioning eye, which is classic Sirius symbolism, and I wanted to elaborate some on his case, because it brilliantly demonstrates exactly how tptb use Sirius symbolism, and how consistently they use it across TWDU. There’s nothing random or accidental about it, it’s all carefully planned and executed.
Within minutes of appearing in his first episode, Troy was was marked by the Sirius symbolism. It was literally the first thing that happened to him in his first episode of FTWD, and the Sirius symbolism was fulfilled 6 years later (6 years for us, the audience. More if you go by the show timeline), when he returned “from the dead”.
Let’s explore his journey!
Tumblr media
When Troy returned to FTWD is season 8b, as a Sirius character with one functioning eye, there really wasn’t any reason for anyone to be tremendously surprised. For starters, his “death" back in season 3 of FTWD was a textbook death fake-out situation. We watched Madison strike him across the side of his head with a hammer, we saw him fall down and we saw him laying unconscious inside the dam structure that was about to be blown up.
Tumblr media
We didn’t see anyone stab him through the brain, we didn’t see him buried. It was heavily implied that he was dead, but there were never any sort of definite confirmation.
He didn’t return for season 4, and I don’t know if he was ever spoken about again on the show. That is, until we saw him in the coda of FTWD episode 8x6 All I See Is Red, and then in the trailer for FTWD 8B.
He was “gone” for a long time, until he suddenly was “resurrected”, in a coda (and OF COURSE we should read into that), seen by a radio (Sirius symbolism).
Tumblr media
But that’s not the only reason we should have known he would eventually return as a one-eyed Sirius character. It was, in fact, foreshadowed pretty much from the second he introduced himself, in the first episode he ever appeared in, 3x1 Eye of the Beholder.
The name of the episode itself, “Eye of the Beholder”, is a clue. I’ve written countless posts about the Sirius symbolism, here’s an example (x). For TD, the most interesting part about the Sirius symbolism around Beth is the one-eyed dog from Alone.
Tumblr media
He introduced himself to Madison and Alicia, and offered a nice cup of tea. We get this shot of a spoon as he says his name. Read about spoon symbolism here, it's tied to the North Star symbolism which I've also written about in a bunch of posts.
Madison wasn’t impressed with Troy or his beverages, and inevitably responded in the most Madison way imaginable, by stabbing the man through the eye, with the spoon we saw just moments earlier.
She stabbed him through the eye WITH A SPOON!!!
Tumblr media
There are a bunch of other references to eyes in the episode as well:
Tumblr media
There are references to death and resurrection:
Tumblr media
There’s a clock on the wall, which happens to have its hands pointing to the 5 and the 8 (as in 5x8 Coda), a complete coincidence I’m sure, not at all related to all the talk about resurrections and eyes/Sirius symbolism:
Tumblr media
There are a lot of numbers mentioned in the dialogue, such as this reference to 11 and 8 (which I’ve written about here and here):
Tumblr media
And let’s not forget this mention of the number 17. Greg Nicotero famously stated in The Talking Dead that there had been 17 days between 5x8 Coda and the start of 5x9 WHAWGO. Many of TD’s theories revolve around what we believe happened in those 17 days. Here, we see that number in a scene where they’re experimenting on how long it takes from a person dies until they “resurrect”. They actually use the term resurrection in the episode. It's all about resurrection symbolism:
Tumblr media
Tptb utilize the Sirius symbolism when a character is about to go through a death and resurrection arc. TD often focus on the Sirius symbolism around Beth, but I think it’s interesting to see how it’s used around other characters as well. Troy’s journey from episode 3x1 Eye of the Beholder to his "resurrection" in 8x6 All I See Is Red proves an excellent example of how tptb utilize the Sirius symbolism. It was literally around him from the second he was introduced in his first episode, and he was “gone” from TWDU for six long years. Tptb always have plan for a future death and resurrection arc when they introduse the Sirius symbolism. And like we've recently seen with Troy, the symbolism is always eventually fulfilled, even if it takes literal years.
When he returned in 8x6, it happened in a coda, which every TD’er quite rightly will heavily side-eye, and we saw him near a radio, which is Sirius symbolism. It was Madison’s voice on the radio that had led him to her, it was the radio that was the “instrument” that facilitated their unhappy reunion. I have a feeling there’ll soon be a different reunion, and I expect it to be of a more “happy” nature 😍

Cauterizing the Beth wound - It burns so bad that Daryl tries to forget her, suppress her, but the cauterization won't hold forever. 🔥 ♥️ 🔥
Tumblr media
Ever since I witnessed Daryl get burnt by the Brulent (burner) walker in the opening episode of Daryl Dixon, I have wanted to write about the symbolism around cauterizing the wound and what it means.
Tumblr media
Many of us have wondered why, for the longest time Daryl never mentioned Beth, she was so utterly forgotten that it was like she didn't exist. The lack of acknowledgement of her has, at times, been infuriating, but it has been done very deliberately, and its meaning goes deep.
The reason she has been "forgotten" is that cauterizing a wound and deliberately suppressing and forgetting something painful, or that you dislike thinking about, are interchangeable.
The new blue-eyed type of walker (Beth) is called a Brulent or burner because their touch burns the skin, leaving a painful mark.
Daryl showed us a mini version of cauterizing the emotional wound, after Beth's "death" in 510. When he burned his hand with a cigarette 🚬
Tumblr media
The cauterization didn't hold for him, emotionally, very long...but the music box plays again soon after this.
The combination of seeing Daryl get cauterized in DD1, and all the Beth reminders we saw with Isabelle, coming to the surface, seem to indicate the emotional cauterization is not holding and the music box should start playing again soon.
The time frame between Daryl losing Beth and the music box playing again, seems to show a mini version of this cauterization/suppression theme.
Tumblr media
Here's where they reverse things... the point where he puts the cigarette on the skin, everything prior to that, shows how desperate he is to be numb and avoid the topic of Beth.
We see it in his conversation with Rick when Rick says, "I know you lost something back there. "...
Tumblr media
Daryl quickly changes the subject to Judith, being hungry and avoiding the topic of Beth.
He did it with Carol, too. While she talked about Beth, he just listened, didn't say a word. Carol even says to him, "You have to let yourself feel it." Meaning, he wasn't letting himself feel it...
Tumblr media
And again, when the group comes across cars in the road that remind Daryl of Beth, he runs away into the woods to avoid it.
Tumblr media
We know this scene must have tweaked something in Daryl because Maggie finds the walker in the car that is absolutely a Beth reminder. Especially with those Brulent blue eyes...
Tumblr media
So 510 was pointing to Daryl cauterizing the Beth wound and Daryl Dixon episode 1 confirmed that theme, with Isabelle (Beth) being the reason he gets cauterized. She preforms the cauterization.
The missing or forgotten 3 weeks is also part of this suppression, and eventually the cauterization of the 3 weeks will stop holding, and we will see what really happened.
But the cauterization/forgetting theme goes deeper still...
The whole show is about the end of the world, so it's no surprise that this cauterizing theme comes directly from the bible and specifically the biblical last days pointing to the return of Jesus (Beth)
For many years, we have talked about how the show has linked Beth with Jesus due to her "sacrificial death" during which she was wearing a cross ✝️. She died to save Noah (Noah is linked to the biblical flood, remember that for later)
Many are sure she will be "resurrected" and return at some point.
Related to this topic, i have also been writing about how the signs of Jesus's return in the last days, as written about in the bible, are linked to, and used in the show, as signs pointing to Beth's return as well.
And really, that's what Daryl meant when he said to Beth, "The signs are all there. You've just got to know how to read them." What signs? The signs pointing to her return, they will all (convergence) be there and the biblical end times are how you read them.
The scenes I will go through below with Isabelle and Daryl perfectly sum up the biblical links to the cauterization theme of suppressing and forgetting, leading to the return of Jesus (Beth)
The first time we see Isabelle (Beth) introduced is when Daryl attempts to tend to his very fresh blue-eyed Brulent wound. He floods the wound with water 💧 Noah was the reason he lost Beth.
Tumblr media
He does this next to a car with Isabelle (Beth) watching. Many believe Beth's body was left in a car at some stage, and that's in part why she goes missing again.
So Daryl tending to his burn wound, next to a car with Isabelle nearby is significant.
It's also a direct connection to the car scene in 510 with Maggie's blue-eyed walker in the back of the car, and the cigarette cauterization at the barn that followed.
Isabelle is standing on a hill with two telephone polls ✝️ the telephone polls represent the crosses that Jesus and the two thieves were crucified on in Jerusalem.
Tumblr media
Once you see it, you can't unsee it... Isabelle herself as a fill-in for Beth, represents the third empty or missing cross and Jesus returned.
We are literally looking at a representation of where Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem, with Isabelle as Beth. It's also a representation of the first time Daryl lays eyes on Beth again, when she returns.
Knowing how this show uses 'the beginning is the end, and the end is the beginning' infinity ♾️ theme. This first scene of Isabelle's is pointing to Beth's last sacrificial scene at Grady, and it's also pointing to Beth's first scene back, representing Christ's return.
This could very well indicate that Isabelle herself will have a sacrificial death at the crossover point when Beth returns.
I have already written about how Beth's return, the upcoming Louvre story, and the Nest are actually all representations of Jerusalem, where Jesus was crucified, resurrected, and is said to return to. You can read more on that here.
But the fact that Isabelle is literally standing on a representation of the hill of Golgotha with two crosses (the place where Jesus and the thieves were crucified) confirms the links to Israel and Jerusalem that I made in that post.
Now, on the back window of the car that Daryl stops at, is one of Isabelle's signs that says "God loves you" pointing to Jesus (Beth) being in the back of the car.
Tumblr media
Daryl wraps that wound up tight, it's fresh, it's sore and it's all because of Beth, in the back of that car.
I will now explain the direct bible verses that they are drawing from, that link cauterization and deliberately forgetting, and point to the end times and the return of Beth/Jesus.
Firstly
In 1 Timothy 4.1-2, the apostle Paul writes to Timothy:
In the last days, many people will turn from their faith. They will be fooled by evil spirits and by teachings that come from demons. They will also be fooled by the false claims of liars whose consciences have been seared by a hot iron.
Paul equates turning away or walking away from Jesus with cauterizing the conscience.
We see Daryl symbolically walk away from the cross, where Isabelle stands, and walk away from Beth in the car that has the "God loves you sign" on it. All of this happens when the main focus has been on his burn (cauterized) wound.
Tumblr media
So, walking away from Jesus or being separated = cauterization. That's why Daryl has never mentioned her.
The other verse that they are drawing from, talks about deliberately forgetting God.
We have all, no doubt, heard a saying at some stage, related to how humans suppress traumatic experiences. It's called dissociative amnesia. We have the ability to suppress things we don't like thinking about.
And that's what is described in 2 Peter 3.3 It talks about deliberately (choosing to) forget God, and scoffing at Jesus's return, which is something we see Daryl do in following scenes.
Tumblr media
When he translates the sign that says "God loves you", he scoffs.
Tch! Is the way that scoff is usually written. The sharp exhalation of breath between the teeth made to indicate derision.
Tumblr media
He then looks back at the representation of Jesus's death and return (Isabelle) and he walks away...turning his back on his faith = losing Beth.
Tumblr media
Here is the verse this scene is pulling from...
2 Peter 3:3 Understand that in the last days, scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.
Daryl scoffs and walks away...
4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, (We actually see Daryl's dead ancestor later on, which is a very good sign that Beth is close) everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”
5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.
6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. (Noah's Ark and the flood)
(In the days of Noah, we saw the flood deluged the barn in 510, what's kept in barns? Animals. Barn =Noah's Ark)
7 By the same word, the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
Back in 510 with Noah, we saw the group discuss when it will rain, because symbolically they were waiting for the flood of Noah's Ark. They survived the storm and deluge by entering the barn (Ark).
Tumblr media
Beth's return is associated with fire judgement, as is the second coming. Sirius meaning scorching, points to this, as does her "Let's burn it down" comments.
Now, the other Barn we saw in the show was at Beth's house and it was burnt to the ground.
Tumblr media
Reversed order: First judgment water second judgment fire. Now Sofia came out of the first barn with a rainbow on her shirt, pointing to the flood judgement. Infinity.
Tumblr media
But back to Isabelle and Daryl.
The last we see of Isabelle in her introductory scene, is when she herself turns to the cross, and puts one of her God loves you signs, right onto the cross.
Tumblr media
This scene is a representation of Jesus being physically placed on the cross and it's inspired by a very famous bible verse John 3.16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Jesus was placed on the cross ✝️ because God so loved the world, just like Isabelle's sign says.
Isabelle's last deed here is representation of sacrificial death, just like Beth's. So this could be an indication of Isabelle's last deed. But it also absolutely confirms, that Beth is going to return.
The writing on the cross/telephone pole before she puts the sign up says "Power of the living". Power means legal or official authority, capacity, or right. It basically says the cross gives the legal right to live!
There is a depiction of fire on the cross/pole (indicating the second judgement - Beth).
Isabelle places the dove picture on top, and if anyone knows the story of Noah and the flood judgement (first judgement) you will understand the flood judgement is what that represents.
Now this leads me back to Merle and Andrea believe it or not. Why?, because as i pointed out in this post here, we are working our way back to repeating season 1.
In season 1, Merle chopped his hand off, and used a hot iron to cauterize the wound.
Tumblr media
He went missing for a long time, as did Andrea, and the two show up at the same time.
They are switching out Merle for Daryl and Beth with Andrea.
Merle handcuffed up on the roof leads to him messing his arm up, (losing his hand) and cauterization...
Tumblr media
Daryl gets tied up by Isabelle.
Losing his hand and cauterizing it saved Merle's life, while cauterization messed Daryl's arm, up but saved his life...
Tumblr media
Merle when he comes across Andrea, asks her to turn around...
Tumblr media
He even says the words "Turn around, that's it, a nice little twirl around". Andrea is a representation of the music box ballerina turning around (playing again) when Merle (Daryl) finds her.
Tumblr media
Once Merle sees who it is, he says "Oh Holy S#&t! Blondie!" He's shocked it's her. But then he makes a suggestive comment "You're looking good!"
Merle asks for a big hug from her, and then Andrea faints...
Tumblr media
This whole scene will be switched up with Daryl and Beth. Most likely it will be Daryl who faints, out of shock that she's alive. There will be big hugs and hints at romance.
Now we know Michonne is currently off finding Rick at the CRM. Well, in the scene with Andrea, she has this symbol on her sword.
Tumblr media
It's the CRM logo, the circles aren't complete but it's the CRM logo.
It's pointing to her story with Rick. It's also pointing to Daryl and Beth being involved with the CRM story at some stage.
Tumblr media
Merle only comes across Andrea and Michonne because of a helicopter crash that leads them to the same location. Circling back to the CRM.
Tumblr media
The CRM logo is actually the symbol for the Trinity, and we are building to the final battle against God, in the battle of Armageddon.
Tumblr media
I might go into this at some stage, if i get time. But that's where it's heading.
Lastly, some may not be aware that Emily's code name in the walking dead when she was filming, was "Mariah". She says it's because she loved signing Mariah Carey songs when she was growing up, and that may well be the case, but i have to add here, that the area Jesus was crucified on is called Mt Moriah.
Beth is alive and coming soon.

Rick's story from season 1 and Beth's missing filming spoilers from season 5. Are they the same? The answer is Yes!
Looking back at the old filming spoilers from season 5 was a great reminder to me, that much funny business went on during filming at the time.
Many fans were EXTREMELY, even obsessively invested in finding out spoilers for season 5. The huge uptick in interest for spoilers was in large part because of what happened at the end of season 4.
We saw Daryl lose the girl that he (let's be honest) fell in love with.
The ship wars began and both those that loved Beth and Daryl, and those that hated them (the darkness) were obsessed with finding out what was going to happen.
Many fans spent hours at the filing locations just to catch a glimpse of who was there and what was happening.
You can read about the unseen Beth filming spoilers here. And all credit to @bethgreeneishopeunseen for the original sources and archives of these spoilers.
Now we don't know exactly what went on and what was really filmed or not but, I remember following the filming spoilers during that time and then seeing what eventuated onto our screens. Mostly what we saw onscreen matched the filming spoilers extremely accurately.
Except for these spoilers revolving around Beth. So it's really odd overall, and I do think the fans who wrote about these spoilers were actually correct in what they saw filmed, but it was never designed to be seen in season 5.
Looking back at Rick's story and knowing now how they repeat everything, even down to the smallest detail...
It inspired me to look again into Rick from season 1 and how those missing spoilers, and Beth footage could be connected to Rick's season 1 story.
It makes more sense now, than it ever did back then.
So I will go through and compare Rick season 1, to the missing filming spoilers to see if they fit together.
I was quite surprised by what I found...
Firstly, we obviously saw this scene repeated already. 👇
Tumblr media
After the hospital, Rick makes his way home on a red bicycle, which he leaves out the front of his house before running into the house, to see if his family is there.
Tumblr media
The first missing footage of interest to me, that lines up with Rick's season 1 story, are the houses that Beth was supposedly seen filming at.
Tumblr media
The white house and the brick house next door to each other...
Tumblr media
Almost all the season 5 characters were seen filming at these locations and 15 eye witnesses say they saw Beth, but no one was able to get a photo as she was hidden as best as possible, and rushed inside very quickly.
If they are repeating Rick's story, which they are, then it's no surprise they picked a house that's visually similar to Rick's own home from season 1. The pillars, the steps, the incline up to the house, the front porch, the window and door placement, and the railings. This is Ricks house. But it's got more Brick.
Beth's brick house made me laugh here, because brick is a combination of Beth and Rick, sorry 😂 anyway...
Tumblr media
Rick leaves the red bike out the front of the house, but at Beth's brick house there is the red car with the Sheriff star on the wheel left out the front.
After Rick realises his family is gone, he gets hit in the head by Duane, and Morgan takes him to a neighbors house.
Beth's missing spoilers said that both the two neighboring houses were used in the filming and as i have said in past posts, there will be a convergence of signs when Beth (Jesus) returns. You can read more about how the convergence works here
They are converging Rick's story and all the imagery around it, and that is what is shown in the missing spoilers, everything we saw from season 1 together. Let me explain more below.
Tumblr media
I found it interesting there is the visual similarity to the interiors of Beth's houses and the house that Morgan takes Rick to.
Rick wakes in a room with floral wallpaper and decorative hanging light fixtures and white trim.
Tumblr media
Now, the black and white picture above, is actually the interior of Beth's White House. Floral wall paper and hanging light fixtures with white trim.
Tumblr media
The other house with brick (Beth's brick house), its interior has a very similar paint colour and similar floorboards to the neighboring house Morgan takes Rick to.
While Beth's white house exterior, matches Rick's white exterior house.
Tumblr media
So we see two houses in the missing spoilers that combined show the two houses Rick went to in season 1, his own white house and a neighbors house.
But the missing spoilers show one more house was filmed at, and that was this house 👇
Tumblr media
A yellow house 🏠 💛 with black roof and black trim.
It's funny because the first picture in this collage below, is the exterior of the neighbors house that Morgan takes Rick to.
Both yellow with black.
This is not a coincidence...
Tumblr media
Outside the yellow house is bike and a red car! Convergence, inversion, infinity.
Now, what's even funnier is the spoilers' state that the male seen walking with Tara, was playing the role of a character named "Andrew" Rick/Andrew.
The houses do seem to be repeating Rick's story, and this made me sure the spoilers are actually correct.
But there's more to look at.
Once Rick recovers in the yellow house, he goes back to the police station he worked at to get weapons.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now I can't help but realise that when Rick was in the hospital, we saw the combination of a hospital plus police officers (Rick and Shane) just like Grady.
Rick goes back to his old police station (aka Grady). Does that mean Beth will go back to Grady? Who knows, but there are other missing spoilers from the hospital that indicated she might have.
Once Rick gets weapons from the station, he drives off in a police car.
One of the spoilers also said Beth was seen driving away from Grady in a police car. Rick was leaving the police station to find his family. Was Beth doing the same? or does she go back to get medical attention or weapons?
Now continuing on with Ricks story, he eventually ends up in Atlanta (Grady for Beth), where he leaves Merle on the roof.
We know Merle cuts his own hand off and goes missing. Daryl was absent at the time and when he found out he was furious and devastated.
I believe this scenario will be repeated with Beth. Merle becomes Beth disappearing with her arm in a cast. You could say her cast, 'hand-cuffs' the wrist.
Tumblr media
What if Beth has her cast removed and Daryl finds it, questioning who removed it, and that leads him to try and track Beth down, even if he still thinks she is dead.
Merle steals a van in season 1, and they lose track of him, we don't see or hear about him for a very long time.
We see Rick find his family back at the quarry camp and Lori asks Rick if he wants his wedding ring back, he says yes, and she gives it to him.
Now, follow me here for a second.
What I just talked about above regarding Merle, his hand, him going missing, and the Lori and Rick's reunion with wedding rings, is a convergence of the signs of season 1, all summed up with these behind the scenes photos or clues, that Norman posted at the time of the missing filming spoilers.
Tumblr media
The bloody hand with what looks like cut marks where Merle cut his hand off, and the combination of marriage and wedding ring symbolism. Nicotero and Norman are 'brother's'...
Tumblr media
Now back in season one Lori takes her wedding ring off when she sleeps with Shane, because she thinks Rick is dead (till death do us part)
Tumblr media
While Daryl finds only Merle's hand in season one, it seems these hints about the missing spoilers point to Daryl finding Beth's cast but losing the love of his life. Divorced.
Knowing how they repeat everything, and how Daryl takes Merle's hand when he finds it (same as taking someones hand in marriage), eventually he will ask Beth to marry him, but I think that will be later on not immediately.
We know Merle shows up again around the time when Andrea does, this is interesting to me because, next year we are going to see Rick (Daryl's brother) back in The one's who live, and we will get season two of Daryl Dixon -The book of Carol, which is really the book of Beth.
Andrea/Merle + Beth/Rick showing up at around the same time. hmm.
The last thing I want to discuss is the retirement home missing filming spoilers...
Beth was apparently seen filming at what was thought to be a retirement home.
Tumblr media
Now, was it definitely a retirement home? We can't be sure, but it really would make sense, why?
Because Rick went to a "retirement home" in season 1.
Tumblr media
Now, to start with Rick doesn't know it's a retirement home, he goes there to trade people. Glenn who was taken, for one of their group.
Tumblr media
This is Rick's version of Grady.
Rick in order to get Glenn back, Rick is willing to shoot the place up in a gun fight if he has to.
Now you will notice at Beth's houses, the red car and the brick house have undergone a massive shoot out, with bullet holes everywhere. Was someone trying to get Beth back and did shoot the place up? I would say yes!
The leader of the other group in season 1, wants Rick's guns and wants the trade to include the guns as well as his man.
Rick declines, saying the guns are his. So the leader threatens to feed Glenn to his ferocious dogs, he says to Rick "I'm going to chop up your boy, feed him to my dogs, three of the evilest, nastiest, meanest bitches you ever saw. Picked em up from Satan at a yard sale".
Now the filming spoilers also indicate that a dog was filming at Beth's houses. A Rottweiler named Ozzy, and his doghouse is located in the yard (yard sale) of the Brick house.
The owner of Ozzy said the dog had two scenes in season 5, but he was never seen onscreen.
Tumblr media
And a sign placed out the front of the brick house said "Beware of dog".
Tumblr media
Now the dogs in Rick's story were not really very scary...
Tumblr media
The leader of the group gave a very long-winded, over the top, scary caution about how dangerous his dogs were.
In the missing filming spoilers, the sign with 'Beware the dog" seems to have 'the dog' crossed out. Kind of removing the warning, like it's not a threat.
But If Ozzy did indeed have a part in these missing scenes, which it looks like he did. Then the low key warning on the sign, combined with the over the top warning from season one about how mean the dogs were, when they actually weren't.
Points to Ozzy being extremely vicious.
Tumblr media
There's actually a lot more i could add, but this is way to long already.
The overall point of looking back at this, is to show the missing spoilers are all too similar to Rick's story to be a coincidence.
We will eventually see them, and it seems to be right around the corner.
One last thing, the episode where Rick gets a reunion with his family is in 103, and it's called, Tell it to the frogs.
Frogs is another way of talking about the french or french people. Linking a big reunion to France...

We have been waiting a very long time for the harvest to get home.
Well, it's almost home.
Tumblr media
We are heading to the Louvre soon, Louve, meaning Wolf.
If the Louvre is just around the corner, then we are here 👇
Tumblr media
Reversing 509, we are soon to find out. "What happened and what's going on with Beth.
Michonne and Rick are out on their own again, all be it separately, while Daryl is with Carol and Isabelle (Beth) repeating the events of way back then.
Maggie has just come from dealing with Negan and little Glenn.
But we are also here 👇
Tumblr media
Morgan is on his way back to Rick Grimes, and the Louvre is not far. Reversing the overall story.
Everything gets a return, Morgan said, and to me, that actually includes the behind the scenes events. Back in season 5, Lenny James had two uncredited appearances. The second of which was in Coda 508.
Tumblr media
In FTWD, he has been removed from the credits in 806 because his last appearance was in 805 (reverse 508)
Tumblr media
Del Arno foods... how the harvest gets home is where the Wolves are located.
The second wolf in command back in seasons 5 and 6 was Owen, whose location is listed as being Del Arno foods.
Tumblr media
His people kill and collect the dead and load them into trailers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They use flashing lights and play music (love and mercy) to collect the walkers.
Tumblr media
With visual parallels that can not be ignored matching DD season 1. Especially the strobe lights.
Last time the wolves were not far, they skipped over Beth's story, but this time, reversed its all about her.
Tumblr media
Beth means "House of" AKA home.
Harvest biblically means resurrection, Jesus connects the harvest to lost souls, gaining eternal life or resurrection.
So if Del Arno foods is how the harvest gets home, and the wolves are located at Del Arno, then you could also say that the Wolves/Louvre is how Beth is resurrected and how Daryl gets his home (Beth) back.
Whether she is physically at the Louvre or we get a clue to her survival there, it's really hard to go past the symbolism that's pointing to a very big triangle. 🔺️ 🎶
The home of wolf is how the wolf gets home.

Isabelle and Carol are Beth.
This is a weird concept for some to grasp as they view the show as having many different characters who are all different.
However to me they are all the same person and one Terminus (ending) moment in particular confirmed this for me.
Terminus meaning the end or end of the line, is showing what will happen at the end of the show.
We see this crazy dude (Rick) with a coda on the right side of his forehead get out of the train car at Terminus and yell "We're the same, we're them, we're the same!" He then has a good laugh about it and dies.
Tumblr media
They are all the same and the ending (Terminus) seems to be pointing to that.
But, so are the characters in that they move in and out of each others story, repeating and inverting scenes that have already been played out.
I call this infinity because they go around and around with the story, but invert and reverse it at the same time.
Every scene has a twin scene right near it, the twin scene is reversed, creating a situation where the beginning is the end and the end is the beginning of each twin scene.
For example, in episode 5 we saw Isabelle wake up in a bed at Quinn's place she was unconsciously taken there without her knowledge. She is wearing the Beth look alike cardigan and polo top, depicting Beth waking up after being shot at Grady (Something we haven't seen yet), but we know Beth changes back into these clothes before she gets shot.
Then in episode 6 we see Isabelle wake up again, this time at the nest.
Tumblr media
Here's where they invert and reverse everything.
She's now got blue pajamas on, a repeat of Beth's blue hospital scrubs that she wakes up in and she has scars. First time waking up for Beth is the last time waking up for Isabelle.
Tumblr media
And Isabelle has a combination of Beth, Carol and Dawn's injuries from Grady combined.
I will show you this convergence of signs with the injuries after i explain why everything being show together at once is so important.
This convergence of signs is so important because, they are using the biblical template of the last days (Terminus/Coda) where the convergence of signs all happening at the same time together, is a maker that the messiah (Jesus/Beth) is about to return.
Jesus's disciples asked him to describe the sign's of the end times (Terminus/Coda) and what that would look like...
Matthew 24.3
“Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.
Tumblr media
6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed.
Tumblr media
Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom...
We know they are building towards a massive battle with the CRM to end the show.
There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
The birth pangs are use to describe the signs getting stronger and stronger before the messiah comes back, just like contractions get closer and closer together and stronger and stronger before a child is born.
The linking of birth pangs to the Messiah coming is a reference to Laurent's whole story.
Jesus then goes on to list more signs of the times, i would need 10 years to go into them all, you can look them up yourself. But Jesus makes sure to explain that it's the convergence of all the signs happening at the same time, that is the marker for his return.
We all know Beth is portrayed as Jesus in the walking dead.
Mathew 24.33 In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door.
Lets look at how all the signs are all there, just like Daryl said to Beth.
Tumblr media
Beth's story will begin again, like it ended.
Back at Grady we saw Carol hit by a car and taken there while unconscious, similar to Isabelle being taken to Quinn's. Carol was given drugs at the hospital, Isabelle was drugged before being taken to Quinn's.
But before arriving at Grady, Carol sustained a bad shoulder injury due to the ambulance falling off the bridge, the ambulance that had a statue of a nun in it.
Tumblr media
Daryl says to Isabelle "Pretty impressive battle wound for a nun".
Tumblr media
Isabelle gets stabbed through the shoulder like Dawn did with the scissors, and her wounds are stitched up in a manner to remind us Beth's scars.
Isabelle's stab wound goes all the way though like Beth's head shot went all the way though too.
Dawn's stab wound to the shoulder didn't go all the way through, and like Carol's shoulder injury, it was superficial.
Dawn getting shot and dying, is the twin inverted scene to Beth getting shot and not dying. And the two head shots literally happened right next to each other, a twin scene just moments apart is a convergence of the signs, beginning to end, end to beginning.
Tumblr media
The last scene of episode 6 DD we see Carol hide a wrench up her sleeve, while Beth hiding the scissors up her sleeve is almost the last thing Beth does before she dies.
Carol knocks out the Guy on Daryl's bike from behind and puts him in the car, coming full circle to Carol getting hit by the Grady car and put in it!
Tumblr media
If we circle to Beth after she gets shot, unconscious, she will get placed in a car.
Isabelle, at the nest, wakes up with the shoulder injury and realises Daryl has been sleeping next to her.
Tumblr media
Just like Carol and Daryl in Consumed but reversed, Carol gets her shoulder injury after this moment. I'll say it again, Carol and Beth are inverted twins, and only one of them made it to Terminus or the end of the show...
The hawk eyes of @bethgreeneprevails found this coda on the pillar at the nest.
Tumblr media
And it's significant that it's being shown now, again it's shown twice, it has a twin scene very close to each other.
Tumblr media
First we see it while they are feasting at the nest and Daryl gives a toast.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Still, we saw the other twin scene, and it's here that Daryl says "Home sweet home" to Beth, while they raise their glasses and drink.
It's no coincidence that episode 6 DD is called 'Coming home', and it's in this twin scene with Isabelle that we are shown the coda symbol on the pillar once again.
It's the first time we have seen it since Coda!!!
The twin coda seen with Daryl and Isabelle the second time, when they are talking about Daryl leaving, depicts the end of Daryl and Beth's story. Where it ends in goodbye (death).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From now until the end (Terminus) of the show we will see the fulfillment of Jesus's words: But the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom...
They will at the end of the show, converge all the spinoffs together for a massive war and a cure of (death/sin) being found.
The cure story will be a twin to the beginning of the show at the CDC when Dr. Jenner is looking for a cure, and he says, "we're all infected." He didn't find one back then, but the twin inverted scene at the end of the show will.
And yes, the pillar we see the coda on is suppose to be a call back to the tree that Morgan finds the coda carved into just after Beth is "killed" and the twin scene to that coda, is the guy at Terminus!
Yelling we're the same!
Tumblr media
As for Beth's return, we see a hint of what's coming next, when Genet talks about how she used to work in a Museum. We are heading to that museum - the Louvre. And it's where Beth (Isabelle/Clemence Poesy) will be found.
Tumblr media
The end.

Got some grit in the gearbox, Daryl?
Kudos to Sylvie for cutting through the crap and getting straight to the important stuff:
Tumblr media
Spoilers for TWDDD 1x6 “Coming Home” below.
Back in TWD 6x14 Twice As Far, we were all baffled to learn that Daryl, our favorite southern redneck, for some inexplicable reason didn’t know how to drive a manual car. Yeah. Super weird.
Tumblr media
In fact, it was so utterly incomprehensible, that the only possible logic for including that bizarre scene in the episode would be for symbolism purposes.
Because in fact, in TWDDD 1x6 Coming Home, Daryl's response to Sylvie’s question “have you ever been in love”….
Tumblr media
...was to change gears. Very demonstratively.
So clearly the man knows how to do it. Why did tptb so badly need us to know that Daryl didn’t know how to drive a manual car back in 6x14 Twice As Far?
This was Denise’s death episode, and she spent a considerable amount of her last minutes on the show explaining to Daryl how to change gears. It all seemed a bit odd. Why?
I’ve answered that question already. They did it for symbolism reasons.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Denise joined the show in season six, TD immediately recognized her as a Beth proxy. She was also ultimately killed off by taking an arrow through the eye (Sirius symbolism). Daryl was very distraught from her death.
It’s not for nothing that she, the Beth proxy, was the one who (for symbolism reasons) had to teach Daryl Dixon how to change gears properly. Because not only would Daryl on a normal day obviously be perfectly able to drive stick (he literally built a motorcycle from spare parts! Come on! The man clearly knows his way around gears), he was also the one who fixed the music box back in 5x11 Them (yes the one that totally symbolizes Beth).
His diagnosis? Grit in the gearbox.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I wish I could remember who first made me aware of the link between Daryl’s inability to properly change gears and the grit in the gearbox. It was likely @wdway or @angelthefirst1, as they’re both experts on catching parallels like these)
I want to take some time here to remind everyone about the meaning of the numbers 11, or “one one”. I’ve written extensively about it, both in the past and more recently. 5x11 “Them” was the eleventh episode of season 5. Remember this post about the connection between the words “record” and “heart”? A music box is part of the “recording studio” symbolism. A record player is a music box, illustrated below by the record player Daryl got for Judith in season 11, a record player in a box, a literal music box. The music box from “Them” is part of the “one one recording studio” symbolism I’ve talked about so much recently.
Tumblr media
And the music box that symbolized Beth had “some grit in the gearbox” according to Daryl.
Let’s move on to the clock for a minute. After escaping from Madame Genet’s Maison Mere, they find a police car (Police = blue). Before they start driving, Laurent gives Daryl the clock, and Daryl attaches it to the rear view mirror. Remember there are strong navigational themes around the clock.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Remember Morgan’s rabbit’s foot from 5x8 Coda? It was literally one of the first things we saw on the show after Beth had "died".
Tumblr media
We later learned in a flashback (in 6x4 Here’s Not Here) that it originally belonged to Eastman, who in turn had gotten it from his daughter. He told the story of how it gave him hope and a will to survive, it was truly a good luck charm.
We also saw in in 5x16 Conquer, hanging from the rear view mirror of a car, much like we saw Laurent's clock hanging from the rear view mirror in 1x6 “Coming Home”.
Tumblr media
I talked about the symbolism around the rabbit's foot and rear view mirrors in my Sirius/North Star master post. Back then I interpreted it as something that was about "looking back", like "back in time", plus the obvious "back" = "coming back" = "return". In fact, we also saw a walker that appeared to have her head twisted around so that she was facing backwards, something which in my opinion further indicated a theme of "looking back". Again, this was directly after Beth had "died", and symbolically speaking, looking back would mean looking back at Beth's "death". Like, "Reverse! Everything is not quite what it seems".
Tumblr media
The link between Sylvie's question about Daryl's love life, the clock and the music box from 5x11 Them is the grit in the gearbox. The gears. Immediately after Sylvie has asked her question, and Daryl has successfully changed gears, the car starts malfunctioning. Could it be grit in the gearbox perhaps?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The music box had grit in the gearbox, but he fixed it...

Daryl Dixon 1x06: Coming Home Video Analysis
The finale of season 1 has dropped and I have TONS to say about it. Even though we didn't actually see Beth, there are SO many things pointing to her imminent appearance. In this episode, I talk about:
1) How the stuff about Daryl's father and grandfather relates to Beth
2) The on-the-nose ways they call back to Beth throughout the episode
3) Why I'm not worried about a Daryl/Isabel romance, even though they're teasing it.
4) How we can clearly see that Daryl's heart isn't with Isabel
5) Another example of Beth "changing Daryl's mind" in this episode
6) And much more!
So give this video a watch and tell me in the comments what your favorite part of the finale was!

Isabelle: *Learns of Daryl Dixon’s childhood trauma and uses it against him to guilt him to stay into France for her own selfish reasons*
Beth Greene: *Learns of Daryl Dixon’s childhood trauma and helps him heal by burning down a cabin that reminds him of his traumatic past and tells him to stay who he is not who he was*
One of these things is not like the other.

what makes you so sure Beth could still come back after so many years? I thought she might for a long time but honestly it'd be a recycle of the Madison plot on Fear and now again with Rick. Three times repeating the same plot thread is pushing it don't you think? It's surely not good story telling for every ambiguous character death to be a fake out which is what it would be. It'd make it too predictable even for a general audience.
Actually, that's exactly what makes me think she WILL come back. There are some fans who think that every time TWD does a circular arc, or a resurrection plot, that it's lazy writing.
It's not. You're welcome to your opinion and if it's not your thing, of course you're not going to like it. But it's the opposite of lazy writing.
TWD writers do the circular arcs intentionally. Which means it's the opposite of lazy. It's very well thought out. I think it's mostly thematic. We tend to repeat the same toxic patterns in our lives until we figure out how to actively break out of them. They sometimes show this literally (think Gina and Blair of Tales) and other times it's more subtle.
But my point is that there are tons of similarities between Beth's arc and Ricks, and between Beth's arc and Madison's. So, the fact that they did death fake outs for both Rick and Madison is exactly what tells me that Beth will follow the same patterns. The similarities are put in intentionally, as is the repetition of the arcs.
The instant I watched Madison's "death" episode, I knew she wasn't dead and would be back. I won't say I knew instantly with Beth, though I suspected. But I was 100% certain by 5x10. So again, I'm just pointing out that reading this symbolism a certain way has been correct 99.9% of the time. That's all.
Xoxo! ❄️😍
